My co-​workers and I have ordered multiple times from this place. We usually do the delivery service. It is quick. I even order before going home and bring it home to my husband! Food stays pretty warm! We have our favorites so my feedback is limited here (sorry, but we like what we like). :-)

I’m in love with this place! The food always tastes great. Bright, fresh flavors – unburdened by overly sweet, thick sauces like other Asian restaurants. I really appreciate that. I’ve tried both the sushi and the entrées and both are astounding. The sushi is definitely fresh and super tasty. The vegetable pad Thai was ridiculously yummy. The only thing I didn’t absolutely love were the steamed vegetable dumplings. Flavors seemed wrong. Maybe too strong. Something was out of place for me.
The waitress who served us when we went was the sweetest person in the world! The staff are just so professional and nice as can be. I love the atmosphere – very relaxed yet classy and definitely not too pompous.
The location is a little… sketchy. But don’t let it fool you. Everything about the experience is perfect. Give it a try!

Offering Thai, Chinese andJapanes cuisine, Blue Ginger is a decent local spot for Asian food. We’ve only taken out, or had it delivered so I can’t comment on service if you plan on dining in. The sushi always seems fresh and the Thai food doesn’t disappoint. Nothing special but it is consistently a good choice in Stamford. There aren’t a lot of choices for good Chinese in and around Stamford, but this is a solid option

Very fast delivery and a nice delivery guy! Yummy Pad Thai! HUGE portion — seriously, it lasts me at least three meals.
Ordered the avocado roll tonight… A little weak, but fresh avocado and that’s always a plus. Chicken satay was fine, but my Indonesian raised Oma makes the best so I’m a bit biased on that dish. Overall, I will order from here again.

Been here only once, picked up lunch — loved it. Reasonable prices and portions. Had veggie lo mein. Actual veggies, not too oily, they offer steamed brown rice and had everything ready when I arrived.
Would definitely go back again :-)

Great food that delivers very quickly. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for higher-​quality food. Orange chicken is excellent.

I ordered delivery from here because I was staying in Stamford for a convention and wanted some green curry and bubble tea. This was the only place that offered bubble tea in their delivery menu.
The food took about 40 minutes to arrive, so pretty standard time. The curry was good, not notable, but good. Same goes for the bubble tea.
Good for fulfilling a craving, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to order from them.

The best Chinese restaurant in Stamford, CT. You could not miss it anymore! The yel sushi is the best one I ever take. Also the beef rool!

I am not certain how Blue Ginger secured 4 stars from this city. Maybe it was just delivery, but our order (chicken katsu x 2, avocado roll, sweet potato tempura roll, That iced tea x 2) was bland, soggy and just a temp above cool.
After this unfortunate dinner, I have decided I too am «Blue» over money spent on a subpar meal. Sorry, BG. Need you to step it up.

Blue Ginger is a perfectly average pan-​Asian restaurant (Chinese, Thai, Japanese) in Stamford. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat at Blue Ginger, but it’s not a bad option if you are craving Asian food.
I have tried the Chicken with Eggplant and Salmon Lover’s Roll. The portions here are rather large, so I think these two entrees would be enough to feed three women. The Chicken with Eggplant had strips of chicken breast with braised eggplant and some bell peppers in slightly spicy sauce. The dish was extremely oily, so I probably wouldn’t get it ever again. The eggplants tasted super bland, while the chicken was seasoned nicely. The dish comes with white rice or brown rice for additional charge.
The Salmon Lover’s Roll includes 8 pieces of spicy salmon roll with tempura flakes and avocado, and topped with fresh salmon, smoked salmon, and salmon roe. No where in the description does it say that it comes drenched on top of spicy mayo sauce… I basically had to scrape off the entire bottom layer of the sushi rolls. I was not a huge fan of the combination of fresh + smoked salmon, but the salmon roe was a nice salty addition.

Placed order online, got an email confirmation along with a timeframe to receive my order. Everything looked fine. Called after an hour and they told me that their website was under construction. So I asked, is your URL
They said yes. So I said, I’m on your site and it says order online in the upper right, which I did and everything was fine. No comment, just «I can take your order now.» No apologies, no «OMG, I can’t believe this. I will have the tech guys look into it.» Just, give me your order now and we’ll get it to you.
Food may be great — just make sure to call in deliveries, DO NOT order online.

My first time at this place. Absolutely loved it. Had the spicy dumplings in peanut sauce omg so good. I followed it up with the Singapore noodles, the best… And I’m a big fan of Singapore noodles. I went at 4pm after seeing a movie at landmark sq. A quick ride on the 43 and you’re there. Definitely one of my new Stamford stops.

We had tried their sushi — and you are better off to stay away from it — the fish doesn’t seem that fresh (maybe it was due to it being a Monday evening?).
Will be back to try the other cooked foods on the menu!

Unassuming restaurant in a strip mall. It all changes once you go inside. The décor was nice. My favorite was the pebble/​stone wall by the sushi chef.
My friends and I ordered a bunch of stuff so we could try as much as possible — snow mountain roll, black dragon roll, Singapore noodles, whole fish cooked sweet and sour style, crispy beef, sautéed bok choy and General Tso shrimp. There was enough food to fill us all up with some left overs to take home. Everything was delicious. The server was nice and helpful. Couldn’t say one bad thing about the place. Definitely going back!

Though it appears on the outside to be just another place in a strip mall, Blue Ginger opens up into a tasteful, clean dining room. The prices are very reasonable, especially at lunch time. The service is quick and capable, and the food is definitely better than most mainstream Chinese places. I should stop saying Chinese, It’s actually more like pan-​Asian, with sushi and some Thai dishes, each one executed well with fresh ingredients. The hot and sour soup is very good, lots of mushrooms and flavor and a huge portion for only $ 2. The dumplings are delicious. Having recently moved here, I’ve been searching for my new go-​to spot for stir fried goodness, and this is it!

I’ve eaten at Blue Ginger probably half a dozen times or more at this point if you include delivery. Good Chinese food is a very rare find in Stamford and Blue Ginger does fulfill that void whenever I’m traveling to CT for work. My colleague knows the owners and they’re super friendly.
The restaurant is located inside a strip mall with plenty of free parking which is a big plus. You know how crowded it’s getting in Stamford… Another plus is it being super close to the office and data center so I know I can eat something decent before spending my entire night working late.
The menu is huge. They have Thai, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine. The selection is pretty large and their food is fresh. I have a few favorites — seafood soup, Taiwanese Beef Stew Noodle Soup (udon), and half roast duck over rice. The only issue with the soup is that the order is for a single serving and they don’t have a family size. Other than that, this is close enough without me having to drive into Manhattan’s Chinatown in rush hour traffic so I can get some decent, inexpensive food. Another plus is they are probably only one of the few restaurants left that give fortune cookies.
One tip when ordering for delivery. Be sure to ask for utensils… They never bring any.
