History

Established in 2012.

After 30 years of practicing in the area of catastrophic injury litigation, I refocused and opened my own practice to assist people directly in organizing their lives and assets according to their values and choices. Since starting this practice, I have assisted singles, couples, seniors, health care providers, health care businesses, and small businesses with legal planning, asset protection, obtaining medicaid assistance for nursing home care, starting a small business, and making sure their values and choices are protected. I also practice real estate law, assist buyers & sellers (including «for sale by owner»), conduct real estate closings, and issue title insurance.

Cathy graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy with High Distinction in 1978 and worked as a Pharmacist before graduating from The Ohio State University College of Law with Honors in 1982. She represented people injured by medical malpractice in Columbus, Ohio, served as a law professor at the University of Louisville School of Law from 1987 to 1992, and joined the Florida Bar in 1992. For the next 20 years, Cathy continued to represent catastrophically injured people in Florida and Ohio in litigation cases. In 2012, Cathy refocused and opened her own practice to assist clients with life planning, LGBT planning, elder law, probate, asset protection, nursing home medicaid assistance, small business, real estate, real estate closings, and title insurance.
