Specialties

«Hip, affordable, and resolutely casual,» according to Travel + Leisure St. Pete Beach’s Postcard Inn Hotel is located on prime beachfront on Florida’s West Coast, minutes away from downtown St. Petersburg and a short drive from Tampa. From décor to dining this St. Pete Beach hotel is the Gulf Coast’s Great American Escape. Each room is a uniquely accented throwback to a time when road trips ruled and surfers were kings. Modernized with Wi-Fi and flat screen TVs, every room, from our Poolside Cabanas and Beach Bungalows to our Classic King, is just footsteps from the warm sand and refreshing Gulf Coast water.

History

Established in 2009.

The Postcard Inn was established in 2009 as a remodel from a Travelodge. The idea was to recreate the old style hotel with a surfer beach throwback in time. The designer did just that with 196 rooms of 1970’s photos of surfers, actual surfboards mounted to the walls and ceramic tile that looks like plywood. They accomplished the look and feel of a retro fit with a casual laidback vibe that all ages can enjoy. Since the recreation a new owner has just recently bought the hotel and is reinvesting 6 million dollars to take the original concept to the next level. They will be adding more event space, newly appointed sleeping rooms with bamboo chairs, beachy décor with driftwood picture frames and shower and wall tile the fit the style. This project will be done in December 2015.
