Established in 1984.

During the 1960’s and 1970’s, the separate accounting practices that would merge in 1984 and become Gregory, Sharer & Stuart, established reputations as dependable business advisors. The goal of our founding shareholders was to create a firm with a depth of personnel and quality of service unrivaled by any other firm.

Gregory, Sharer & Stuart is the largest independent public accounting firm in St. Petersburg and one of the largest firms in the Tampa Bay area. We service clients locally, across the state of Florida and throughout the United States.

Meet the Manager

James N.

Manager

Jim joined Gregory, Sharer & Stuart in 1984, becoming a shareholder in 1985. He is now the firm’s Managing Shareholder and has served in this capacity since 2000. He leads the firm’s Manufacturing Industry Service Team. His work spans companies of all sizes, from $ 5 million to $ 100 million.

Jim began his career in the largest local firm in Texas, located in Houston. He worked with a national firm in St. Petersburg for five years prior to joining GSS in October 1984. Jim has served a variety of clients throughout his career with emphasis in manufacturing, distribution and franchise operations — particularly in helping owner-​managed companies improve their business processes.
