You can choose from the 18 different beers on tap, one of the over 25 bottle beers or a variety of mixed drinks from the bar, including some of our own specialty drinks. The food menu has something for everyone featuring appetizers, fresh salads and homemade soups, over 15 types of burgers, specialty pizzas, pastas, open faced platters, a wide variety of sandwich’s and wraps… and even a kids menu. Oh yeah, and don’t forget your favorite game on our large flat screen televisions.

The Beer Garden is a local bar in the Westerleigh section of Staten Island, NY. It was opened in 2002 and originally owned and operated by a Staten Island native, Jerry Poyntz

His version of a beer garden came from his Aunt Lil. When Jerry was in his early teens, he would call looking for his cousin, Sean. He was told he wasn’t home and that he was probably at the beer garden. Jerry was a mere fifteen years old, and didn’t have even the slightest idea what a beer garden could have meant. When his Aunt’s laughter ceased, she then explained that it was the local bar down the street.

Although his aunt’s version of a beer garden was different from that of an authentic bier garten, her version was the one engrained in him, and therefore what he would name his bar should his dream of ownership become a reality.
