Established in 2012.

Austin Personalized Photography became a true business in 2012, when I decided to take my hobby of photography and turn it into a business. After many hours of photography training and practice Austin Personalized Photography was born. I specialize in family photography in custom location with the use of natural light. I also love photographing newborns using natural light with minimal props and first birthdays. I am a father and an actor, which helps me connect naturally to children and families.

Neil is a photographer who lives in Brooklyn, New York. Neil blends his love for photography with his training as an Actor to specialize in putting children and families at ease which helps create natural magical moments caught on film. Neil is a husband, a father and an animal lover and has a passion for working with families, kids and animals.

All of Neil’s sessions are shot on location using natural light. Suggested locations would be a beach, park, playground, your home or anywhere the family chooses.

Neil has an instinctual ability to connect with children and join in their escapades which helps capture truely magical images for the family to cherish for a lifetime.

Neil is amazingly talented. I saw his work through a few mutual friends and knew he was talented, but it became explicitly clear when he was able to execute my idea into a stunning reality.
I hired Neil for a Christmas Card photo shoot. I am in my late 20s and wanted a satirical card to send my family so I can avoid the «so.you’re still single?» dinner conversation. I envisioned the pictures being me pretending to drink wine and being silly but when it came down to the photo shoot, I was nervous and had no idea what I wanted to do.
Neil was professional, prepared and stepped right up to the plate, making me feel comfortable and giving me direction for each pose. By the end of the session I had such a hard time picking pictures because I loved them all!!! Of course I went from my idea of having one picture on my card to narrowing his masterpieces down to a collage card of 3 pictures!
The hour session was well priced, an enjoyable experience, and my return time for the proofs was shockingly short. I very much enjoyed my experience with Austin Personalized Photography and will absolutely be using Neil’s services for every Christmas card photo shoot from here on out!

I had a wonderful experience with Neil. He had a $ 100 special, which included the high quality images on a cd.
I have looked at over 15 photographers in the Brooklyn area and they will advertise $ 175 – 350 for the session, and then still charge $ 100 on top for the CD, plus 10 – 12 dollars or more for each print. None of these photographers had any impressive credentials, and most didn’t even have their own studio.
Neil was super prompt to answer my messages I wrote to him through the company Facebook page. I had tons of ridiculous questions he was happy to answer.
I was truly the client from hell, and even arrived late to my appointment, and Neil was still super friendly, calm and accommodating. My little son is 9 months old and very weary of strangers and their homes, but Neil had him engaged and laughing. We have wonderful pictures. Even my husband admitted it was a great idea to have a portrait session and he loved the results.
We had our session the night before thanksgiving, and the prints were ready the following Monday. Had it not been for the Holiday they probably would have been ready even sooner believe it or not. Neil even offered to hand deliver to CD to us!
You will get the most bang for your buck with Neil. He is just as, if not more professional than anyone I’ve had a consultation with.

Neil is a natural behind the camera. When shooting my head shot, he made me feel at ease to get the most out of our photo shoot. In a short session he gave me several usable shots. I got some light retouching on them– I used them on my website and I have a great new head shot.

My son and I had a great experience with Neil. I wasn’t sure how my toddler would be with a stranger taking his picture for an hour but Neil has a calm way about him that put my son at ease almost immediately. My son had so much fun with Neil and getting his photos taken that the hour went by too fast! The photos came out so great. I was so happy with the results. There were so many great shots it was hard to choose a favorite. My husband and I are planning on doing a family photo shoot in the future with Neil. Can’t wait!

Neil was very professional and he helped put the kids at ease for a special photo shoot for a surprise birthday present for my husband. The time and outdoor space was used well and the kids were laughing as they did both serious and silly poses. He really captured some great moments and it will be hard to decide which photos we will use in our gift since we can’t use them all.

Neil has a natural talent when it comes to working with children. He made the photo shoot with my daughter Julia such an enjoyable experience. He chatted with her, made her laugh and asked her to share stories which produced the most beautiful, kinetic images I have ever seen of her captured in print.
