Great place to grab a drink and some food. The salads are really good, especially the arugula and goat cheese. Great wings, great truffle fries, great everything. Really like the atmosphere in the summer when the walls open up. What’s my next move? Hudson’s!

Was here for dinner with a work colleague. Service was very good, if a little slow. We ordered edamame and the duck wonton for appetizers. They were ok. Colleague had red wine, I had the basil daiquiri. Her wine was good she said daiquiri was straight lime juice, sugar at the bottom of the glass and maybe a splash of some undiscernable liquor. College had the ribeye which looked and smelled amazing, and she said tasted good as well. Huge portion. I had gone with the seafood risotto which was just ok. Shrimp and lobster were way overcooked and rubbery, but scallops were done to perfection. Dessert… my colleagues almond ice cream cake was great she said, my crème Brule was ok, but was supposed to come with berry compote and came with sorbet. I give the waiter credit. I was almost about to order the Tiramisu and he told me they don’t make it, so order the crème Brule. All in all, was ok, but there are better options for the price.

worst bar ive ever been to my life. $ 15 watered down drinks. Shittiest music ever, unless you want to listen to 80s music. Bouncers are literally borderline retards who prob failed at being professional NBA players, then failed at being police officers, and then failed at being mall cops and then resorted to being pathetic asshole bouncers at a shitty bar in stamford, ct.

This review is about to make me so nostalgic, lol. I have never experienced CT’s nightlife, so I didn’t know what to expect. Upon arriving to Hudson Grille, I noticed the environment was very upbeat which was already an indicator of a good night. And it was. The vibes were nothing BUT great. And so was the music, the friendly crowd, and the super cold beers. Can’t go wrong with that. The only con about this place is that it closes at 2:00AM, the latest. If you ask a New Yorker like me, 2:00AM is the new 10:00PM, lol. If I visit the Stamford, CT area again, I will most DEFINITELY come here again!

I don’t want to put any business down but when I check in I feel like to give Five star review after the food came I just feel like not even eligible for One star, for the appetizer we tried fried calamari and French Onion soup, soup was amazing but calamari frozen straight from freezer to fryer, no taste and no seasoning, then for the main meal we tried Mediterranean spice rub chicken and Hudson Grill special burger, Chicken was very thin and feel like eating a dry leaf. I was not understanding one thing, who recutting the the chefs not even know to grill a Chicken Brest properly. I don’t think anyone needs a high end culinary experience to seasoning a Food. One thing I have to tell service was really Good. y

Decent bar. Super packed on weekend nights — could barely move or get a drink. Fun place to go out in Stamford. Only went there for drinks– definitely a cool scene.

I was at the Hudson Grille yesterday for a business lunch. The location is great just off of 95 and the Train Station too. The atmosphere is nice upscale American grill type. We got there early before they open but the bartender offered us water and welcomed us, which was very nice. Once our lunch guest arrived we were quickly seated. The service to start was a bit slow but they made up for that as service once we were served was good. I had a grilled chicken salad that was good and not over dressed too. The others in my group had a paste dish that was great and the third member of the party had a sandwich which he described as great. I would go back.

My husband and I used to live in White Plains, and we were regulars at the location there. I now live in SF, but come to Stamford for business on occasion — so I decided to stop in for memories sake. Something was off. The food is just«meh» but they charge RIDICULOUS prices. Maybe I’m just spoiled by all the fantastic foodie food you can find all over SF(for WAY cheap prices!). But this place is just… well…it’s not worth stopping back in. Even if their food was priced half as much, I wouldn’t make my way back. The food is just not worth going back for at all — yuck, yuck, yuck!

I was there for lunch recently and was very disappointed. I ordered the shrimp chopped salad which should be called chopped shrimp salad. The salad had some chopped shrimps on top, which really gave me the feeling I’m getting some leftovers(honestly I don’t understand why anyone chops the shrimps). The cilantro and cashews were missing in my salad and I could barely taste the sesame ginger dressing. My husband ordered the chicken paillard which was just ok, not super good, not super bad. We waited more than 30 minutes to get our food so all in all not more than 2 stars!

Decent food, but totally inattentive and slow to non-existent service. Still sitting at the table as I write… hopefully our current 10-minute wait for the check won’t double… or triple… After we placed our order, we never saw our waiter again, other than when he was serving other tables. At no time did anyone ever ask us how our food was or check to see that we needed anything. I had to flag someone down to get a refill. Other than that… nothing. Truly pathetic service. Don’t know if it was just our waiter or not, but not sure we’ll give this another shot…

Very upsetting. While I do love their brunch their service has been absolutely horrible l. It’s unlimited mimosas yet it takes an hour to get a refill. I work in the restaurant industry but come on now. It’s not like 20 tables are sitting at once and the server is overwhelmed. It’s very disappointing how much Hudson fell off.

Nice location, nice atmosphere, but that’s where it ends. One waiter at 7:30pm for a huge restaurant meant very slow service. After waiting 10 minutes for menus, we ordered the guacamole appetizer, which took about 15 – 20 minutes to get. One scoop of unseasoned guacamole(actually I wouldn’t even consider it guacamole, just smashed avocado) on a plate with 8 stale tortilla chips is what we received. After tasting the appetizer, we decided to ask for the check and try a different restaurant for dinner. Took at least another 15 minutes for the check. doesn’t look like we will be back here. $ 13 and 50 minutes for a soda and chips and guac… no thanks.

Had the clam chowder– very good. I like it buttery and it did not disappoint. Had the arugula salad with the peaches– again excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. A bit noisy, but we were there during Happy Hour — not raucous, just fun. I was good with the whole thing.

Nice spot, cool vibe but… The food is too expensive to be this mediocre. I had the gemelli which was ok. Not bad but was pricey for the quality. The interior is very cool. Staff was friendly.

I like this place. Great ambience, good spot for a casual date, happy hour gathering, a group outing, etc. Very nice bar, roomy, multiple spots to just hang, and sidewalk seating. Right in the heart of Stamford. Varied menu offers lots of choices; I was here last October so hope it hasn’t changed. I had lobster dumplings and a smoked salmon scramble for brunch. The dumplings were great and the scramble very good as well. I always get that when I see it on the menu hoping to find the place that does it perfect; close to it here.

This was my first time in Stamford, CT and we ended up here for dinner. Though the food is very predictable for an upscale«grille,» I was a bit disappointed so I’m rating this place average at best. Straight to the point, the burgers/sandwiches we ordered were good, but not memorable. Backstory: My old college roommate ended moving here for his job so we all took a day trip here from NYC to visit. This restaurant is situated a very calm and serene part of town, with other restaurants, bars and local necessities(McDonalds, movie theater, etc) and easily accessible by waking from the nearby neighborhoods. Walking in the place, it definitely gives off a dark luxurious wine bar vibe but we snagged a table close to outside to enjoy the nice weather. While some enjoyed the Sliced Steak Sandwich, others and I thought it definitely needed more steak and flavor to it. Most of the flavor comes from the caramelized onions, but that’s about it. $ 17 and the side of fries wasn’t anything special at all. Had a taste of my friends Sausage and broccoli rabe pizza… lets just say leave the pizza for NYC to handle. Maybe the other main menu items are better, but if you can’t do the simple stuff right then what’s that say about the other stuff? Service overall was quick(6:30pm Saturday dinner). There’s a decent beer selection on tap. Oh and you oddly get complimentary edamame for each table. But in the end is the bill you’re paying worth it? I’d prefer to try another place to eat next time I’m in town.

Decent place and menu. I was impressed with their New England style clam chowder, which is saying something as I grew up on the real thing up in Boston and NH. Brunch is pretty good especially with the bottomless Bloodies and Mimosas for $ 10. Say hi to Michael, the bartender. Good guy.

I had some time to kill before seeing a movie last night, and stumbled across Hudson Grille. There are a ton of other places on the street, but it was just what I was looking for last night. I was happy to discover that I was there during happy hour(4 – 7). $ 5 glasses of wine and reasonably priced appetizers. I ordered the filet kebab(asked them to leave off the teriyaki) and it was delicious! I asked for medium rare. I literally can’t remember the last time that I requested medium rare on a piece of steak and got what I wanted. It was like BUTTAH! I sat at the bar since it was just me, and the gentlemen to either side of me revealed themselves to each be regulars. Regulars are usually a good sign. The bartenders were upbeat, quick, and provided great service to everyone at the bar. I would definitely return!

Excellent! Came here on Sunday for brunch to meet with a friend that I haven’t seen in a long time, and we were so happy to find such a lovely place to catch up! We actually stopped in because we saw the sign for unlimited mimosas or bloody mary’s($ 18), but, ended up not even trying any. We had some of their awesome coffee instead! One wall is lined with booths and tall tables. I got an absolutely delicious Irish Salmon lunch, followed by some of the best crème brûlée I ever had! We are already planning our next reunion brunch here :)
