We are a practice that cares about our patients and our community. At Stanwood Vision & Optical we are committed to the best possible eye care for the whole family. Our philosophy is to provide more than just a prescription for glasses. We know your eyes are responsible for how you see the world, over 80% of what you learn, and an indication of many other aspects of your total health. Our mission is to give you the tools you need for healthy vision for a lifetime. Dr. Andrus and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and well qualified to meet your needs and answer your questions. We are in-​network with most insurances, available for medical eye emergencies, we co-​manage LASIK and cataracts surgeries, and offer a full service optical with a variety of high quality designer name brand frames and lenses.

History

Established in 2010.

Stanwood Vision & Optical has been serving the Stanwood and Camano Island communities since the 1950’s. In 2006 Dr. Andrus joined Dr. Murphy in his long time practice, and eventually took over in 2010 upon Dr. Murphy’s retirement. Dr. Andrus is an award winning Optometrist who graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry with distinction in 2003.

Dr. Casey J Andrus is a primary care Optometric Physician with over a decade of experience in family eye care. He earned the competitive Health Professions Scholarship in the US Air Force and began his career in 2003 serving patients as the only Optometrist at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi. In 2006 he relocated back to the Pacific Northwest with his family, where he expanded his experience in family practice Optometry. Dr. Andrus stays busy with his wife and five children, serving in his local church, and volunteering in the schools and the community.

Areas of specialty include: computer vision, pediatric vision, hard-​to-​fit contact lenses, LASIK co-​management, and more.

Dr. Andrus is a member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington; The American Optometric Association; and Vision Source, the premier network of Private Practice Optometrists.
