Got my first tattoo her on MLK weekend with Chris. He did a great job and helped me understand the whole process. He was very accommodating and kept me relaxed the whole time. He answered all my questions and finished the tattoo in a reasonable time frame.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Worst tattoo shop ever. Worst experience. My tattoo scarred cuz Ted doesn’t know what he is doing. On top of that my other tattoo faded ALOT and it’s only been 3 months since I got it filled. Went back to the shop the second day when I realized the tattoo on my wrist wasn’t healing right and they basically just shoved me away. I went back one month after when it STILL wasn’t healed and obviously scarred and the guy told me its normal it just takes time. 2 months later my tattoo is healed and TERRIBLY SCARRED. I was charged like 200 dollars for a little thing on my wrist that is garbage. Now I have to pay 600 dollars for a cover up. I wish I could get my money back cuz this is just ridiculous. Every tattoo artist I show it too reacts the same way and says damn that’s really bad I thought inkstained is really good. I guess not. Stay away from this place or at least Ted. Bound for glory is the place to go.

Have to say I’m so glad I was introduced to this place by someone. Mike had to finish a piece I was not happy with at all. I wish I would have came here sooner. I can’t wait for my next appointment.
The shop is very clean and updated. They have comfortable seats for you while you’re in the chair. Great experienced Mike really listened to what I needed and added the right amount of femininity I needed. I will be finishing up with only Mike until everything else I want is complete. I found my shop on the island.

This is the best shop by far in the SI/​NJ area. Every artist in this shop is a great artist, each with their own specialty. It is a clean shop and a friendly shop, no attitudes here and they work with you so that you get exactly the tattoo that you want. Tim the shop manager is very helpful and will always steer you in the right direction.
I recommend that you do your homework, go on Facebook and Instagram and compare the Inkstained artists work to the other shops in the area and you will come to the realization that these guys art is just flat out better then everyone else. I often search the web and social media sites to see what other local artists are putting out, and it just doesnt compare to Mikee, Ted, Chris, Dan and Cris’ work… I highly recommend this shop.

I had my second tattoo experience here with Cris Gherman two days ago, and I will be going back at least twice more in the coming weeks. I booked and paid for three hours, but Cris and I spent much more time researching images and discussing the overall design. Though it is absolutely *your* tattoo, getting feedback from the artist is obviously important because they have experience figuring out what works on human skin and, of course, gauging what they as individuals can get to work. Cris didn’t mind spending a little extra time doing this.
As for the studio itself, everyone was really friendly and helpful, especially Tim at the front desk, who charged my phone, let Cris know I was there, and told me what was available to eat nearby. The rest of the guys seem to get along well, which makes for a nice relaxed atmosphere, which is important if you’re going to hang out in a place for five or six hours. Someone made a food run and asked if I wanted anything. This is an all around nice place.

Amazing artist! Ted did a Harliquin and Joker and it is unbelievable — I can’t believe he was able to tattoo so many tiny details — I am still amazed every time I look at it. I can’t wait for my next tattoo from Ted — and my husband is also going to get one from Ted — The shop is clean — everyone there is professional — After my next one with Ted — I than have to go back and get one from Mikee and Dan!

Wonderful experience at Inkstained. Mikee did a phenomenal job drawing up my tattoo and then bringing it to the canvas of my body. Check out my O’Sullivan family crest on their facebook page. It is by far my favorite tattoo and I highly recommend these guys!
