My grandmother was here for 2 weeks! The doctors and nurses were so attentive! It has been a very hard time for my family and the staff(even down to the young man cleaning) took the time to make sure we were ok!

I had to go there last night. Everyone that works here is wonderful. From officer Pagan the security guard to the wonderful nurses and doctors that helped take care of my son from the overnight staff. Thank you so much.

I have never been treated with such neglect in my entire life! I drove my child to the nearest ER(staten island south). She was having an acute asthma exacerbation, her pulse was only at an 86%. She wasn’t responding to Her nebulizer treatments at home, nor was she responding to oral prednisone. The hospital staff seemed to have brushed us off, didn’t give my child a treatment until after waiting 2 hours, and then discharged us saying she will be fine! Her oxygen was now up to an 88% when we were all cleared by the doctor whom didn’t even see us. I had to use my better judgement and bring my child to the north site, there she was admitted for 4 days. How the south site still manages to be open for business is way beyond me. I will make sure to spread the word for people to NEVER go to Staten Island south. I could over hear the doctor or PA discussing narcotic prescriptions with someone who had back pain all their life. They treated a chronic back pain patient before they treated an emergency! It is an emergency room! Send the junkies away and treat your priorities first!

I was an outpatient here for the removal of painful soft-tissue lesion on my inner right ankle/heel. From the moment I went to the admitting office until I walked out of the hospital, the quality of care that I received was exemplary. ALL of the nurses and doctors were so nice and courteous toward me. They truly cared about my overall well-being, privacy, and comfort prior, during, and, immediately following my procedure. They insured that the surgery was going to be performed on the correct body part by asking me to verify my identity and what I was there for. I remember being very scared right before it, and trembling. But I soon fell asleep and did not feel a thing during the surgery. I even dreamed. Next thing I remembered was waking up in recovery groggy. The nurse there gave me something for the pain and when I was ready, my family came to see me. When I felt O.K. to leave, I got dressed and was able to walk out(on crutches.) Great hospital.(And I normally hate hospitals.)
