We carry a large selection of comics, graphic novels, toys, gaming merchandise, apparel, DVDs and other assorted goodies. We have a lounge where anyone can come in, grab a cup of coffee (it’s free!) have a seat and read a book cover to cover (no purchase required). We also hold a ton of events every single month ranging from signings with your favorite comic creators, in-​store music performances, movie release parties, Magic the Gathering tournaments, and a whole slew of other fun stuff. We pride ourselves on quality customer service and offer one of the best retail experiences in the entire city. If you don’t believe me come down and see it for yourself, we love meeting new people who love this stuff as much as we do.

History

Established in 2007.

Part of the fun of comic book culture is all about being able to talk about the stuff we love most with fellow fans. We felt that too many shops only catered to shuffling people in and out and not about having a shared experience. The relaxed atmosphere, inviting lounge area, and friendly staff all come together to bring the customer the best possible retail experience. We encourage loitering and want you to come and hang out with us and talk comics. Involving everyone we meet is extremely important to us. If you are trying to get into comics and don’t know where to start, ask us and we’ll gladly help you with any questions you may have. We exist for you!

THE best comic book shop I have ever gone to. I have been collecting comics for over 30 years. Comic Book Jones is the place to go. I go there every Wednesday for new comic book day. The staff there treats you like family. They are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, courteous. The store has a huge selection of comics, toys, statues, cards, etc. My 4 daughters absolutely love going here. This is the only comic book shop I go to.

Courteous, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Great selection, everything your inner geek or nerd my need, or want. Sand if they don’t have it the will get it! Ordered some superhero baby books that were very hard to find; within a week they had them for me. No extra charge!

I like Comic Book Jones, not love, but thoroughly like them.
My girlfriend and I are comic fans, and we make it a point to visit various stores within driving distance. Comic Book Jones is spacious (you never feel cramped), clean and well organized. They have a really great collection of trade paperbacks, no complaints as it’s one of the better collections in the area. Their new issues rack is comprehensive. Two areas in which they falter are rare issues — I saw what they had behind the counter and nothing tempted me (which is rare). Their statue collection was also a bit of a letdown, considering the rest of the store. It exists, and there is nothing particularly wrong with it, other than the fact it’s neither large nor particularly impressive.
These are nitpicking criticisms though, not major things.
There is one area of dispute being my girlfriend and I, namely the service. I found everyone who worked there to be helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. No complaints from me. My girlfriend by contrast felt that they were acting a bit snobby to her and treating her like she didn’t belong there. She was quite adamant in her opinion. As we split up when we enter most stores, I can’t really comment personally. Whatever happened though, she refuses to go back. I however would go back without her.

Positives –
1. From day one, I’ve never felt out of place here. Several years ago I decided to start collecting comics again and they helped me out, were always informative and great group of people! LOVE IT.
2. Always accurate on my list of comics I subscribe to. Have never had any issues in regards to that!
3. Atmosphere is AWESOME. I do lose track of time in here sometimes, but it is a warm welcome to break up my day.
Negatives –
1, My ONLY negative is they don’t have a huge selection of back issues. Some comic shops are known for this, others not so much. Also I’ll kinda clump this into it, the bins are SO hard to look through because they pack a ton of comics in so you really can’t «flip» through comics that easy.

When I walked into this place with my 6-​year-​old cousin, the first thing he said was, «Can I live here?» He loved it here and so did I.
It’s a great comic book store. They have a great selection of comic books and graphic novels. They also have a ton of Superhero and other geeky memorabilia. The guy working there was so nice! Apparently on Wednesdays everything in the store is 10% off. Since it was my first time there and I didn’t know about the Wednesday special he gave me 10% off my purchase even though I was there on a Friday.

Dont remember comic book shops lile this when i was growing up. Brought my 5 year old son there and found myself saying dont touch that over and over again. Staff was helpful. I think ill take him back there whens hes abit older

Not only should Comic Book Jones be the model for how a comic book store should run and sling books, but any business should take a course from CBJ on how to treat and interact with their customers. I cannot give this establishment enough praise and love. They’ve become my go-​to comic book store and have made collecting books and reading the stories enjoyable again. I love going there, my kiddo loves going there and I look forward to the on-​going relationship the shop and myself have established. They have great events and promotions on what seems like, a weekly basis. If you are into podcast, the guys there do one weekly where they discuss comics, comic book news, and all things geek.
Comic book writer and current Spider-​man writer Dan Slott said of CBJ in a tweet, «B4 I go, wanna give a shout out 2 @ComicBookJones, a retailer that engages their customers, has a fun vibe, and promotes stuff they like! :)» I couldn’t have said it better myself. If you are ever in the tri-​state area, make sure you stop in, have a cup of coffee, buy some books, and relax in the lounge.

I don’t really read Comice books but I was there just to chill out from the cold… Walked in saw the décor looked really awesome even though I don’t read Comice books, there’s like a place for u to like lounge on to chill and read a book the person that worked there was supper nice even though he knew I wasn’t there to get anything he had a warm welcoming smile

My absolute favorite comic book shop of all time ! They give u $ 5 comic book jones dollars with every 50 or $ 100 u spend (not sure wich) cool lounge area, awesome staff and the owner SOCK is a great guy. they have tailgate parties during any superhero type movie, wich means free drinks, free pizza and the let u roll dice to see if ur gonna get between 10%-70% off ur purchase of ANYTHING in the store ! I’ve been going to comic book shops regularly since 1997 and I’ve never been to a place like this

I’ve never even written a Unilocal review before but this store deserves my efforts. They are they best! I wish this store had existed when I was a kid. Not that I’m an adult (I use that term loosely) I don’t always have time to get to the store on Wednesdays when the new books come out. But thanks to these guys I never miss anything. They hold all my books for me and they have awesome sales. I cant say enough good things about this store.

Gotta root for the locals, right? As a comic book enthusiast, it’s a great little spot with a very nice selection of books, TPBs and a smattering of toys and apparel. The staff is always courteous and willing to lend a helping hand. The statue selection is a little small compared to other shops I’ve been to, but it beats a trip to Manhattan and you can’t beat their sales with a baseball bat.

Before visiting this store, I had not bought a comic for myself for over 20 years. I brought my two teenage sons to Comic Book Jones recently and it was a great experience. The staff (I’ve been «Waffle» & «Babyface») have been incredible. They are helpful, nice, and very well informed. I could not be happier with my experience with this store. I am now hooked on Comics!

I’m not a huge comic buff. But I do love Archie comics and I’m happy they sell them. The staff is friendly. They have a cute little lounge area to sit. They’re also constantly having sales which is nice. I’m happy it’s near my home!

I am an old comic collector from the 80’s and 90’s. Have been to many comic book stores in the city and this store in particular is one of the most inviting and comfortable one I have ever been to. The workers there are always happy and helpful. They have a full range of items for sell from toys to comics book for all ages. The kids their seem to enjoy being in the store. Comics encourages the kids to read which is a good thing. Brought my daughter their a couple of times and she liked it too. If you are a fan of comics visit this store at lest once.

honestly, comic book jones is one of the best comic book stores i have ever been
i bias to there vast array of comics from the mainstream to indie and obscure, that i usually have to order from other comic spots (evan dorkin, dame darcy)?? i think not. the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and courteous. awesome toy selection. i have never left disappointed, or without buying something even when i was «just browsing». i have been able to find gifts for 2 picky artist friends there, and my 5 year old loves the couches where she can pretend she is reading comics she cant understand. i wish i could live at comic book jones. dont waste your time in any other comic book shop. seriously.

Any place that offers you coffee and a couch to seat on just for browsing in the store is A ok in my book. This is a very cute store located in a very non-​artsy place of the Island. They have a huge collection of comic books, toys, and memorabilia. They tend to carry mostly new comics and not used ones. They do try to carry a lot of the series of a particular comic. They also carry a decent selection of Animé.
The staff is VERY friendly and really give you that homey feel when you go there. They let you browse ans answer any questions you have. They actually helped me pick out a gift for a friend (I ended up getting book 1 and 2 of Deathnote and the DVD too).

I wasn’t never big on comics but when Buffy Season 8 came out in comic book format, I converted fast. Thank the Whedonverse Gods that this comic book store opened in Staten Island. Saved me a trip to the comic book shops in Manhattan.
Awesome selection of comics and other cartoon paraphanelia. They also have a sitting area to relax in and ask the staff anything. They are totally knowledgeable.
Go in on Wednesdays since everything in the store is 10% off. They also have different events going on so sign up for to their email listserv.
FYI: Email the store your birthday info and they’ll send you a coupon for 30% off anything in the store when your bday rolls around!

This comic book shop has got me nerd-​gasming like a cos-​player at Comic-​Con.
Comic Book Jones has a very accessible and open layout, and a great laid back atmosphere, not the dungeon-​like feel that Jim Hanley’s Universe has (No disrespect).
There are places to sit, relax, have a cup o’ joe, read a couple of comic books and chit-​chat with the cool new friends you made.
And the Cast of characters at the store are all very knowledgeable and funny people.
I highly recommend you check this place out.
