History
Established in 1980.
Hal and Dawn Hart started Island Ace Hardware in 1980. They built Ace Garden Center at 2807 Demere road in 1986. Hal brother, Stephen, joined them after retiring from his hardware store. Hal and Stephen’s great Granfather was Atlanta’s George B King of King Hardware Company fame. The Hart’s are joined by their sons Henry and Chris and Stephen’s daughter Erica making the kids the Fifth Generation of the family to be in the hardware business.
