Tyrone Square

this mall is great to be when hanging with friends and shopping, but i wish there would be more things to look forward to. maily i shop at jcpenney, hot topic, or some other place. i wish they’ll have a kpop and kdrama merchandise too.

This is a good mall. I came here on 7÷17÷10 with my HS friends. This mall is pretty damn big and nice.

Normally it would be a 5. This is a Christmas rating. Went shopping there today and was excited for the Christmas music, decorations. With almost 80 degree weather, it would be great to get inside for some Christmas enthusiasm. How depressing. No music, no trees. Only a few bows up high. Okay, got what I wanted right away and left without even browsing. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. No difference between today and July.

One of the scariest places I have ever worked. Talk to any of the merchants and they will tell you that the owners & mall staff are rotten, mercenary people with no interest in either the merchants or the customers. The security vendor is getting constant complaints for heavy-​handed, racist handling &, although, they are usually not bad people as individuals (no one is perfect, let’s get real), they can be a bit racist and heavy-​handed, esp. when it comes to teenagers. It is a scary place at night, too. I used to meet my Meetup group for dinner at restaurant on-​site & had to have an escort to my car afterward.

I was a little disappointed in the overall feeling of the mall. It seems there should be more security. There is no covered parking for protection from heat or the afternoon showers. This is a Simon mall and the anchor stores are Macys, Dillard’s, Penney’s, oh, and Sears. The mall has all the usual stores like AE and Aeropostale, also Old Navy and H&M. Just seemed a little tired.

While it’s not perfect, its the only air conditioned mall around here so you best be not complaining.
Seriously though, this mall isn’t half bad! With the closure of Seminole Hallway, this is THE ONLY air conditioned mall in the south half of the 727. It has everything you need, so why are you guys complaining!
Let’s see. The food court is fine. Japanese, Cajun, Subway, Charley’s, Hooters, Pizza, Chick Fil A, Burger King and Chinese. What else do you need! There is even a new phở and boba place where the fountain used to be.
The anchor stores are pretty typical. Sears, JC Penney, Macy’s, and Dillard’s. Honestly, the Sears should go. It’s a huge space, so maybe a Nordstrom? Please?
If you’re looking for what’s in style, go to H&M. They get new stuff almost every time I go. Their clothes are dirt cheap, and by the time the clothes fall apart they’re out of style anyways. Plus they have large sections for both guys and gals, so you can get all of your shopping done at once.
They also have the usual Hollister, Aeropostale, and American Eagle. For the gals, there’s Charlotte Russe, Victoria’s Secret, DSW, Express, and Rue 21(which apparently is inferior to Forever 21).
For kids, there’s Gap and the Children’s Place. They can even blow off steam in the playground in the JC Penney plaza, conveniently located near Dairy Queen.
If you have money to blow, go to Brookstone or Starbucks.
The dining district has Lime (horrible, read reviews), Bonefish, Red Robin, and Lee Roy Selmons. Lee Roy Selmons is the best for your money, but I heard it is being replaced by something else.
This is a pretty average mall. It would normally earn three stars, but because its the only indoor space down here, it earns four.

Typical mall in a not that great area. Had some good stores like Macy’s, Sears, Brookstone, Cotton On, Abercrombie, Victoria’s Secret, etc. But also had some random mom and pop over priced stores.

A decent, basic mall. My favorite store is Charlotte Russe, and happy it’s at this mall since it’s close to my house. The mall is also surrounded by plenty of other stores. There’s something for everyone in the area.

Not a bad mall. It’s got a decent food court, a good clothing store selection and 4 department stores to choose from.
It’s always clean and I constantly see security guards around. I was sad to see Borders is gone, and there is no replacement bookstore, but maybe that’s just a sign of the times.

I love this mall. Has every store I want and its empty! No annoying people. So don’t go here. I want it to stay this way.

Decent mall with plenty of moderately priced stores. It was quite spacious, and kind of dead, but this was on a Wednesday afternoon at around 12 – 1 and therefore not an accurate representation most likely. Huge parking lot outside. One thing I did notice about the mall is its «frozen in time» look. It literally looks like something from an 80’s teen movie.

It used to be THE place to be and to be seen back in the 80s and 90s, now it’s like watching an aging parent. The stores are disappearing and not being replaced. I saw Cache closing recently and realized that something is incredibly wrong. The highly expensive store for older thin and elegantly dressed women has been around all my life as an unmoving staple. Even S’barrro’s Pizza from the food court vanished. A pizza replacement came that I regretted trying. Not sure if it’s there anymore. In general, there seems to be an atmosphere of lack of interest in the air. There are good things like the bathrooms are clean, touchless and modern. Halloween is largely celebrated by having the children walk to the different stores for candy providing a safe environment for trick and treating. They still have a good selection of stores and a few years back added H & M which is my favorite. The Charlotte Russe and other similar stores seem to have really made an effort to lower their prices. I hope to see a positive change but it will take work, the right people on their team, timing and a dash of hope.

This mall is like a little joke. But maybe I’m spoiled with malls after living in Toronto where the malls are great, and after living next to Aventura Mall which is amazing!!! This mall really has no good stores! The food court is small, with only few options.
Ok, there is Macy’s… and Starbucks.
But nothing else that I would like. Sears, Dillard’s, JC Penny’s — no, thanks. Dillards is one of the worst stores with bad customer service and no return policy. There is no real Sephora (except small counter at JC Penny’s that sell really small selection), no Nordstrom, no Bloomingdales — I suggest going to Tampa or Sarasota (UTC).

Tyrone does not have a great reputation. The stores are in general not clean and the mall isn’t great either and there are way too many kiosks. The location of this mall has excellent potential, but the owners have just let the mall get too run down. Hopefully with the new movie theater coming in the mall will turn around.

i have been to this mall a few times, and I like it a lot. It’s a good size with stores I don’t see by my mall. It’s clean and comfy. Some of the stores I like to stop by are Francesca’s, Old Navy, & H&M. They also have a food court, Hooters, Red robin, and Ruby Tuesdays. They have a Sears and Macy. Good place for some retail therapy, a break from the beach, or a haven from the rain.

If you are looking for a mall with fine dining, spectacular commodities, luxurious
merchandise, topnotch security and grand mall-​updates then sorry, you are at the wrong place. However, it’s still a great mall and one of my favorites in the bay area.
Tyrone square mall has all the stores I enjoy, my safety is not in question, I find great deals, and I always have positive experiences. Inside the mall you will find your mall basics such as jcpenny, sears, h&m, g by guess, ect and all the stores I love surrounding it such as homegoods, ross, tj maxx as well as restaurants. I come here to leisurely shop and thoroughly enjoy myself each time.
Yes, the mall décor is a bit dated and you won’t always find the most sophisticated of shoppers surrounding you, however, the mall is appeasing, safe, clean and offers great stores.

I like this mall! I My hometown’s «mall» was TINY compared to Tyrone Square Mall so I’m very happy with all of the stores here. It’s never really extremely crowded the times I have been and I’ve always been able to find parking (pro-​tip: don’t try to park near the main entrance and park at one of the department stores. You’ll get in and out much quicker!).
Lots of stores to appease me and keep me busy for hours! The food court and restaurant options are not too shabby either. I believe there’s a Lee Roy Selmon’s, Hooter’s, Bonefish Grill, Lime Fresh Mexican Grill and a couple other restaurants located here. Interior of mall is nice and always clean. I prefer shopping here as opposed to International (so busy there!). Smaller crowds and because of this– better in store selection and stock of things I want!

The only mall in St. Pete fl, offers a varied selection of items for every member of the family. It is not a rather bad mall and is one of the oldest in the Bay Area that hasn’t been hit by overpopulation of empty store fronts.
I frequent the mall for the great clearance items that can be found at almost every store that you walk into. My motto, why pay full price for last seasons clothes, when you can get them for up to 50−70% off regular prices? I usually come here to window shop, but when I do shop, I usually can find what I need without breaking too big of a hole in my pocket.
Unlike most places, this one is still in its original form and location, there have been major add-​ins over the years, such as new restaurants and new stores that have filled voids. I am never bored when I come here and if you are the type to snub your nose at the common man’s clothes, then Tampa has a mall that can perhaps break your wallet and your heart, but me, I’ll stick to what is tried and true and continue to support my local mall. Just wish they would go ahead and build another movie theatre though.

I wouldn’t know what mall to go to in St. Pete if they smacked me in the face.
On a random «Explore St. Pete» day we searched «mall» and this came up. So we went here. Tyrone Square Mall has potential, but settles in somewhere between Tampa’s prime jewel University Mall and maybe… Westshore? It wasn’t thaaat bad, but it also wasn’t great or upscale by any means. Coty had it right that there are a lot of juniors clothing options (but I still wear some juniors clothes although I’m in my mid-​20s, don’t judge me!). The fact that they have an H&M though– big plus! We also tried a new store called Cotton On that I had never even heard of before (I live under a rock apparently) but I liked the selection. The sales associates at both stores were friendly.
I think this mall is alright but it needs a facelift on the outside. The «perpetually under construction since the 1970s» look ain’t a good one.
I’d probably return if I was in that area again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

This is pretty much the only mall that you can go to in the St. Petersburg area.
Honestly, it is a pretty cheap looking mall. The stores are on the lower end and there are a ton of retired and unemployed people during the day. I had to run in around noon on a Monday to get a new phone and it was surprisingly full of people.
This mall is fine if you just want to go to department stores and a few others, but I wouldn’t make this my go to mall for just browsing.
Also, there really isn’t any other food than the food court. All the food in the food court is basically fast food. If this was not the only mall in the St. Petersburg area, I would not understand why people would go here.
