It’s because of these guys that I’ve learned to change my own brakes OR seek out more competant help.
I needed front brakes for my car. The quote was, get this, $ 550 for front brakes and rotors. Now I know I can pick up brake pads and rotors at any auto parts store for $ 60 so I knew these jerkoffs were padding the bill. I stated that I did’nt need rotors and the price was too high. After haggling for a fair price of $ 300 (still high, but I figured that’s a standard price) I approved the work. Big mistake!
WIthin a month the rotors had warped and the pads were scored.
Instaed of using the parts I specified, they used the cheapest shit Kmart sells. I made them fix it or I was reporting them to the BBB.
I hate auto repair shops, I think they are crooks who prey upon the ignorant public because they can. Or think they can.
