Gateway Animal Hospital

I left my dog here for two weeks boarding i came back to get him and it looked like they starved him! he loss soo much weight!!! I will never bring my dog here again for boarding. And on top of it they over charge and the staff can be rude!

Worst experience ever! The vet left my daughter in a room with a car that was dying. He was rise and unprofessional. He sucked is out of money and continues to so knowing he was terminal. I would not send anyone I know there. I would fine it zero stars if it was an option!

They are an older Veterinary practice (and the building reflects it) — but once you get past the older décor– the doctors are great. They are knowledgeable and caring. The support staff is friendly and helpful. Solid, great care.

Not one of the better vets I have seen. The Sunday vet was alright expect for the wrong dosage of medication she gave us, and the following day we waiting all day and final called a half hour before they closed for blood results. the doctor going over the blood work would not answer any questions barely went over anything with us and pushed us to his receptionist as fast as he could. We were over charged for services that were no given, they did fix that but after several days. There are better doctor out there who are willing to give the time of day. Staff is super friendly, but that is not a reason to stay with this type of service.

I brought my dog momo the other day because he was experiencing explosive diarrhea for the past three days. I was really worried and my friend recommended me to this hospital. I was greeted by great service, and the staff is so nice! After my dog came home, she was so much better and returned to her old self. Thanks and I will definitely come back if she gets explosive diarrhea again! (God forbid she doesn’t) :)

The only place I trust for my pets is Gateway. Jill and Dr Rosely are the greatest

Everyone there is so nice. from reception to the Doctors. Doctor Dodd loves animals and it shows. I have complete trust in him. Dr. Rosaly is excellent, as well. They listen, they handle even the most difficult of pet behavior with love and tenderness. My angels sometimes sprout horns, but they treat them so nice.

After adopting a rescue dog I was referred by more than one person to a larger practice on the South Shore. I ended up needing to make quite a few visits as we found a mast cell tumor which needed to be removed. Every doctor that we saw was nice and seemed competent, but that’s the problem — it seems like we saw every doctor in the place! I don’t think there was one vet who saw my dog more than once. Then when I asked for an estimate on the tumor removal surgery I had to jump through hoops just to get an actual $ amount.
That’s when I decided to call Gateway — which made me sorry I ever bothered with anyone else. Doreen was very helpful and patient with all of my questions and when we met Dr. Dodd for the first time I knew we’d made a good move. He is very kind and gentle with my dog, and will stay and answer any questions without making you feel like you’re wasting his time. He actually cares about what happens to her, and we get to see the same doctor every time so she’s not a new face to him.
We have not met Dr. Rosaly, but he too has been highly recommended by friends and neighbors.
I can’t say enough good things about Gateway, Dr. Dodd, and his entire staff. Highly recommended!!!
