The people that own and work in this store are mean and nasty to their customers. and Their lack of respect to the customer is absurd and unruly. On February 13, I went to this store since I was already in the Staten Island Mall o buy my wife Valentines Day gift. While I was checking the merchandise and comparing prices the sales person aproached me and offered her help. I explained exactly what I wanted to buy(milk chocolate, chocolate with nuts, and some chocolate with caramel– nothing erotic) .She directed me to a 10 ounce box of Godiva milk chocolate assortment for 31 dollars($ 49.60 per pound). I told I am going to the display counter to check the individual pieces and than wanted to buy two pounds of a milk chocolate asortment(14.99 per pound compared to 49.60 per pound for that box of Godiva). The sales person and owner realizing that I was not buying the Godiva chocolate at $ 49.60 per pound became rude and nasty and tried to rush me out of the store. I did make the purchase of their indinidual pieces of milk chocolate(2 pounds for a total of 31 dolars). They refused to give me a gift box or a small bag stating that it was reserved only for the Godiva chocolate customers.(I bought a bag from Hallmark for 5 dollars) If I was not disabled and could travel to another store, I would have told these two ugly ladies where to shove their chocolate. Do not go to this store!!! You work hard for your money and no store owner or sales person should ever treat you but only with kindness and respect ever. No store owner or sales person should treat you with disrespect . .I wonder when store owners believed that they are above their customers. The best chocolate any where is in Marine Park area of Brooklyn located on Avenue R and Nostrand Avenue — all home made chocolate and they respect their customers.
