Ate at Pita Pit for my very first time a couple days ago and it was an all around great experience. The customer service was amazing as I requested their recommendations and they took the time to point out their favorites and the most popular options. Decent prices and absolutely amazing food! Not to mention, they’re open until 3am! I will be back!

This is an example of how staff and management can make or break a restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful even though they were working long hours that day. The food is exactly like any other pita pit, fresh and delicious. I’d recommend the buffalo chicken pita.

I thought this was fantastic. It’s sort of subway-ish with a similar line for ordering food and seemingly similar theme. I got my favorite topping-falafel. It was good. Everyone does falafel differently and this was very tasty and fresh. Very good vegetarian option. Tasty pita.

I loved getting a breakfast pita from here! It’s not worth $ 8, though. When I got delivery I had to order something extra to meet the delivery minimum. In reality, the pita is worth closer to $ 6.

DON“T GETCHICKEN i have never been so sick. Me and my friends went here today for the 3.99 pita deal and we all have food poisoning. I used to love this place and have never been in so much pain. This has been happening a lot to people I know recently and I figured it wouldn’t happen to me but it did and I will never eat it again.

This restaurant has the worst delivery service I’ve ever experienced. After waiting an hour, I called to check on my order and they said they couldn’t find my address so they returned the food to the restaurant without calling or anything. Then they had the audacity to tell me I’d have to wait and order tomorrow because they are closed for the night. The times I’ve actually gotten my food it took over an hour each time and I live less than 2 miles away from the restaurant.

For something quick, cheap, and healthy you can’t really go wrong with pita pit. They have five dollar specials every weekday. On the first Thursday of the month Pitas are $ 3.50, but they don’t grill vegetables on that day so it does take away from the meal a little bit. The steak and and prime rib Pitas are great, but I would stay away from the turkey and gyro. Overall the food is really good and I’m always surprised there aren’t more people there every time I go.

What a great spot for late night eats! After a night out on the town, my husband and I were ravenous and somehow ended up at Pita Pit. The deal of the day was $ 5 for a falafel pita. It included all the sauces and veggies you wanted. To be perfectly honest the details of the visit were a little fuzzy– I just know I walked out full and happy. The pita was huge! I wish I had a photo but I was too busy devouring my food to stop and take one. Good deal and hit the spot– I’m a fan.

We went to the Pita Pit whole I was in town for a friends wedding. The food was good and the service was good as well. The menu is very diverse and you can build your own Pita from the many menu choices. I would not be able to gage the service as Penn State was not in session to see what the confusion would be about. Overall the restaurant was clean and the staff on had was attentive. The food and portion were satisfying.

Called for take out, and the guy on the phone was really sweet. That’s why this place gets 2 stars. Customer Service: My boyfriend went to pick up the food, and when we opened the bag at home there was one pita instead of 2. He went back and said«that’s not cool guys» and instead of apologizing & trying to make things right, gal behind the counter begins telling *him* how rude he is… Wtf?! Did I miss something how you messed up our order and we have to do two trips?! Food: Then eating the cold pitas was fine, not really super tasty, but fine. The stomach ache I had the next morning was not fine.

Whenever I am at Penn State visiting my boyfriend, I almost always make sure to grab a pita from here, they are so good! I love how it’s kind of like Subway and that you can pick different veggies and addings to put on your pita. I also like that they have the option of choosing a wheat pita. Since its decently priced, pretty healthy and the staff are always cool I am giving it 4 stars. The place could use a little bit of a fresh update, regardless, it’s all around great otherwise! I am just so surprised this simple, yet genius idea hasn’t made its way to NYC yet!

A unplanned extended stay in State College area called for a dinner take out. Quick scan of Lionemenus for a healthier option pointed us to this place: we ordered two salads and a buffalo chicken pita: all were delivered per exact description and consumer preference. We enjoyed the food, and actually calle for one more take-out a couple of days later. This time we got all pita selections, so I’d recommend d sticking with the salad versions: for me, they are tastier, healthier, and more enjoyable.

It’s overpriced unless you get the daily special and even then it’s still a bit overpriced. It’s underportioned unless you double the meat, which makes it overpriced. It was pretty good though. Don’t be fooled by their claims that it’s healthy — if you look at the nutritional facts, everything’s LOADED with sodium.

1st Thursday of every month=half price pita days. You just sign up online and show them the flier(on your phone or print one). Definitely delicious. They take FOREVER when ordering, so if you live downtown just walk, or order for pickup. Place can look a little scummy inside but my food always tasted great!

Eat only when drunk. Otherwise taste like paper. Don’t trust me? Fine then.

Ugh. Pita Pit used to be a good place to eat. It was clean, somewhat cheap, and delivery was quick. Somehow within the last two to three months I’ve received wrong delivery orders, subpar food, and items have just simply been forgotten. I’ve taken my business elsewhere, but Pita Pit was something that was great and has slowly devolved into poor fare. Spend your money elsewhere.

I can’t believe no one has reviewed this place yet. Pita Pit offers fresh options in this college town full of late night bargains on really greasy food. Also, these people are open late, so its great for those long study nights at the HUB. I hear their breakfast pitas are pretty good, so you should definitely try those out too. Their smoothies are pretty good as well and are relatively large; I definitely couldn’t finish my pita AND my smoothie at the same time. I really had to pace myself. Their delivery is prompt and service fast and friendly! Enjoy this relatively healthy option :)
