I highly recommend you to try Beauty at your Door. I asked Donna as a favor to help me put my false eyelashes on before going out for a Halloween party and she ended up doing my hair and full on makeup! I was SO happy and we had such a blast together! I got so many compliments at the party so I felt very grateful! If you ever need to get your hair or make up done, DONNA is the one to contact!

She did my makeup for an event and it looked amazing! The airbrush foundation looked amazing, and her eyeshadow skills were unbelievable, my eyes were popping out of my face! She was so friendly and helpful! I never loved my makeup so much as I did that day! Will absolutely use her again!

I just had my wedding trial make up done with Donna and it came out great! Donna asked me a lot of questions about how I wanted to look and offered helpful suggestions on how to match my ideas to my particular skin and features. She gave me lashes as well and really took the time to put them on perfectly and make sure they were comfortable. Donna is such a sweet and caring person and really works at making all her clients happy. I can’t wait for her to do my wedding make up!

My make up lasted ALLL NIGHT and literally morning until 6 am and that never happens! My face also looked natural and not Cakey and fake like most artist. Definitely using her services Again!

Was part of a bridal party– they came way too late did not allow for enough time to get everyone done in time. We were rushed and stressed out the worst combo On a wedding day. Hair was on point girl was great! Makeup we all looked very beautiful but very unprofessional and way too chatty. We were told free lashes if we wanted then ended up being charged. Didn’t want to gossip and talk so much just wanted to get the job done and it was just way too much side bar convos and overall not professional. Prices are great and we looked gorgeous but it was just not well professionally handled

These girls came out to do hair for my friend’s wedding this past weekend and they were absolutely wonderful! They were a few minutes late but finished doing all five bridesmaids with plenty of time, the down hair styles they did for us were gorgeous and stayed in place all day /​night.
They were friendly, professional, super efficient, one of them even helped us clean up after our brunch.
I’ve been in six or seven previous weddings and I liked my hair in this wedding the best of any of them. Really nice flowy curls. I would strongly recommend hiring them, your bridesmaids won’t be disappointed!

It took me a long time to find the perfect make –up and hair stylist for my upcoming wedding. After 2 trials with other people I was so frustrated, I was considering doing my own make up. When I did my trial with Donna and Rachel I was extremely
pleased. I am a teacher and I don’t wear a lot of makeup on a regular basis. They both did exactly what I wanted and now I’m really excited for my wedding day!

I was in desperate need of a make up and hair person for my wedding. The other artist I had lined up cancelled 1 week before! Donna and her team were so accommodating. It was a plus that they came to me instead of going to the salon, it was much easier. They made me look and feel beautiful. My bridal party loved there make up too! I would definitely recommend Beauty at your Door to family and friends :)

I usually don’t write reviews on Unilocal,but I was very disappointed with my experience with this business. Donna was hired to do the hair and makeup for my cousins wedding, and I had an appointment to get a blow out at 11:00. I was at the hotel room ready and waiting with a head of wet hair at 11:00, and Donna didn’t show up until about 12:30 and the hair stylist didn’t show up until close to 1:00. Needless to say, the afternoon was very rushed and stressful, the photographers weren’t able to take pictures as planned before the wedding because no one was ready, and the wedding was late because the bridal party wasn’t ready to go on time. Again, I want to point out that everyone was ready and waiting, and we had to wait for the stylists to show up. As if that wasn’t enough, the hair stylist spent about 7 minutes on my head, and Donna wanted to charge me $ 50. I talked her down to $ 40, but even then I wasn’t happy, I just didn’t want to make a scene at my cousins wedding. I will say that Donna did upgrade everyone’s makeup to the airbrush makeup at no cost, but that is the only discount she gave us. In the wedding business, if you make the bride late to her own wedding, I firmly believe that there should be a significant discount.

Donna is neither talented, nor professional. Stay away! I paid to have a trial hair and make up application for my wedding. I had a bad feeling about her from the beginning, when scheduling the trial became way more difficult than it ever should. Her responses to my emails were vague and sporadic and I often had to remind her who I was. The day of the trial finally came, she gave me a downtown address that I presumed to be a salon, however when I showed up, it turned out to be her studio apartment. I went upstairs with her and she began the makeup application. I was literally right next to her bed, it was so weird. Then she began talking. and talking. and talking. I tried to converse with her but she only talked about herself and continuously interrupted me. She hardly asked me any questions about my day and what I wanted. She offered me some champagne and I gladly accepted, as my nerves were shot at this point. She proceeded to have at least 3 glasses.
The lighting in her apt was very poor so I could hardly see what she was doing in her mirror. I asked if I could go to her bathroom for better light and it was filthy. She didn’t even have hand soap. The makeup looked so-​so but I knew I was not going to hire this woman. The drunker she got, the more she swore. She was supposed to come to my house and also do my mother in law and grandma’s makeup! Oh and it gets worse! She actually invited her new boyfriend up to ‘hang out’ with us during this whole thing. Then she kept asking me over and over if I thought it was weird that she was dating a 23 year old (she is in her 40s). I could car less about the age difference, but please don’t have company over and socialize on my dime!
She had a sweet assistant who seemed to be a new hire with her to do my hair. She was actually really good and very nice. I hope she finds a new outfit to work with soon because Donna is a train wreck.
In the end, I went to my car and when I saw my face in natural daylight, I shocked at how bad the makeup was. There was absolutely nothing special about it. I could have done a better job myself. Thankfully I found a wonderful woman who did both my hair and makeup and I had a wonderful wedding.
