AMAZING facial experience with Samantha! This is the second time I’ve come back for a facial with Samantha. It was definitely a pampering experience as if I was at an expensive resort and spa. Highly recommend getting your facials here! Will be coming back again!

This is by far the best dermatology office I have ever been to. I’ve been a patient since I was young and I always appreciated how caring and compassionate the doctors were. The entire staff at this office is very friendly! Which is hard to find at a medical office– especially in Tahoe. I noticed some of the bad reviews complain about having to wait a long time… But let’s be honest here, this is a place that cures skin cancer and does surgery. I would never get upset about having to wait longer than expected because the doctor was tied up with curing a skin cancer on someone. Imagine if that was your grandmother in surgery? I like to focus on how clean the office is, and how knowledgable the doctors and nurses are because as a patient I want to feel like I’m in good hands… And I get that from this place.

The nurses are amazing and very knowledgable. I went in for a skin check they found a melanoma spot cut it out and are doing a laser treatment to get rid of my scar for free! I will keep going back and recommend them to friends.

WOW! What an awesome group of professionals from the moment I walked into the reception area, greeted by the MA and then the FANTASTIC service and care give by Dr Salm. I will tell ALL my family and friends that need a Dermatologist to go here!

Made appt 3 months ago. Arrived early today as requested with all my paperwork filled out ahead of time that I had them fax me. I arrived and the waiting room was full the women behind the desk were courteous. When I inquired if the doctor was on time I was told yes and one patient was ahead of me. I politely waited for 45 minutes and cancelled my appt and left because I had another doctors appt that took me 4 months to get that I was not about to let these jokers screw up and make me miss. The receptionist offers me movie tickets for my trouble that have expired in 2010. Beyond this while I waited for 45 minutes I started hearing medical staff discuss very personal medical information out where I could hear every word. The staff were not dressed professionally nor were they cleanly groomed. They seemed more interested in the Christmas cookies they were eating. I will never return there nor would I recommend anyone that has ever had medical care in an up to date facility visit this place. This office is about as exciting as the local DMV. I’m from the Bay Area and have pretty fair standards for care and cleanliness of an office. This was a waste of three months of my time.

They helpfully got me an appointment without much lead time.

I’m one of those people cursed with trillions of moles, so one of the first things I sought out when I moved to Lake Tahoe was a dermatologist for regular checkups. While Dr. Salm’s front office staff all seem more interested in the perks of working for a cosmetic surgeon (or perhaps it’s a rule that they all have platinum hair and unusually perky boobs and noses?), it’s still very much a dermatologists office once you get beyond the façade. That, however, takes a long time if your appointment is scheduled for anytime after about 1 pm, just like Southwest flights.
Dr. Salm himself is a competent doctor, and his preoccupation with minimizing scarring (the cosmetic surgeon in him) means that any mole removal is usually followed up by scar removal measures, be they tattoos, creams, lasers or bandages.
And while he doesn’t always appreciate the dry humor I employ to combat my nervousness when he approaches me with a large hypodermic needle (we all have our coping mechanisms), he gets the job done in a gentle and efficient manner.
I’m giving him a 4 star because of the perpetual lateness of the late afternoon appointments, which is exceptionally frustrating.
