I had a terrible experience at Friday station. A group of 5 of us made are reservation for 730 on Saturday and it took us 20 minutes to get a seat. Our waiter never even gave us his name. It took almost 20 minutes to get any attention from our waiter for waters. The views are great and the food wasn’t too bad(I have had wayyyyy better). I just expect impeccable service for the prices of the menu. Unfortunately I will not be returning along with my 4 friends because they were more upset then I was. 2 stars for the views

Great food… Had the T bone, and the wife had the sea bass… Both were wonderful. The view from the 18th floor were also great. It was night time, so can’t quite see the lake, but the skyline were nice. The service was also fantastic, our waiter were attentive and gave us some suggestion that were very helpful… Like other review, the price is up there… Although it wasn’t the very best meal we’ve ever had, it deserves 5 star, and I suppose coupled with the view and the service deserve the price for the whole experience…

Great service, nice ambience, gluten-friendly. I appreciate they kept my fish plain and grilled just as I asked. Dropped almost $ 200 for dinner for 2 and drinks. However, it’s not really much more than the buffet if you don’t drink. That’s unless you prefer to gouge yourself on a sea of food. :)

I have only eaten here once but cannot wait to go back. I got the Chilean sea bass with crab and it was probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten! My boyfriend got the lamb chops which were also really tasty. I wish I could remember our server’s name because he was awesome and very knowledgeable, suggesting the sea bass was on point! It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I’ll be eating here again soon, I hope!

This place is delicious with large portions. It is on the pricey side but for the quality of food, service and décor of restaurant its definitely worth splurging. If you haven’t been here before its located inside Harrah’s…just get in the elevator and you will see which floor to go to. Suggestion for couples — Split a salad and a steak & lobster combo with a few extra sides. If you each get your own dish and a salad its way too much food and very expensive.

EXCELLENT! Warning: this place IS expensive! Average $ 50 per plate, just FYI. We ordered Prime Rib and the Filet mignon w/Blackened Shrimp. The meat was sooo tender– it just melts in your mouth. Oyster Rockefeller was really good too-all the meat tasted fresh. We ordered Riesling and it was amazing! Service was good but a bit slow on this particular night-I think they had a huge wedding party. The waiter still did his best and consistently apologized about our wait. We will be back!

Since we were vacationing in South Lake Tahoe, we came here for Thanksgiving dinner this year. They were offering both a traditional Thanksgiving type dinner, as well as their full menu. It looked good, so we booked and we were not disappointed! From the time we entered, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were seated immediately in a perfect little corner table for two by the window. The table could have been a little big bigger, but the view and privacy made up for it. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. I’m sad to say that I forgot to take pictures of the food and drinks — it looked so good we dug in immediately! We started with the Oysters Rockefeller which were very tasty. There were 6 on a plate full of salt. I still do not understand why this dish is so hard to find, especially in Los Angeles where we live, because it’s amazing! We had a total of 4 cocktails during dinner — vodka/tonic, mai tai, and cannot remember the other 2 but they were all good. Oh, and they give you complimentary bread and butter. It was good, but it would have been SO much better if it would have been warm or toasted, or something other than cold. We both ordered the filet mignon with shrimp scampi. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the scampi came with 4 large butterflied shrimp(even though the menu says 2 shrimp). The pasta could have used a bit more flavor and sauce, but it was good. There were a few veggies as well; broccolini and baby carrots. The food was terrific, the service was excellent(I *think* our server was Tom), and the view(although dark outside) was great. The bill came to about $ 180 as I recall, but it was certainly worth it — and remember, we had 4 cocktails which were at least $ 10 each(can’t remember the exact price). We would definitely come back again!

The hubs loved his prime rib, but the pasta for the youngster was way over cooked and my king crab legs were okay. Pass on the cheesecake but the chocolate cake was good. Other steak houses we wanted to try were closed on Tuesdays.

Bottom line, people come here for the view. There isn’t a poor seat in the restaurant, and if you get anywhere near the glass around sunset you’ll be treated to some amazing shots of the lake. The service was quick, both our server(Mike) and his busser were on top of their games and very personable. The front hosts were also great, we showed up 30 minutes early and they gave us a table right away. This place is clean, non-snooty, semi-casual and relaxed. We showed up in collared shirts and nice jeans and blended in pretty well. Food is 4.5-star, nothing you haven’t had before at any high-end restaurant, with appropriate pricing to match. The drinks from the bar were mixed very well, but more expensive than most. We’ll probably be back, but there are similar spots at the other hotels that probably offer the same experience.

I love this restaurant! Every time we have been here we have not been disappointed. We visited this past Sunday to celebrate our anniversary(a few days late) and the meal and service was outstanding. I had the filet mignon and when I asked if they could leave off the carrots our server asked if I liked asparagas(yes!) they switched them out. Something simple but it made another positive impression. Another reviewer thought the prices were high but I think they were comparable to any fine steak and seafood restaurant.

Food, really tasty. Service, to be desired. Felt like I was on the pay no mind list. No issue, the tip was not anything I would mind. Vibe overall was good. Make sure that the help pays attention, or they go off in the stratosphere.

TLDR — nice restaurant with great view. expensive food but huge portions and very flavorful Came with a party of 8 a little before sunset. The view, like other Unilocalers have mentioned, is pretty amazing from this top floor restaurant. Definitely try to get a table by the window with a view of the lake for the sunset. Unfortunately, the table that was reserved for my group was in the center of the restaurant, nowhere near the windows, and our view of the sunset was blocked by a ginormous column, so we didn’t quite get the nice experience this restaurant is known for :( Unilocal labels this place as «upscale» ambience and«dressy» attire, and while it is a nice restaurant, it’s definitely by no means that classy. In the end, it’s still a very touristy spot and everyone’s dressed very casually. Service is what you would find at an upscale restaurant though. Our servers were very friendly and welcoming and incredibly accommodating of substitutions and requests for our entrees. The food here is pretty expensive. Appetizers, soups and salads are reasonable around the $ 15 range, but entrees average about $ 50. Unlike typical upscale restaurants where you wonder where half your $ 50 entrée went, the portion sizes here are HUGE! All the entrees my group ordered could have been shared between 2 people for a more healthy portion size. 4 people in our group did end up splitting 2 steak entrees between them, and the restaurant actually split the entrees into separate plates for them(instead of bringing out the dish on just one plate). When I saw those plates come out, I thought they had all ordered their own entrees! I didn’t see the final bill so I’m not sure if the restaurant charges a split plate fee, but if you don’t have a big appetite or are on more of a budget, I’d recommend ordering something to share :) I ordered the Lamb Chops as my entrée, which was pretty good. Everyone else’s steaks and salmon looked amazing as well. The food overall is flavorful and cooked exactly as you request it. Not necessarily the best I’ve had at that price tag, but given the huge portion sizes, it’s definitely worth it. * LAMBCHOPS($ 46) — 4⁄5 Comes with 3 large lamb chops in a sweet mango chutney. Normally served with potatoes and steamed seasonal veggies(broccoli during my visit) drizzled with olive oil, but the waiter happily subbed my potatoes with extra veggies instead since I don’t really like potatoes and left out the olive oil at my request as well. I asked for my lamb to be cooked medium rare, closer to rare, and each lamb chop was cooked perfectly. The texture, however, wasn’t quite as tender as I would have expected from a perfect medium rare. We didn’t end up getting any dessert but they brought us complimentary truffles and mint chocolates! Also, if you’re a Harrah’s rewards member(which we weren’t), you get $ 3 off each entrée. You can sign up for free if you’re not a member, but we didn’t bother to do so.

Atmosphere, service and food were spot on. Cocktails were prompt. Strawberry spinach salad with fried Brie was amazing. A must have. Appetizers, and main course were presented exactly how they were ordered. Mike was a wonderful server and made this family dinner very memorable. Will post definitely revisit

Wow !! Wow !! Wow !! I have to say that this is one of the finest meals I have had in a long time !! I went up to Lake Tahoe for a few days with some girlfriends and we decided to splurge and treat ourselves to a nice dinner, and what a view !! Its on the 18th floor of the Harrah’s Casino with wonderful views of the lake, the sunset was just beautiful !! The waiter came right over after we were seated and took our drink order, and told us the specials. I have to admit that they are pretty expensive consider I am use to my local steak houses in Reno… but thats ok !! Time to splurge !! I ordered the 8 oz. Filet Mignon, and Blackened Shrimp special with a mango pineapple sauce… OMG, it was soooooo good and tender, it totally melted in my mouth !! I could cut it with my butter knife !! It came with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. Yum Yum. We were all so impressed with our meals, one friend had the Lamb Rack and she finished them all, Prime Rib was also deli-sh, and then we had a Salmon Dish, I did not try that since I am not a salmon fan… I so recommend a visit to the Friday Station, yea its pricey but well work it !! I give this place 5 lbs !!

My girlfriend and I came here after getting into Lake Tahoe around 9pm. The restaurant was pretty empty, maybe 4 or 5 other tables. We got seated close to the window and ordered drinks and an appetizer. The waitress came back with my beer pretty quickly, but completely forgot about my girlfriends cocktail. When we reminded her later, she asked for my girlfriends ID completely ignoring the fact that we had already ordered the drink. The calamari appetizer was pretty good, but definitely not too special. I got the New York Steak for a main course. It came with a large portion of mashed potatoes, but the meat was very chewy and definitely not worth the price. My girlfriend got the sword fish and scallops. The fish was pretty good, but the scallops were over cooked. Our waitress was not very attentive during the meal. However, Martin, the backwaiter, was very friendly and even offered to get me a second beer when the waitress didn’t notice I had finished my first. He is the reason I gave two stars instead of one. He also offered to get the desert menus when we finished our meal, as we couldn’t find our waitress. I would not recommend going to this place. It is definitely not worth the price.

Amazing Food, HUGE Portions, Fantastic Service, Spectacular Lake Tahoe Views! I’ve had a few dinners here. It’s a really nice restaurant, but be sure to check the menu online before you come in. The prices are insane.($ 50-$ 90 per entrée) Yes, the food is great, yes the portions are large, but you’re also paying for a view … And well… they can charge anything they want… High rollers will pay. Be prepared to spend over $ 200-$ 300 per couple. If you’re a big spender or hit a jack pot, check this place out. It’s a really nice experience.

Quality is great. It’s overall pretty overpriced, but I think it’s what you pretty much expect. Don’t come here on a budget. You come here to celebrate and to eat. The bread is good, although I noticed they stopped serving it with the different types of mousses like they did a few years ago(smoked salmon mousse… yummmm). Steaks are usually cooked the way they’re requested. Prime rib is juicy and delicious. Crab bisque is also pretty tasty. The ambiance is fancy, but not too fancy. You’ll feel comfortable wearing jeans here, and you won’t get funny looks if you do. I’m sure I’ll be back at some point in the future.

Friday Station is a great place to have a drink with a view; which I am a big fan of. This is one of the greatest public views in town. They didn’t have any good craft beer(IMO), but did have a full bar, so good choices for the group. I ate at the restaurant maybe 4 – 5 years ago.

Came here last night for a work function and overall was a pretty good experience… the view from the top of Harrah’s is really amazing! To be really honest I wasn’t overly impressed but with the food for how expensive it was but don’t get me wrong it was tasty but not super impressive. The steaks here are more expensive than Ruth’s Chris and Morton’s in my opinion. We started off with a good array of appetizers(crab cakes, oysters, calamari) all which were very good but took a fair amount of time of time to come out. Next out was a watermelon salad which was seriously underwhelming. But this isn’t what you really come to a steak place for so I was willing to hold all judgments for the meat! Finally here comes the Filet I ordered medium rare… steak cooked perfectly but lacked some seasoning but still had pretty good flavor. The side condiments consisted of some cold mashed potatoes and 1 piece of asparagus also cold. Also served with the steak was some sauce which not sure why because it was not very good at all. All in all nice experience, awesome view, great place for a special occasion or a romantic evening but plan on dropping a few Benjamin’s.
