Forest Dental

I have had two experiences at Forest Dental. The first was over 2 years ago when I needed a tooth removed and was referred to Dr. Kushner. He was honest, professional and the older woman assistant was nice, down to earth and caring. Not to mention precise. Overall a great experience. That was actually a 4 – 5 star experience that i really appreciated.
But here’s the bad.
Recalling the good experience I had with Dr Kushner, I recently I went there for a root canal. After calling and saying I was a patient of Dr. Kushner and how i’d like to see him again, they scheduled me without another word. I show up to my appt and I wait what was over an hour because someones wife botched up their appt. Fine. But after distinctly asking for Kushner, they didn’t tell me that they set me up with a new dentist that I had no prior knowledge of. Not cool. When I was upfront and asked about seeing Dr Kushner before I left, all i got was this:
«this doctor handles the root canals, Kushner does extractions and oral surgery. oh and btw root canals are only done on Mon, Tue and Weds». Fine, incredibly inconvenient but whatever, i’m a patient person. So I get this new guy dentist who awkwardly shakes my hand, not to mention he treated my questions and concerns as if I was questioning his professionalism. A bad start. Also the young girl assistant was unfriendly and had no life in her voice. Maybe a cold. So anyway I get a full jaw x-​ray and it’s sent to my insurance company electronically. After waiting 2 weeks dealing with my painful tooth, I get no call. I call and have the receptionist telling me to call my insurance company to get more info only to call and hear that they not received any requests. This cycle goes on for a week, calling my insurance a total 4 times. No request received and no correspondence from Forest Dental. I’m getting annoyed now. Then I call Forest Dental and I get nobody during actual business hours on Mon and Tues and i’m forwarded to the answering service. Still, no call back the next day. After not contacting them for a week, I realize i’m being rudely ignored. So, the main receptionist there accused me of accusing her of not sending the request. (A real winner jersey shore brawler type girl with a complex). So I show up randomly. She continues to give me this runaround that my insurance still hadn’t received the request (even though it was sent electronically) and that i’m being unreasonable (after 3 weeks of waiting).
Furious at this point, I approach her directly and tell her that she shouldn’t to be rude to patients. She fires back at me telling me i’m the rude and unreasonable one. so I lost my cool and said straight out that she is a rude and unprofessional snot and I have never been treated like this in a dental office. So THEN she comes out from behind her desk and gets 10″ from my face and says: «You don’t even know me! How dare you come to my place of work and disrespect me». She was ready to swing at me.
Too busy or not, people with a short fuse and the audacity to ignore a patients calls should not work in the medical field, period.
I get a call from Wisconsin. The decision came and I was not approved for the root canal. The other girl called me the next day to inform me of this and to ask what I wanted to do and when I said I was going to choose another dentist, she said «OK gbye» and quickly and rudely hung up the phone.
My new dentist took care of me with no hassle and charged me a lot less then Forest Dental quoted me for the root canal.
If you are covered under him, Kushner rocks as an oral surgeon. If you go here, keep limited communication with the girls up front and make sure it’s oral surgery that you need.

A great place to get your dental work done! Had a broken tooth for years was really nervous going in but the dentist calmed my nerves and made it really painless! Highly recommended! And fast!

Best dental experience I’ve ever had and I just had a wisdom and a molar Pulled. Dr. Kusher was unbelievable nice and sympathetic to the pain that brought me there. The receptionist Jillian was a total doll. I will be recommending my friends and family to Forest dental. For the first time I’m actually looking for was to going back and getting my teeth taking care of once and for all.

Do not go here. The staff and the oral surgeon are very unprofessional. They barely speak english. I went for a cleaning and the lay told me I need to get a root canal done. I have never had a root canal done before. So I asked her for the procedure and some basic information. She said that she was the dentist and she knows what she is doing. I never did the root canal there. I also met with the oral surgeon because I had really bad sores inside my mouth. I was dying in pain. He said that he cannot do anything about. He prescribed me extra strength tylenol. My mouth was bleeding and I could not even drink water. This place is horrible.
