We fit you for running shoes using our one-​of-​a-​kind StrideSmart Fitting Process to give you a comprehensive, unique fitting experience that addresses your entire stride, from head to toe.

Our hand-​picked, talented team takes a total-​body, total-​life approach to customer interactions – it’s not about one pair of shoes; it’s about finding the best solutions for your running life. Poor service… tried to tell me I needed a support shoe when i have never had issues except when running in a support shoe. Already had his mind made up and very cocky. Very few options to choose from. I didn’t purchase and will never come back.

I have trusted the owner, Cody, for 10 years. He is passionate about helping people pursue the activity about which they are most passionate! He is knowledgable and trustworthy and is doing some really cool things to build community around staying active. Working with athletes has been his passion since I have known him. You will be in good hands if you work with him or anyone he trusts to work for St. Pete Running Company.

You would expect good customer service when a business is trying to make a sale but I always brace myself for the worst when I’m making a return without exchange. I had a pair of sneakers that I purchased here over a year ago! I’ve never worn them, have the receipt, forgot all about them in the back of the closet and meanwhile moved on to a barefoot sneaker that I loved. Today, I sheepishly brought these shoes back, expecting there was no way I’d be able to return them… they gave me a full refund! No hard feelings, or awkwardness, the easiest transaction and friendliest staff! I’m just super impressed with their customer service!

Can’t say enough good things about this store. The staff goes to great lengths to help not only with your footwear, but also with your running and walking form. They pointed out issues I was not aware I had and the results were great. The fit is perfect, and I was even shown a new way to tie my sneakers that helps with ankle support. The fact that I wound up paying less for my sneakers than I would have on Amazon or eBay was an unexpected and appreciated surprise. I walk 5 miles per day and won’t buy my sneakers anywhere else now.

Cody helped me out and was awesome to work with. Presented me with the right running shoe that would work best for me and gave me multiple options as far as brands. I got one of those foam rollers for calves and it works great. Pay this store a visit.

Well worth the drive from Safety Harbor! A friend of mine told me that her running coach raves about this place and I looked at the reviews and decided to try it. My husband and I went down there yesterday and we were not disappointed. The customer service was stellar. Every customer was greeted as soon as they walked in the door. When we walked in, we were greeted and Brea (not sure of spelling) took me over to the women’s shoe area and proceeded to do several evaluations of my balance and gait. I was impressed by the thorough evaluation. She measured my feet and brought out several options. I ended up with a great pair of shoes for my particular situation and left there feeling valued as a customer. I highly recommend a trip to this store if you need running shoes, or like me, good shoes for athletic walking.

I love supporting local businesses. I love it even more when they offer unprecedented levels of customer service. You can buy new kicks just about anywhere, and pay just about any price. The reality is, even the most seasoned runner has no clue what the best shoe for their individual foot is. I will never buy another pair of running shoes anywhere other than St. Pete Running Company​. It took me 40 minutes to get there, but worth every second. The guys at St Pete Running won’t even suggest a pair of shoes until they know about you and your running. Then, they put you on a treadmill and use an ipad to video your running from multiple angles. An app on that iPad analyzes your individual stride and level of running efficiency. I know I’m a slow runner, but according to the app I’m a very efficient runner! It is only after all the data is processed they present the customer with multiple options for a new pair of running shoes. The additional cost for all this? Nothing. In fact they put me in a new shoe that is biomechanically better for me that costs $ 80 less than the shoe I was previously wearing. They also took a good 30 minutes to show me stretches and other training techniques to help me over come a current injury. It doesn’t matter what level runner you are, they treat everyone the same. Plan on being a bit patient because they are going to give the person in front of you the same level of outstanding service you will get.

1st off let me begin by saying I drive over an hour to shop here. If that doesn’t tell you something then here are some details why:
This store is extremely inviting and exciting to visit. I always feel like the staff dedicates and manages to spend ample time with me along with tending to the other customers. It’s a comforting experience. Plus they stock much cooler shoes than other stores.
Owen and Cody, also took time and taught me some stretching and «Trigger Point» technics that not only unlocked power, but help me recover quicker with less aches and pains.
This is not an order taking running store, it’s a game changing experience for your athletic lifestyle.

The first time I walked in, I told them my son needed new shoes due to some foot issues he was having. They spent over an hour anylizing his running and teaching him drills. Most impresively we walked out without having bought the 100 dollar pair of shoes I told them we came for. They said to try the drills for a month and that should fix his trouble.
We have been back many times and sent many friends. They have earned my trust as honest people concerned with the big picture not just a fast sell.

This place has given me both the best 1:1 service and the best prices and the best shoe fitting experiences I’ve ever had. I love their enthusiasm for all things active, and their willingness to help you no matter where you are in your fitness journey. To them, it feels like it’s about passion, not about money. The selection they offer are great, and I love when they reach out to the online groups and ask our opinion on whether to buy/​pass on products. I feel that I can trust this store to guide me in the right product needs for me at that time. Need running shoes? BEST.Fit.In.Town! Just go — it is worth it.

It doesn’t get better than this place. This isn’t just a running store — this is a place that brings a community together.
But first let’s talk about the shoes. If you are in search of new running kicks, this is the place. They measure your feet, record you as you run on a treadmill, and analyze your stride and lots of other things — and then suggest the shoe that is right for you. They even talked me into function over fashion :) you will try on multiple pairs — and run in them. This isn’t like stride rite when you were a kid. They make sure you get that shows that will work for you.
They have also created an Amazing running community. They offer free group runs Monday and Thursday nights at 6:30pm. There are walkers, joggers, runners, triathletes, Iron men and women, kids and dogs. They are so welcoming and inviting. It doesn’t matter your running ability — you will immediately feel part of this awesome group.
They also offer so many great educational classes at no cost — foam rolling, how to run, hydration, nutrition, etc.

If you need shoes to fit YOUR run and your needs… this is the place to come. They will analyze your run, go over help tips, and find your perfect shoe. We had an amazing experience and my son walked out with shoes that FINALLY fit properly! Runners this is your store… and it is close to Largo, Seminole, and St Pete.
