Established in 2012.

After graduating Cornell, Jonathan spent the next 5 years working for two Connecti cut-​based developers, RMS Companies and Spinnaker Real Estate Partners. He was able to participate, construct, manage, lease, market or sell over 600 million dollars of real estate before forming J. Forrest Development in 2012. In 2015 J. Forrest Development, LLC moved out of Jonathan’s 2^nd bedroom in his condo and into the current location at 1200 High Ridge Rd. Fl.2^nd in Stamford, CT. Jonathan still resides in Stamford and is President of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).

Business Owner

Jonathan Forrest Cohen, the founder and managing member of J. Forrest Development, LLC entered the construction in dustry as summer laborer for a Stamford-​based site-​contractor. After this experience, Jonathan put on his thinking cap at the Tufts University School of Engineering and in 2005 he graduated (cum laude) and successfully passed the national fundamentals of engineering «FE» exam. When the thinking-​cap was off during summer recess Jonathan continued his hands-​on experience in construction earning an internship with Stamford’s City Engineering Department as a field inspector. After college Jonathan earned a position with Turner Construction’s Boston unit as a Field-​Superintendent. Jonathan was able to learn «best in class» construction practices as he oversaw over 150 million dollars of ground-​up and redevelopment construction.
