I’ve been coming to FNP Auto since they first opened around 4 years ago. Francisco and his team of mechanics are the only ones I trust with my car right now. I’ve mostly been coming here for oil changes but I appreciate the multi point inspection they offer each time I’m there. They recently helped me notice a chip in my windshield I hadn’t seen before. Whenever Francisco the owner does offer an additional service he makes a point to explain why he’s recommending it in a clear and concise way. I appreciate that they accept clients by appointment only because it helps keep the flow of customers manageable and makes you feel like their service is focused just on you. Overall, Francisco runs a very professional business and I’m always satisfied with the level of service and courtesy offered at FNP Auto.

I’m from San Diego originally, and I’ve been going to Francisco for two years now, and he always takes care of me like family! It’s so comforting to know that I have a reliable and knowledgeable car guy so far from home and my own family. I recently changed out my brakes, drive belts, and replaced some filters and Francisco and his team got it all done in one day at such a reasonable price. FNP Auto is above and beyond the best auto shop I’ve ever come across, you can really trust them to be fair and highly competent.

Francisco is awesome! I took my car in for a few issues and was happy with the service provided. He communicated very clearly what was going on before and sat down with me afterwards to show me pictures of what was done. His estimate of how long it took was accurate and had snacks and coffee in the waiting room. He followed up with an email report with pictures from the oil change. I will definitely recommend his shop to friends.

Francisco and Pearl have this crazy business plan where they actually provide super friendly customer service down to every little detail. When I came for my first time Francisco took the time to go through pictures of different parts of my car and explain what I needed done now and what I could put off till later. This place is a game changer. Super grateful I’ve finally found a shop I can be a lifetime customer at.

Francisco communicated with me the whole way through. I was blown away by his closing procedure. Francisco takes photos of the entire inspection and recommends work that will be needed soon. Fantastic service every time! I’ve been here 3 times since October to service both my husband’s and my car. Francisco goes over everything in detail and is quick to answer any car related questions you may have. He also picked me and my kids up after my car was in his shop longer than we had anticipated. Far better service than anything I’ve ever seen. His attention to detail is also very reassuring. We will definitely be coming here as long as possible.

FNP Auto is my favorite place to get my auto work done. Francisco is very knowledgeable and provides excellent customer service. He goes over all repairs in detail and explains why different work needs to be done. I have been going here for over a year and have been happy with all of their work.

I went to FNP Auto the first time because I was looking for someone in my area that could do a synthetic blend oil change for about $ 20.00. After looking at the Unilocal reviews, I thought I’d give the place a shot. I can say that after that first time last year I have and will continue to return to FNP Auto.
Francisco is very knowledge and friendly. He takes the time to explain what’s wrong with your car and answer any questions you have. Also, his initial inspection is thorough and he provides you a report via email with photos of suggested maintenance – very handy for repairs you might want to do down the road.
Recently, I did some major service with him for the first time and it went great. He gave me a quote and pre-​diagnosis over the phone (mine was specific issue FYI) with no hassle. The final price came out to be real competitive if not lower than places like Pep Boys too. I’m happy with that.
Overall, I highly recommend FNP Auto. Although there are downsides to service by appointment only, the upside is that you get a 1 to 1 experience and spend less time just waiting to get service (e.g. compared to Pep Boys).

After a disappointed visit to McKenna BMW, where they wanted to charge me almost $ 200 for a nonrefundable diagnostic test (this is all to replace my daylight/​park lamp bulb) I decided to Unilocal some local auto repair shop.
I called one place and the guy promised to call me back with a price quote but he never did. I should have known since he didn’t bother to take my number and just referenced his caller ID.
I’m glad I decided to Unilocal on… because that is when I found FNP Auto. Francisco was informative from the beginning and gave me two separate quotes (parts and labor) and was able to see me the same day! When I got there he came out to greet me by my name, offered me something to drink and free WiFi access while I waited. They took my car in right away. He estimated about an hour wait and kept his promise; occasionally checking in on me to see if I was okay. When the repair was done he gave me a Unilocaler discount and went over the service. Besides the replacement of my of my light bulb, they raised my car and took pictures of my front and rear brake pads, checked my tire pressure and the quality of my tires. He was very thorough in explaining how much life my brake pads had left and upcoming services I should expect.
Probably the best car service I’ve ever received! I will be recommending them to my family and friends. Thanks Francisco!!!

Can you honestly remember the last time your mechanic greeted you by name with a genuine smile and handshake? I can, because I bring my cars to FNP Auto.
Francisco and Pearl Sandocal (F and P, hence the name) are the owners of what I consider to be the best auto repair shop in Orange County, if not Southern California altogether. I’ve never been to a shop that did its very best to ensure that YOU are taken care of just as well as your vehicle.
If I had one word to sum up my reasons for my repeat business, it would be honesty. Francisco is so transparent with his services that you feel like you’re standing in the service bay next to him. He takes detailed pictures and actually shows you what needs to be fixed. He’ll remove worn parts and give you a side-​by-​side comparison next to a new part so you can see how badly your old parts needed replacement. Most importantly, he keeps you in the loop of his progress, so you always have a good idea of when the job will be done.
The first time I came to FNP, I was so amazed at the level of service that I thought the next visit couldn’t possibly live up to my expectation, but sure enough, Francisco went above and beyond. I left my daughter’s shoe in the waiting room after getting my oil changed, and Francisco found it, looked up my information in his records, and emailed me to notify me of the missing shoe. He easily could have just thrown it in the trash or a lost and found box, but that he took the time to contact me shows how FNP goes the extra mile to take care of its customers.
Ok, ok, I think you get the point now. Take your car to FNP, and you’ll never use another shop for basic maintenance again. FNP Auto deserves every one of their five-​star ratings. Plus a bonus star for always having Red Vines in the waiting area!

This is my 2^nd time taking my car to FNP Auto and I couldn’t be happier. Both times, Francisco was very knowledgeable and helpful and really took his time explaining things for my understanding. I loved the flexibility of this shop, they were able to accommodate my schedule both times and still had the car ready very quickly! Francisco is great about communicating via email and provides updates with pictures, quotes and detailed explanations about the repair process. What impressed me the most was Francisco’s willingness to take our budget into consideration and provide alternatives to accommodate that budget.
My car is running great and I feel a million times better knowing that a free re-​inspection and warranty are included with my repairs. My search for a trusted auto shop is finally over!

If you are looking for a solid honest mechanic, your search is over, Francisco at FNP is your guy.
To provide some background, I had previously been taking my vehicles to another mechanic who was pretty good. However that mechanic only worked on Japanese vehicles and I needed someone who was able to work on my truck. The service I got with Francisco was so impressive that I started bringing my other vehicles here as well.
These are some of the highlights of Francisco’s service that stand out to me (in particular as I drive a few older vehicles.) When having a vehicle inspected, Francisco will frequently provide emails with images of the issue as well as anything else that may be important. Additionally, while most shops will try to up-​sell additional parts that may not be required yet, Francisco will typically provide a list of additional work that may be needed at some point, and will provide honest feedback as to the probable lifespan of the existing component. When replacement parts are needed, Francisco goes out of his way to research different part options i.e. dealer, refurbished, off-​brand, and has also offered to install parts that I supplied.
Also something that is important to me is, since I do some work on my own car, I have in the past encountered condescending attitudes from other mechanics. I am well aware that I’m not a professional, and really appreciate the fact that Francisco is cool about things and doesn’t feel the need to put on airs.
All of this equates to a zero pressure environment where you can go, ask questions, and get your car working correctly again. When I first started coming here, Francisco was in the smaller unit next door and had time for «walk-​ins.» Now he’s in a larger unit and you will probably need to make an appointment for your car. To me this says a lot about the quality of his service and the way he treats people. Also, for what it’s worth, this is the first time after being on Unilocal for a few years that I’ve taken the time to review anything.

When my car finally broke down after 250,000 miles, FNP was there. In addition to a free inspection (diagnosis: not worth fixing), they helped arrange a car donation with Make-​a-​Wish. (I was planning on donating the car in December anyway.)

This review is long overdue!
My first trip here was for a simple oil change. The process was fast, simple and affordable. We were able to use a Unilocal deal to get $ 10.00 off. However, what impressed me most was the detail and attention that was provided in the visit. Francisco and his team took pictures of my car to show me any potential problem areas. And no, there was no pushy salesman pitch to get more money. It was a straight forward conversation.
Because my first experience was so great, I brought my car back a couple of months later for a leak. Turns out I needed a water pump replacement –not cheap. However, I got a fair price and appreciated the limited warranty that came with it. I even received a discount for paying cash! Francisco was so detailed that he had me come back in a week after the service was complete just so that he could make sure it was holding up. A couple of weeks after that he followed up again with by email. So thorough. Amazing! Needless to say, I am confident in his work and appreciate his work ethic. It’s refreshing. I’ve finally found a mechanic I can trust. The FNP team has earned another regular customer.

I rarely write reviews unless I have the need to tell people whether the business is highly recommended or something bad to look out for before visiting, whether it deals with products or service that are out of the ordinary.
I highly recommend this place because Francisco, the one who runs the shop, is highly knowledgeable of what he is doing. He also goes into full detail pointing out and explaining what is wrong with the vehicle. He also exceeded my expectations with his customer service skills. He is a good guy.

Whenever I need an oil change, I’m always searching around for the current best deal and service. Well I can confidently say my search has ended forever. After I booked their last appt for the day, and got lost, and was phoned twice but my phone was being stupid, I finally found the storefront and was greeted at the doorway with a friendly smile. I seriously was afraid they’d turn me down and have me reschedule but they thought it’d be fine so I quickly filled out a clipboard and was offered cold water and jello snacks. They took my keys and drove my car around the back garage area. Sitting in the waiting room, there is WIFI, A/​C, a basket of phone chargers, magazines, jello snacks, coffee and water station, and a PSA video about car maintenance.
I could tell they are super friendly here because I must’ve been offered water three times– or maybe it was just super hot that day. Any way, time passes by and Francisco calls me back to show me a few things he’s found, including a nail in a tire! This never happens at any other auto shop I’ve been to! It was so cool! It kind of felt like I was on a field trip and I learned so much! To say the least, I was impressed by his honesty, patience, and thoroughness. And by this time they hadn’t even changed the oil yet! So I make some decisions about what they can do to my car and go back to the waiting room. More time passes by and I learn a grip from just watching the video as well and then finally my car is ready. Francisco calls me into the office and goes over EVERYTHING he did, including photos of the before and after, pH tests, engine oil tests, battery test results, leaky things, a fix it plan timeline, information on a factory recall, advised me on tire purchases, so much stuff! My mind was blown away.
Again, I can’t stress the great service I’ve experienced here enough. And I even got a check in deal for $ 5 off! They definitely deserve the 5 stars and I will be highly recommending this place to friends and family for all their auto care needs.

Took my girlfriend’s 07 Dodge Caliber for a brake inspection, oil change, and tire rotation.
Francisco and his workers did their best to complete the whole process in one day including ordering the parts and labor. My overall experience here was great. Even my mom loves taking her car here for repairs because Francisco is a trusted mechanic.

I just want to start off by saying that Francisco and Pearl are so so so so nice and friendly! I love their customer service so much! They go out of their way to make sure you are happy and satisfied!
On top of having great customer service, Francisco delivers great servicing for your car! His prices are unbeatable and he thoroughly explains everything you need to know and anything you may have questions about! This will now be my go-​to mechanic for any repairs or problems.

Unilocal did not let me down today! I went on a hunt to find a mechanic to fix my car and stumbled onto Unilocal.FNP automotive was highly praised for going above and beyond for their customers. Francisco the service manager greeted me with a smile when I came in. He ran a free diagnostic and got to the bottom of what was wrong with my car. The shop was able to fix the problem the same day. Not only did they fix the problem but they gave me a free battery, starter, break fluid and transmission fluid check. I am extremely pleased with the quality of work and the customer service FNP auto provides. I will come back in the future for all my car needs.

Francisco is the most friendly and genuine auto mechanic I’ve ever met. Came in for the first time to get an oil change for my girlfriend’s car and came out with a free broken brake light fixed, a full inspection with comprehensive explanations AND pictures, in under an hour and about $ 30. No appointment set either (although highly recommended out of courtesy)! He greeted me instantly and got me out the door knowing exactly what my car needed to have serviced without any pressure. He sent me a copy of the list and promised to email me with quotes which he did!
Came back a week later to get a brake flush and to get my new car inspected. I had an appointment and Francisco was outside greeting me before I even stepped out my car! Brake flush was finished in about 1.5 hours, and It didn’t leave a large hole in my wallet (the Unilocal check-​in helped). Next up was my new-​ish Mazda 3 inspection, which he promised to completed in about 2 hours. Came back and he gave me the same amount of detail as the previous inspection, except the list was all positive! He answered all of my questions clearly and never made me feel pressured to get anything done. Only suggested what I should get done and listed everything by importance. I’m happy to say that I found my new go-​to mechanic and I will be recommending him to my friends! Thanks again, Francisco!
