Consumer Beware: always get your bids in writing and have your check ready with the bid amount. Make sure you tell the mover you have accepted their bid as the winning bid when they initiate their bid in writing. These places should be giving free bids and need to be serious when putting forth their figures. Otherwise they will lose the job. After the fact I got this elaborate sheet explaining their charges. Like it was no big deal. These Millennials dealing with Baby Boomers need to be told, unfortunately, what is customer service and responsible business. If this owner won’t give you an outright free bid and stand behind it but make excuses that it might be higher — -then move along and find someone else. And if these guys give you a bid – make sure you get other bids, too. Make them sign the bid contract they gave you that they will honor their bid and if they don’t: WALK!
The bid came in as $ 350 for four hours and two movers. The final price was $ 575 for four hours and three movers. I had to pay for a third person added at the last minute because one of the other movers wasn’t as experienced. Not my problem. Owner of business was passing on extra wages to me due to inexperience of his crew and I’m supposed to pay for that? Unfortunately I did. *(READ ON)
Was any middle ground sought for this over charge? No. Really it would be better than nothing and might not be enough to give them a good review anyway.
Did the owner take responsibility for his bid? No.
Will I use them again or ever recommend them? No.
Did they take responsibility for broken items via bonding. Yes, after their affiliate had to bring to their attention.
Did they take care and move me smoothly and fulfill all the points I had in making a careful move? Yes.
*The only reason they got away with their over charge is because I used a vetted affiliate. They didn’t have to deal directly with me and out of respect for my affiliate I did not overstep. My affiliate needs to clamp down on their less than truthful manner of doing business. If you want to have happy clients and clients that will give a great review and pass your name on to others (or use you again in 8 months as in my case) you don’t stick your client for money that is your problem to train your staff so that your crew can become efficient — you have to take that loss and be fair when giving out your bid. Yes, you gave a bid ad I agreed to that bid amount $ 350. This is the information the affiliate gave me to explain your $ 175 over charge at the end of the day when you socked me an additional $ 175 — Absolutely Ridiculous Excuse!
You wanted me to pay you to train your crew. insert «no no:» finger waving emoticon here
IN CONCLUSION: I paid a $ 175 tip to these guys for doing the work they were supposed to do in the first place with two people.
So, final score is 2 of 5 stars for lack of «integrity».

I really need to store my seven big boxes at my friends apartment at the Friday before final week. But I think it’s too heavy for me to move those boxes by myself as a girl. So I find the moving crew through google. I called them at the Friday noon to see is there any possible to help me move my boxes today. So I schedule the time with them. The timing is perfect! They come really fast to help me solve my problem. They are nice and friendly. Their moving service is professional and fast! Thanks guys again!

Moving Crew was recommended to us by a realtor who has used them to move many of her clients. I have to say our experience with the Moving Crew was the BEST and I am so glad we chose to follow her advice and hire them. They are most definitely a «5 star» moving company. Very professional, friendly & hard working.
Tom met with us a few weeks before our move and provided us with an onside estimate, which turned out to be spot on after the move was completed. They charge a very fair hourly rate and definitely deserved every penny of it as they worked continuously and didn’t take breaks. They took extreme care of our belongings, wrapped and blanketed everything!
Tom and the Moving Crew made our experience «stress free» We couldn’t have asked for a better Crew!!! We will most certainly refer them to friends & family! If we ever decide to move in the near future we will be hiring the MOVING CREW Again!!!

My move was decided last minute, so I was concerned whether I can find professional moving people with short notice, with reasonable price. I feel so lucky that I have found the Moving Crew! One of the most efficient and safe move I had. The moving crew was very professional and courteous!
— Tom (the owner) asked for a few photos of my boxes and belongings a few days in advance, to give me a more accurate estimate of the time and pricing. I found this very professional.
— It took 10~15 minutes for them to pick up the truck and arrive to start the move. Right before they started to load my furniture, they made sure to point to the clock and tell me that the counting for moving time started then, which I found very professional and transparent! (not including the first 10~15 min)
— They covered all my furniture will blankets to prevent any damage.
— Loading, moving and unloading all ended within 2 hours! They were all very hard working.

I found this company through a good friend who said they were the best moving company he has ever dealt with (and he has moved MANY times). I soon realized why he had recommended them so highly.
I was planning a move for myself and 4 family members from State College to Northern NJ. We had a large house worth of stuff and it was most certainly not going to be a simple move. Tom came out to give me a free quote and really spent the time with me to go over our options and to give his recommendations. I decided to do exactly what he recommended and we scheduled the date and time to begin the move.
On the day of the move, Tom and his crew showed up a little early, which was great as we were ready for him. They worked very hard throughout the entire day and made sure they were extremely careful with all of my belongings as well as the walls in the house. Tom oversaw the entire operation and made sure everything went smoothly.
Upon arriving to NJ, again, all items were very carefully brought into my new home. They even took the time to assemble every single piece of furniture and made sure they were all in their desired locations. This move was made SO easy thanks to Tom and his crew. They were very hard, very carefully and very efficiently. I will use them again even if I have to pay an extra fee to have them come out to NJ. They made the typically miserable moving experience stress-​free. I highly recommend The Moving Crew!

I planned to rent a moving truck and make the move myself but realized it was impossible to move certain furniture pieces without a second helper. The cost to rent the truck and hire a local crew to move was about the same if I was to do it myself.
For a few extra, they helped me move down from Central PA to the DC Metro area.
Austin and Ray helped, both very professional, courteous and efficient workers. Contact Tim, he’s the owner and is very flexible – willing to work with you. Depending on his schedule, he will try to squeeze you in on short notice but make sure you tip the movers and make sure you have cold drinks available.
