Today is my son’s first birthday and I’m not so sure he would be celebrating it had it not been for Dr. Sanfilippo. I’m not sure what anyone below a five star rating has experienced, but I only receieved top notch care, understanding and thorough review on my specific pregnancy case. The thing I received more from Dr. Sanfilippo than any other doctor I’ve ever seen or met (and I work in the health and wellness industry) was personal attention, genuine care for me as a patient and my unborn child as a person.
If you had to wait, sorry… but it was to see the best.
I’ll celebrate Dr. Sanfilippo every year my son is alive… and his terrific staff.

What can I say about Dr. Sanfilippo? For the past several years my husband and I have been trying to conceive and have had two early miscarriages and have not yet been able to carry a baby to full term. Dr. Sanfilippo has been a lifesaver for us. He is thorough and goes above and beyond to get to the bottom of your problems and find the cause. When other doctors have told me on our journey that «we are young, it will happen» or «everyone has a miscarriage or two» or «wait a couple of months and try again it will happen» Dr Sanfilippo never gave up. He was the doctor that on my first miscarriage found out that I was casein and gluten sensitive and that I have PCOS and an underlying thyroid problem. I was able to balance that out with diet, exercise and supplements and not be on synthetic medications. When I was able to conceive for my second pregnancy he gave me blood tests almost daily to check my levels and caught that my progesterone was dropping and again supplemented me with progesterone in an attempt to keep the pregnancy. Unfortunately that pregnancy failed but Dr Sanfilippo was so upset for my husband and I that we had to go through another loss that he personally left his office and walked me down to the lab for repeat labs to check my levels again. He sent me for blood work, namely Karyotyping, that discovered that I have an expression called Mosaicism that is causing the early miscarriages, the PCOS, and the thyroid issues. Other doctors are «supposed» to wait until a third miscarriage to do those tests. Thankfully, Dr. Sanfilippo did them earlier because if I did become pregnant again for the third time that my regular OB/​GYN suggested almost immediately and the baby was carried to term it could have been born with numerous birth defects. Now my husband and I, under Dr Sanfilippo’s guidance, are on our path of IVF together. Just this week, Dr. Sanfilippo called me when I haven’t seen him in months to update me on something that he learned in a conference about Mosaicism. He was calling another doctor on my behalf to get more information for me so that when I do start my fertility treatments I am in the best health possible.
His sonographer Deb is one of the best I have ever encountered. She is thorough and smart and really cares about the health of her patients and their unborn babies. She sat and held my hand and let me cry with her when I experienced my miscarriages. Dr. Sanfilippo’s office staff came out to the car or the stairwell for me when it was too painful to be in his office with other women that were pregnant. I have used several of his recommended Doctors for other visits and when I go see them Dr Sanfilippo has personally called that doctor before to discuss my case with them. On several occasions the doctor, during my visit, would have a question for Dr. Sanfilippo and they would call him on his cell phone or in the office and he would get on the phone immediately to discuss my case with the doctor while I was in my visit. How many doctors do you know today that do that? Does Dr. Sanfilippo give you all of the resources and information that he has available for you? Absolutely! Is it overwhelming? Oh yes. But I have come to realize that Dr Sanfilippo has his patient’s best interests at heart and is going above and beyond for his patients. Is there a long wait in his office? Yes. But when you have an emergency situation like I did, he never turned me away when I needed him. When you wait in his office, you are waiting for him. No Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners. Just Dr. Sanfilippo who will sit and answer any and all of your questions. For me, coming from someone who has a strong knowledge in vitamins, supplements and holistic treatment, Dr. Sanfilippo’s encouragement of an organic lifestyle with supplements and holistic suggestions is right up my alley. For some it may be too much or too overwhelming. I have sent many friends and colleagues to Dr. Sanfilippo and they all have the same experience and love him. Dr Sanfilippo is worth his weight in gold. I don’t know where I would be without him!

The wait was over 2 hours. Needed to return for another consultation because there wasn’t enough time to discuss matter (I had to leave due to prior commitments). Upon return 5 weeks later (couldn’t get sooner appointment and I fell ill), I was told I was doing a DISERVICE to my live child for not giving a holistic treatment for my child’s special needs. I was being judged on my live child for hopes of conceiving another. Most of the visit was about my live child and how I should try a natural approach and try his friend for a new pediatrician. Totally judgmental and questioned my parenting. But o wasn’t bothered by his unprofessional approach … I felt the obligation to share this information. He got defensive with me when I questioned if a copy could be sent to my regular obgyn. Then he tried to sell me his vitamins. I was also told that I need to be patient and wait as long as it takes for future appointments. Quite impossible to wait 2 hours each visit when you have other children and consultations begin at 12 and you need to pick uo children from school. This is my experience and I would never return. I didn’t react and got the scripts I needed… Never to return. Good Luck. After reading the reviews, you either like the office or you don’t. I felt like I was dealing with 2 different people in the office.

Dr Sanfilipo is an amazing doctor and I would recommend him to anyone. He is compassionate, caring, and very knowledgeable.
