The Club has a dance floor, wrap-around tree bar deck, an outdoor fireplace and can serve BBQ, Low Country Boils, oyster roasts & more.
History
Established in 1954.
The Red Barn was built during the early 1950’s by Bennie & Louise Gentile to be a restaurant. It is the oldest, privately owned restaurant on St. Simons Island. The wood used to build the main Barn was cut & milled on the Island. The large posts out front came from the original causeways over to SSI and the chairs were recovered from the historic Oglethorpe Hotel that burnt down. Some of the old bricks out front and in the giant fireplace were brought in from old warehouses in middle Georgia. The original family is still involved in the business and many of the servers have been there for over 20 years.
