Bayview Ob/gyn

This is a great group of doctors. I have seen all the doctors here, but Liz was the one to deliver my son and I was more than pleased with her. She was very informative and compassionate to me and my entire family. I see Michelle for gynecology and you could not ask for a better person. I’m never rushed and all my questions are always answered. Both are EXCELLENT. HOWEVER, the front office of this practice really should receive a negative star. Cat in billing is terrible at her job and tried to charge me twice on my delivery. She had no proof of what I had previously paid (argued with me about the matter) and the only reason why I did not have to pay the second time was because I just happen to have the receipt from the previous visit. I was expected to pay almost $ 1400 without notice (I was literally checking in for my appointment when slapped with this bill) and instructed that I would have to pay THAT DAY or not be seen at all. Then after my son was born, I had to call this office multiple times (while still in the hospital) because I had already paid for a service to be performed while we were in the hospital and the billing office didn’t have any proof. It took two days to get straightened out.
I dread every time I go here because of the billing department and always take my receipts with me. A great group of doctors, just be wary of the front!

This is a wonderful office! Always very organized and I was always in and out. I highly recommend this off office! My csection is scheduled and I couldn’t be more comfortable with our decision!

I could not be more pleased with both Dr. Reyes and Lucy Bosley, CNM… the quality of care and the quality of CARING is exceptional. Everyone in the practice is attentive, detail oriented and together create an atmosphere of comfort, trust and confidence from the moment one walks into the reception area until they check out at the end of their appointment. Excellent experience every time!

The nurses and doctors may be great, but they will continue to lose patients if the front end of the process remains as it is.
Yes, I delivered my child through the staff here and they were wonderful at that time, but it is the appointment setting process which has remained a deterrent for me to return as a patient.
I literally came straight from the hospital after my discharge to here as my follow-​up. I was not well enough to drive and had a cabbie bring from the hospital and this was explained to them over the phone prior to my arrival. However, it wasn’t until I arrived that they told me the cost. With my insurance I cannot fathom how it still cost so much but I felt I should have been informed prior to my arrival, especially when I provided all my insurance info by phone and was coming straight there from the hospital via a cab driver.

I came to Bayview in the middle of my pregnancy because of a bad experience with my previous doctors office. Well let me tell you the staff and doctors at
Bayview are top notch. I had the most amazing birthing experience and highly recommend them to anyone having a baby or just looking for an OBGYN. They were always available to answer my questions and took me seriously when I had concerns about my pregnancy. Dr. McNeill delivered my son and he was amazing. But Dr. Reyes, Lucy, and Darlene are amazing too. The front desk staff, nurses, and sonographer are also super friendly, professional, and supportive. They always have appointment times to meet your needs and there is never a long wait. If you are looking for a new doctor I recommend them hands down. Top notch all the way!

I have been a patient of this practice for over 10 years. I see Liz, the nurse practitioner. Honestly, words can not describe my admiration for her. She’s professional, caring and knows her stuff. She’s always fitted me in when I needed to see her ASAP and she truly cares about me and my well being.
Nancy, up front, is extremely professional and efficient. She knows me by first name and always asks how me and my family are doing.
When my husband and I are ready to start a family, I know that I will be in great hands and will have an enjoyable experience.

We have been dealing with Bay View’s staff all week during a crisis. We have found the staff to be insensitive and unaccountable and difficult to work with. It has been an extremely difficult task to simply get our records sent to a different clinic in a timely manner. In times of crisis it is so important to have calm, supportive and gentle people on your side. We have found Bay View to be lacking in this.

Drs. McNeil and Reyes took great care of me while I experienced my 2^nd pregnancy. I was high risk but they made me feel completely comfortable and took the time to reeducate me in regards to everything I was experiencing.

Dr. McNeill is amazing. He delivered all 3 of my boys at Bayfront Medical Center. Well, the third one was at the new Baby Place there. Their office on Central is beautiful. The magazines are always new and organized, the staff is the same since I started going there, I am happy with Lucy the midwife, Dr. Reyas the other doctor, and Liz the nurse practitioner but Dr. McNeill has to be my favorite. He’s so professional yet so so caring. My first baby was full term and and a perfect pregnancy, but when Dr. McNeill saw that my «water» had dark stuff, he knew to take the precautions for meconium aspiration for my little guy. The delivery went smoothly, he predicted how many centimeters I would be dialated and how much time it would take to be ready to push. He had the Bayflight medical crew there ready to rush my baby through the tunnel to All Children’s hospital after the delivery. Dr. McNeill kept me calm, explained everything, and helped with that emotional time. I got to see my baby boy before he went to All Children’s. He stayed with me while my husband went with our baby. My friends in the waiting room were ready to come see the baby but all they got to see was me, and I was sad and tired. Dr. McNeill said he would stay and explain it to them, I was so happy that I didn’t have to talk. Then he went WITH me after I was cleaned up to go see our baby at All Children’s. I think the nurses over there gave us more answers with how long he had to be on the preventative antibiotics and when he could go home. I’m SO thankful for such a caring doctor! Our baby is 7 now and is fine, but he helped us with the normal precautions. A lot of my friends now go to Dr. McNeill. I know if I had another baby, Dr. McNeill will deliver him/​her even if I move away, I’m coming back!
8÷21÷15 Edited to add that he delivered my 4^th baby too, it’s a girl this time! I just opened this page to show a friend and saw my review said 3 kids but I have 4 now:) I’m done having babies but still recommend the practice to friends, even when they live outside of St. Pete.
