Chris from Scott Harrison plumbing got our 25 year old water heater removed and replaced with a new one by 5:00 pm.
We had called at around 11:00 am, so this was true same day service. A lot of work was involved replacing not just the water heater but also the old pipes and valves. I’ve worked for 30 years as an inspector in the aerospace industry so I feel I’m a good judge of quality workmanship. The work done by Chris was all of the highest caliber. Additionally, he was very informative about our options and proper care of our new water heater. Chris was friendly and courteous as well.

I tend to write reviews for only EXCEPTIONAL service (if I don’t like a company or experience with one, I just leave it alone.) But here, regarding Scott Harrison Plumbing & Heating, I wanted to take a moment to express my complete satisfaction and appreciation for an ALL AROUND GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! I had a brand new HVAC system installed at a rental unit that required many aspects to be accomplished for the project to be compete. These included pouring new concrete to support a new condenser, a complete REBUILD of an existing utility closet to accommodate the new system (and I mean a full rebuild of supporting structures — the framing was a thing of beauty) and then the professional install. I have used Scott Harrison plumbing in the past for both large and small projects. But — I always take bids to make sure I am getting the best value for my $. Scott Harrison Plumbing has always won with their bids. They are VERY reasonable and FAIR. Scott himself always goes over all my options and spells it out up front whenever he has been my estimator. Scott is just the NICEST GUY and we always have a nice conversation about life — let alone A/​C work. Thanks to Scott, Shannon, Laura, Javier and Jaymes. You guys made this experience a GREAT one and for that I am grateful. Yours is a top notch plumbing (and heating!) company and I am so glad I found you!!! I HIGHLY recommend you all! I love the newly installed system — PERFECT!

Great service, good prices. Had to replace a Carlson fitting (big heavy metal thing under my double sinks), full of gunk. The guys (Victor and Manny) did a great job, very neat and clean, answered all my questions, explained everything they were doing and why it was being done.
Shannon was very helpful about getting me help very quickly. Thanks to all of you, it’s great to have a working sink again instead of a backed up garbage disposal!

I have a less-​than-​3 years old water heater unit (Rheem). I know what the problem is, I even got the parts for replacement from the manufacturer. Called and explain my situation to ask for a price quote for JUST INSTALLATION; answer was they can’t quote until they come out, and there’s a time available if I’d like to schedule it…
How about treating your customers like human beings instead of ignorant idiots that you can strongarm into paying for your service. Can’t even price quote, guess you just started yesterday and don’t know what a water heater looks like or how much work needs to be done on it unless you’re physically touching it. The nerve. Calling the next place now, and giving my business to whoever that can answer a question.

I have a Hydronic Forced Air Heating System in my home. I went through 5 onsite & more than 10 phone calls with plumbing & HVAC companies. Out of all of those, only 1 said he could fix the unit. I was given a very high quote and then he (The owner of the company) disappeared, he would not return my phone calls or e-​mail to schedule the service. I took this as a sign that this wasn’t the right company for the job. I found Scott Harrison by accident, he lives in an area I grew up in. I happened to be in the area and saw his truck in his driveway. I took down the number and gave his company a call. Professionalism right from the start, I spoke with Shannon H. who listened to my heating issue and gave me the reassurance that Scott Harrison who’s been in business 35 years, would definitely be able to fix my heater. A few days later, Scott came out to give me an estimate (His estimate was almost ½ of what the other company quoted me). He told me right away that he works on these types of heaters all the time, that their actually not inefficient like I had been told from other companies and that he could fix it with no problem.

Shannon kept in touch with me, given that it was going to be an all day job & that Scott himself would be assisting with the repair. On 12−29−15, Javier H. showed up with booties for his feet and several drop cloths to protect all of the flooring (I really appreciated this). He told me he has 26 years of experience (16 of those with Scott Harrison Plumbing). He began his diligent work using a blow torch to cut out & replace all the old rotted piping, replacing valves & installing a new water heater. Scott arrived a little later and began meticulously going through a large cluster of wires that had been crammed up in the ceiling. He was able to save me several hundred dollars off his quote by determining that the low voltage wire (That the other company told me was shorted out & would have to be replaced) was intact. This was great news as it meant no holes cut in the ceiling, no patching or painting. A few hours later, the heater was working like a champ, blowing hot air through all the vents.
In these days where it’s more, more, more, it’s comforting to hear Scott Harrison say «There’s no next customer until you’re completely satisfied!» I am & I recommend Scott Harrison Plumbing & Heating 100%. In fact, they are now the go-​to Plumbing & HVAC contact for my HOA & all my friends & family.

Had hot water spewing into our garage yesterday! After turning off the water main and doing the bucket brigade collecting the water, Victor showed up at my doorstep in less than 45 mins. THANK YOU for the quick response! (Ok, we HAVE been a customer for over 10 yrs. house built in 1969 has occasional issues.). Our water heater was previously installed by a handyman. Come to find out he never connected the exhaust vent! So, carbon monoxide has been venting to the garage and wall space. We could have been killed!
Thank you Victor, Scott, Debbie & Shannon for coming through again. We had a new water heater correctly installed by dinner time.

I was referred to Scott Harrison by another plumber who could not meet my need to get the work done on the same day. Shannon scheduled my service appointment and told me about when Chris would show up. Chris called me about an hour before my appointment time and told me when he would arrive. Chris showed up on time and was very considerate and professional. The AC drain line was clogged and he told me what the cost would be before he did the repair. He explain d how the work was progressing and completed the repair I less than an hour. I was impressed by the quality of his work.

My water pressure, specifically to the hot water in parts of the house had dwindled to next to nothing. On a Saturday, when there was no hot water to the kitchen sink, I had had enough! I called Scott Harrison Plumbing and they were out within two hours. Stephen was clean, well-​spoken and polite. The problem was only that my hot water heater needed to be de-​scaled. It was done in a jiffy and Stephen let me know that I needed to clean the aerators out in each faucet. They offered to do it, but that was something my husband and I could take care of on our own. He took that as our answer with no hard sell or anything! Will be calling them again. It’s wonderful to deal with a nice, local, family-​owned company.

Scott Harrison Plumbing and Heating was recommended to me by a representative of my home builder and a neighbor for mine for annual tankless water heater maintenance. I scheduled an appointment and their technician, Stephen, showed up during the time window. Stephen was great! He explained all of the work that he was going to complete, answered all of my questions about maintaining my tankless water heater, and even spent some time answer questions and concerns about the hard water in my community.
When the work was complete, Stephen explained that my tankless water heater was in excellent condition. He went over the work that was completed, explaining all of the components in my tankless water heater, and also gave me the results of a water hardness test that he did since we discussed the hard water in our community. Stephen also answered all of my questions regarding filtering systems that could help maintain my tankless system.
Later in the evening, Stephen followed up with an email about some additional items that we discussed that he said he would get back to me on. Just like he said he would.
Really happy with the service I received. No pushy attempts to sell me anything that I did not need. I will definitely be using Scott Harrison Plumbing and Heating again.

We’ve worked with Scott Harrison several times now. He installed a tankless water heater and water softener for us and recently took care of a leaking tub at our rental property. Shannon and Debbie are always quick to help and Victor is great to work with. The company is communicative, friendly, available and they know what they are doing. We will continue to use them.

My experience with Scott Harrison Plumbing has been a positive one, beginning with scheduling the appointment for my repair. The heat exchanger on my 13 year old Rinnai tankless water heater died and was no longer under warranty. Scott Harrison Plumbing is listed on the Rinnai website as an authorized dealer and I called them for help after reading good reviews about them here on Unilocal.
I spoke with Shannon H., the Customer Representative, and she answered all my questions and gave me a synopsis of what to expect –how long the job would probably take, how to pay the technician they sent out, etc.– and then scheduled my appointment with Cris M. for Friday, April 25.
On the morning of the appointment, Cris called to say he would be at my home within 30 to 40 minutes and he was right on time. Cris organized his equipment and tools and began to disassemble the old tankless water heater unit and prepare to install the new one. Cris was very methodical, thorough and neat as he went along and the entire installation took around three hours. I was so impressed with Cris’s knowledge about tankless water heaters and he was patient and thorough in explaining how to operate and maintain the new unit on a daily basis.
The confident, professional attitude at Scott Harrison Plumbing has won my confidence and I will not hesitate to call them again.

My 2-​year old water heater went on the fritz and luckily was still under warrany. Whirlpool gave me the number of Scott Harrison Plumbing as they are authorized with Whirlpool to do warrany work.
Scott Harrison plumbimg came out promptly and were quick to determine the problem. They were able to get the part from their wharehouse and get everything working in a timely fashion.
I would highly recommend scott Harrison Plumbing. They are very professional and have excellent customer service.

As a matter of full disclosure I know very little about plumbing except that when it doesn’t work I tend to have a nervous breakdown, so when my wife informed me that we had water coming in from the ceiling in not one, but two separate parts of our ca. 1968 house, I pretty much braced myself for an expensive solution. My boss recommended Scott Harrison and my wife set the initial call up for a couple days out.
Their service technician Victor made two separate calls, the ETA of which were cheerfully announced by their staff at the main office. He solved both problems which, mercifully, were not caused by leaking pipes but my own overaggressive cranking of the shower valves. We are used to paying a premium because we live in a pricey zip code, so I’m pleased to say the price seemed fair. I really appreciate the service!

My initial call and following dealings with the receptionists left me a little apprehensive about choosing Scott Harrison Plumbing. Scott was a little rude at first. While talking to him I thought I had call waiting or something because the phone kept beeping. I asked him if I was talking to a recording service but he quipped that that would be a train going by. I said good bye because I just didn’t get a good feeling but I ended up calling him back because he was the only plumber willing to take a look at the pressurized leak I was dealing with after 5PM without a ridiculous fee.
Following dealings with the receptionists were not so great either. They always seem less than thrilled to speak to me and were always in a rush, especially Shannon. It was always «Bye!» followed by an immediate *click.* She also had the balls to give me sass for not knowing that I needed to give her my first AND LAST NAME to be looked up in the system. While these may seem like minor issues, every customer wants to feel valued, respected, and comforted-​especially if their home is flooding due to a plumbing emergency.
My last complaint involves the scheduling. They could not triage my situation correctly even though it was a pressurized slab leak underneath the foundation. There was a 3 DAY gap between when my home was available to be visited and when they actually came back out and fixed the problem!
Anyways I decided to stick with them based on the professionalism I received when dealing with Victor, one of the main plumbers. Overall, I’d give Scott and crew 3.5÷5 stars. The leak is now fixed and the work they did looks clean and professional.
Update:
BIlling Issues: Shannon had charged me even though I had some questions about the charges (incomplete leak detection).
The Fix: something happened between them filling in the slab with concrete and another leak springing up because water started seeping up again. I called Scott Harrison back and they broke up their concrete they filled in to find another leak 3 inches away and wanted another $ 550 ($ 250 for another «leak detection» and $ 300) to fix it even though something they did (filling in the hole) caused another leak. The pipe is clearly defective so we’re just opting with a repipe even though insurance doesn’t cover it. We’re not going to go with Scott Harrison because his prices were on the higher end.
