I really, really dislike giving bad reviews to independent stores, but I have to say stay away from this place. I went there recently to get my watch bands replaced, one broke off the following week, the other two have recently cracked as well. When I went the following week, the owner would not replace it for free, but broke off another strap off an open strap, giving the watch a mismatched look. I also had a watch battery I needed to have replaced, but she wouldn’t do it because she didn’t have the right tools. My husband subsequently went back to have his watch battery replaced, asked the price about a pair of earrings and realized that the owner gave him a higher quote than the earrings were actually marked. Unfortunately, I was disappointed and I really wanted to root for them.

Got the battery in my watch replaced. They did it on the spot in 5 minutes and were very careful with the process. Walked me through scenarios of how the battery can die quickly and were very professional and polite. Was cheap as well, less than $ 10

I had a good experience. Had to get my wedding band resized — he tried to do it manually but couldn’t, so sent it in. Said it would be back in a week and it was. Came back perfectly sized, sparkling like new, and he re-​engraved what was lost, Very good local business.

Not a pleasant shopping experience. If you are in the market for a real piece of jewelry, run! Merchandise is extremely limited, I think the catch is they try to sell a «custum» made to order piece. They will show you a mold that consists of something that looks like zip ties. If you aren’t satisfied upon creation when it is done, you are SOL. There are no refunds or exchanges. You will have to start over and buy another new ring from them $$$$. Any reputable store will make changes until the customer is happy and satisfied. The only fee that you may incur is if there is a price differential of more expensive band, stones etc. service is run by an older couple who are just plain rude. I would stick to buying figurines and timex watches that are in the store — they can’t screw that up!

My husband and I visited this jeweler today after a friend recommended them, and we had a wonderful experience. This is a small family business, and every member of the family was very kind to us.

Annie & Marco are two of the most trusted jewelers in Stamford my family has been buying from them for over 25 years. From significantly large purchases to little gifts they have always been wonderful, honest, well priced and flexible. You should stop in and meet them before buying anywhere else.

Outdated, smells like a funeral home, dingy store. Service is quite rude and not professional. This is no place to be making any large investments with fine jewelry, but, a place to buy new watch batteries etc. There are plenty of reputable places to go in Stamford, Nagi being one of them. This is a shop owned by scheisters. I would never give them any business ever again and plan on sharing with all of Stamford, how horrible of a business they run.

My fiancé purchased my stone and setting from separate vendors and came to Marco to set and appraise the completed product, for which he paid a large some of money. While he could have set the stone where he purchased it, he wanted to develop a relationship with a local jeweler, someone we could go to for maintenance, and ultimately buy our wedding bands from.
We got engaged a few months ago so I figured it was time to go in, have the ring cleaned, and the center stone checked. In addition, I also mentioned I wanted to start looking at wedding bands to see what types they had and what might look nice with my ring. First impressions… the store was dingy, outdated, and had a bit of an old smell. But I wasn’t going to let that stop me!
I walked in, excited to meet them, see my ring sparkle and start looking at bands. However, to my surprise they didn’t seem all that eager to help me. The guy skeptically asked the name of my fiancé, and ultimately refused to clean the ring because «the setting wasn’t purchased there, and he cannot be held accountable» if something were to happen to it. How many people get their rings cleaned per day, and how often does something happen to it?
He went on to explain that due to the vibration and air in the machine, one of the pave stones could be knocked loose, and I would then have to pay them to reset it!!! To some extent it seemed reasonable, so I asked if he had another way to clean this type of setting, I am certain this isn’t the first micro-​pave setting he has ever seen.
His response??? «YOU can take it home, get an old toothbrush and clean it YOURSELF with some warm soapy water.» I was shocked! By far the worst customer service I have ever seen, and I most certainly will be taking my business for a wedding band elsewhere.

I’ve recently moved to Connecticut from California and Unilocal has been a great help in finding local businesses. I have a watch with a Swarovski bezel and two stones had fallen out, not knowing a jeweler in town I went to Unilocal and found Marco Jewelers. They were so nice and very friendly, I told them I had just relocated to CT and hoped they could repair my watch because I needed it for that evening. After close inspection they told me to give them an hour. I returned and my watch was repaired and looked as good as new. When I asked how much, they kindly said it was on the house and «Welcome to Connecticut.»
