Both myself and my sister have being going to Fran at Sweeney Todds in Stamford for over 15 years. Fran does a fantastic job on both color and cut. She is a highly qualified certified colorist. I would highly recommend Fran to anyone looking for her knowledge in terms of what suits and will work with your hair type.

My father has gone to them for years, he always goes on a Monday and gets their discounted trim (I think Wednesdays there is a deal on perms?). If you want something simple, they can definitely help you. I got a great haircut from Prenta, she is wonderful. I know a lot of people that have had negative experiences here though, so that’s worth keeping in mind.
They are open late, everyone has always been nice to me, and I’ve never gotten a bad cut from them.

Take the name of the salon as a warning! Had a haircut with Julia where she cut TWO & A HALF more inches off of my hair than I asked her to! She refused to listen to me about my hair preferences (took it as an insult when I had an opinion about MY OWN hair). For example, when I was explaining to her how I like to have my layers cut, she swatted my hand away and insulted my previous hairstylist. Definitely going somewhere else next time with someone with less of an ego and with more professionalism.

Sweeny Todd is great! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I high recommend anyone looking for a new hairdresser give them a try.
