Old school Chinese food! The pork fried rice is from my childhood. I will be craving the egg roll from now on!

There’s an A on the window and it’s clean inside. The food is the same menu in all other Chinese places. The quality is good and I give an A for taste and freshness. They have been at this location for a long time and must be doing something right. I’ve been here before and it’s reliable in almost all areas.

Too bad the quality is not good anymore. I ordered sushi delivered and it was spoiled. I used to order from here a lot but each time the food is worse sometimes uneatable. So beware. I called for delivery today out of desperation from being home sick. The man on the phone was so rude I ended up going elsewhere.

Your average mediocre generic American Chinese restaurant masquerading as a high end Chinese food establishment. You’ll basically pay extra for the same Chinese food you get anywhere else. They also serve sushi. The sushi they make are literally the most blend, tasteless sushi I’ve ever had. Very, very blend.

They are the worst below 4 stars. They get there orders wrong then take forever to bring you the correct order. Never ordering from them again.

Tried Fortune Hawaii for the first time after a friend from that neighborhood recommended it. Went in to order take-out. Very nice atmosphere, what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. We ordered the basics and a few entrees: egg rolls, boneless BBQ spare-ribs, steamed pork dumplings, chicken and broccoli, beef with snow peas, and roasted duck. I really enjoyed the egg rolls. They’re stuffed with both pork & shrimp and were nice and crispy, but not too greasy. The boneless spare ribs were nice strips of pork in a light Polynesian sauce. Chicken and broccoli was flavorful, as was the beef with snow peas. I do not eat duck, but was told it was delicious. Only thing I was not too crazy about were the dumplings. They’re small and the wanton is very thin. Their prices were reasonable and they gave you nice portions. Overall, I enjoyed their food and would definitely order from them again and try a few of their specialties. It is both Chinese/Japanese, offering a sushi bar as well.

Don’t even deserve a star here called twice, 2 different nights for delivery and it was a 20 min struggle with just getting the address across to them horrible greeting and way to bring in a customer will never call again!!!

This place sucks, very rude you ask for one thing and you get another. The manager yelled at me and insisted I was wrong. I told my order and it was all wrong when I got it, when I tried to correct the order the person insisted I was wrong. What the heck kind of a service is that?! Do not go to this place they are in over their heads and over priced and unprofessional on top of it all. They will argue with you until you give in. Don’t order here, your better off ordering from your local Chinese take out.

Solid Chinese food. Cant go wrong and the price is reasonable. Good food without the need to travel far. The place is clean and the waiter Richie is fantastic. You wont regret.

Have been eating here since I was a kid. It’s changed a lot since then, but it’s been pretty consistent(and that’s for over 20 years). Used to be just Chinese but now it’s got some Japanese and sushi and I guess some Hawaiian takes on things. This review is mostly for take out because we haven’t eaten in here for years, but it’s our go to chinese take away place(even after we moved further down the island). My fam usually orders the same stuff, but my mom is really picky and she loves this place. The good thing about them is they will usually do what you ask. I’ve asked for sushi rolls w/no seaweed and they do it. I’ve also asked for them to make a version of a veg general tso’s and they do that too. Sometimes they are super hard to understand(don’t know if they old man is still there but he’s the toughest to speak to). But they usually have Chinese American girls working the register and they speak English more fluently. There used to be a girl that was not so friendly working. Don’t mind her. There is a lovely girl who works there too, so hope she is there to help you. As for the food. Sushi is good. Fresh. Never been sick. Not very authentic Japanese sushi but what is on SI? The lo mein is a staple when we order. Egg rolls haven’t changed in years(they are frozen but fine). Dishes are pretty good. I know people complain about the prices but you get what you pay for. The food here is pretty solid.

The only place I can still give 5 stars. Why? I have been going there since 1990’s and the food still kicks serious behind. The staff here is immaculate. They might be a little thick on the accent but who cares as long as you understand and they are always friendly, always timely, and always accommodate. I came there with kids, elders, wife, parents, etc… The food? I can’t say anything about their added Japanese stuff but their Chinese dishes, the ones that have been on the menu for years are just awesome. They never skim on the meat and the seafood and the sauces really make it scrumptious. Their brown rice is the only place I know that does it right. I moved out of SI many years ago but still come here every chance I get.

I come to Fortune Hawaii with my brother and my friends often. The sushi is top quality and the all you can eat special is well worth the $ 22.95 /24.95(weekends). I’d personally recommend the Spider Roll and the Scallop sushi — both are top notch. The service is usually very good and the restaraunt is clean. I’d recommend Fortune Hawaii for all the Island sushi lovers(espicially the big-eaters that like the all u can eat)

I came here cos my friends brought me. The reason why I give it 4 stars cos the waiter was Chinese with his broken English brought us what I wanted cos I asked him in Chinese what a dish was and he replied back in Chinese that was exactly what I wanted. Normally at a Americanized Chinese restaurant cater to the American tastes. I asked for I think on the menu its called captain something something pork chops basically its Peking styled porkchops. I wanted my friends to try so I asked if there were at least 3 pieces he said there were aroundu 5 i thought that was weird but I was like idont care and ordered it. I ordered that and spicy tuna roll to share apparently my friends don’t eat spicy tuna rolls :-/…I was leaving to go back to l.a. that evening so the remaining Peking porkchops went to my friends which they loved yaaay…

Fortune Hawaii gets points from me because I can walk to it from my house. It’s got fun décor(think lots of fake flowers) and a genuinely cool fish tank. It’s the old-school kinda Chinese place where you can order«Polynesian» drinks. The food isn’t the best Chinese I’ve had; it can be a little hit-or-miss, but it’s definitely a step up from your typical hole-in-the-wall takeout joint. The Singapore Mai Fun I got there yesterday was genuinely delicious, and my guy thought his Beef with Broccoli was on point. No lunch specials on weekends is a little bit sad, but those points are currently gained back for their being open in the middle of Hurricane Mania.

This place has been around for a while. I ate here as a kid inside the restaurant but I’ve only had take-out when I was older. The food is decent. It’s pretty average and they messed up our take out order once and we had to wait 45 min for our food because the delivery guy accidentally took it. It’s an option, just not the best option.

A solid option for Chinese delivery, although they are a bit more pricey than I remember from my last visit. Delivery was quick, the food was hot, and their veggie dumplings were dyed the same unnatural shade of green I’ve come to expect. Oh and they’re combination plates are a great value with the inclusion of entrée+fried rice+ egg roll for around $ 9.

Hmmm good Chinese. Very fast delivery service or a good location to eat in at as well. The English can be difficult at times, but food is good and cheap.

What a tacky place. The Chinese lunch special is cheap like what you would get at a typical Carry-Out Chinese place. Too much soy sauce.

Chinese food, Japanese food(sort of), Hawaiian-inspired Food(but nothing authentic), and All you can eat Sushi specials. $ 19.95 it’s both eat-in and delivery, the set up is nice and adorable; sort of like a Hong Kong Bistro. the staff is very accommodating, swift, and on-point. they give very good reccommendations and never let your water glass be empty. i like that. can’t stand it when i have to snap my fingers at people to get me a dang refill nowadays. the menu is pretty eclectic… suitable for many palettes. something for everyone– i presume. from sushi to wontons to pineapple beef skewers called«Hawaiian Steak»(which is sooOoOoo mouth watering good). the steak is caramelized with natural pineapple juice… oh so satisfying– yet not enough comes in a plate.(2 for $ 3.45) the Pan Fried Noodles(Cantonese Style) is delicious… Chicken, Beef, or Shrimp & Veggies and gravy over lightly pan-fried crispy(but not too hard & crunchy) noodles. not those hard & crunchy stuff you buy in cans at the store, people! this is Canto/Hong Kong Style! lol. the sushi? not the best… but definately not bad. try the Dragon Roll and Staten Island Roll. probably my fav.‘s. but hey, it’s convenient and the exterior is beautiful… 2 floors, all glass, and you can see the inside as you walk/drive by. it’s only a block away from the beau’s place. yay.
