Customer service sucks.
Good luck getting help there, they don’t care if you shop there

Recently went tv shopping just to look. After meeting Leonard, I purchased a LG tv. He is the only sales person at that store that’s pleasant and knows what’s going on

Everytime I come I’m always greeted, staff is very friendly an helpful. My kids love to play there video games an of course mom an dad enjoy there own sections.
Went in today to pick up my free Jurassic park tee shirt from last week which was sold out so today they had a extra one an I was so lucky to snag it.

This place is a hit or miss for me. Most of the often, Its pack and good luck finding assistance. Try to come on a Saturday evening.

What happened to this place and the knowledgable employees??? There was a time you could go into this Best Buy and actually talk to workers that knew about the products they were selling. Those day are long gone I see. I’d rather hear from a salesperson that they don’t know the answer to my question instead of the giving me the answers just to get me to buy the product and get out of the store. I usually always try to do my homework on the products I plan to purchase so I don’t have to ask in store. Every time I don’t and rely on the salesperson, I end up with totally wrong info about the product and have to return it. The incompetence of the employees here makes me hate going in anymore!

Not once have I had an issue at this store. Staff is friendly and helpful, and if something isn’t in stock, I can simply order it online. They will also price match Amazon, which is incredible service on their part. The convenience and service is not something you can find at some mom and pop. I am a loyal patron and will continue to be.

I hate this place with a passion. Not the workers fault the company chooses to keep this place understaffed but it makes for a super frustrating experience. We walked around the store for literally 15 minutes trying to buy a 400 dollar smart watch. Got so frustrated we just left and ordered it off amazon. Place always looks ransacked. No phone or smart watches were turned on to view, why even bother to come into the store then.

Workers is lazy n rude n jus dumb how u work there n u don’t know what u r doing u ask for help they get attitudes bout helping u or they brush u saying the item it’s not in stock I’m so fed up with this crap every time I come here co workers think they r on social hr wen suppose to b working n on the clock what type of management lets their employees hang out instead of helping customers it’s a job not a bar

For me, it was a hit or miss experience. To browse, there is not problem, but if you have questions or actually need assistance, it may be an issue. The good time, a very helpful gentleman assisted us in purchasing a new TV, showed us a model that was just on sale, and really did a good job selling it to us, granted, it was an LG and he specialized in LG, but either way, we are very happy with the purchase and his service. They didn’t have it in stock so we bought it there for him, then drove to one in Jersey to pick it up. The second time, we were going to purchase 2 computers, a surface pro 3 and a chromebook, knew exactly what we wanted, just needed to get them. The staff was very unhelpful in that department. We wound up walking out and driving once again to Jersey where someone was able to get the stuff for us. For some video games or movies or whatever you’re good, but beware if you need help.

I like Best Buy, but it’s always crazy busy. I walk around half the time looking for someone to help me when I know what I want, I just need assistance getting it. I must say each time I’ve made a large purchase like a camera, a printer, a wireless speaker, etc. the worker has always explained the product thoroughly and I left there pleased. The rewards card is good to get because you earn points and they send useful coupons. Just know what to expect before you go in to avoid aggrivation.

I came here early not knowing the time. There were a ton of people waiting outside. Open at 10am didn’t make sense. When there were at lease more then 10 people waiting.
Inside it was quick and easy shopping experience. I was a bit lost walking around but that’s usually their method to have customer walk the entire store to buy things. I wasn’t that thrilled with a service rarely morning when I went to the camera aisle to get some storage. The employee was a bit rude and didn’t seem to want to help me. I got what I wanted and purchased it at the checkout. Didn’t want to bother him or anyone else.

This is the worst bb they have the most awful customer service they dont give a s**t about you they’re all so rude and the managers there are so stupid they dont lnow wjat theyre doing. I would never ever go there again I go to the one in Woodbridge now

Always crowded, especially when there is a sale! I prefer going on weekday evenings, so you can be in and out. I find the staff to be helpful, when you can get hold of someone. I feel like the staff is very knowledgeable about their products and always steer you to get the best brand. Also, they recycle electronics which I like! Join the rewards program and they send you coupons every now and again.

I would rather travel into NJ than shop at this Best Buy. Employees are rude and lazy. If you don’t like your job, then QUIT! People don’t realize that the type of job you get is the type of job you are qualified for. Moving on, I had 2 negative experiences and 1 positive experience at this store. The positive experience was from someone who didn’t even work for Best Buy. He actually worked for Google and was extremely helpful. I purchased a Nexus 7 tablet for my young daughter, he was not only courteous by extremely knowledgeable about the product. Wish there were more employees like him.
As for the negative experiences, the 1^st was when I purchased a electronic piano keyboard. The ac/​dc adapter wasn’t functioning and I immediately took the adapter to best buy so they could give me a new one (same day). The female at customer service was disgustingly rude and didn’t want to just take a adapter from an unopened piano model and just damage the product in their system. She wanted me to bring the piano and all the accessories back to the store so they could give me a whole new piano (which weighed about 50 pounds). I told her that it made no sense for me to bring the whole product back when all they had to do is just give me a new adapter. The piano at home was working fine as we tested it with another adapter. It took 15 minutes of debating until I was frustrated and demanded to speak to the manager. The manager then tells the employee, «why are you giving her such a hard time? We do this all the time, just give her the adapter and damage out the new piano in the system.» Manager solved the problem in 5 seconds!
Second negative experience I had was with price matching at the register. 2 new games for Xbox One were on sale at Walmart. I asked if they price matched with Walmart and the employee replied yes. He went online and checked to see the price. Walmart was out of stock for one of the games, but I explained to the employee that if he just changed the home store that another store would say that it was in stock. He didn’t want to do it and said he could not match the price, even though the price was clearly stated on the site. I went to Target on Veterans road and they matched the price without hesitation. Waste of time and will NEVER go to Best Buy on Staten Island again. Route 18 Best buy is where I will be going for now on. It’s worth the toll, the people are friendly and actually do their job without hesitation.

This might be the messiest best buy I ever been to. The service sucks! They don’t have most of the stuff they say they have. They always say purchase it online… so I don’t even know y I even come here…

I go to this Best Buy a lot & the service is always the same when I’m there — horrible. If you know what you’re looking for & don’t need any help, this is the place to go. But if you need to buy something & need help or explaining, there’s never anyone to help you. It’s very rare that you see employees walking around asking if you need help. A lot of the time you’ll be in a section, see someone, ask for help & they reply «this isn’t my section.» To me that’s not helpful. I worked in retail before & even if it’s not your section, you can still help a customer if you’re not busy. I feel like employees here see you & run the other way. It’s always a hassal. But when you actually get help, it’s fine. It’s just getting the help in the first place that’s a struggle. They need to work on that!

When i need something electronic this is the only place i go. They have the best prices. They have a great return policy and you get rewards points! I wont go anywhere else.

Basically, I was looking to buy a GPS with no prior knowledge. When I visited BEst BUy, I thought to myself, «Oh boy, I won’t be able to find assistance here since the location is like a warehouse so grand.». I quickly scooped a passing sales guy and inquired about GPS. He honestly admitted he knew nothing about GPS and escorted me to the salesperson in the proper section. It was like a maze, but I went directly to the area with no time wasted.
Once I got there, the salesperson explained there were three top GPS makers, Tom Tom, Magellan and Garmin. He said majority favors Garmin. I was like YaY, my previous models were all Garmins. Good choice! He was extremely knowledgeable and polite. I am the type to ask all questions and until i feel i am getting the right item for the right price. He explained the differences of all models and I decided on Garmin Nuvi 2505. Not too high end and not too low, Just Right!
The plus is I didn’t have to take the purchasing merchandise and wait on the zig zag snake line to pay at the register. I simply paid in the same GPS section. In and Out!

I had my first Black Friday experience here a few years back and it was horrible and fun, but I have to commend them for handling it very well. There was no chaos and they organized the checkout process in an efficient manner.
Anyway, I used to come here for random tech things back when I used to live in Staten Island. It’s pretty much a standard Best Buy.
I don’t get all the hate for this place. I hadn’t noticed anything bad compared to other Best Buys. Their return line gets a little long and is slow at times, but I’ve never noticed anything out of the ordinary.
If you’re in the area, this is one of the best choices for tech products.

I don’t know why people get all bound up about salesmen when it is their job to sell you stuff. Just go with the flow. I went to the audio for cars dept and found a JVC on sale for 79. I picked that one because it was affordable and got pretty good reviews online. People complain that Geek Squad charges fifty bucks to install, but hey, you can go to PC Richards but the unit has to cost 129 for them to install it «free». Same difference.
The dude in audio for cars dept was so smart that other associates were going to him for advice on products.
I liked the people there.
