Established in 2011.

MiddleRidge Opened as a bed and breakfast in July of 2011 and has maintained high standards for hospitality since. The country setting with wonderful views and comfortable decks offer a perfect setting for relaxation. We serve a country style breakfast each morning.

Excellent from beginning to end: super nice hosts, beautiful house, amazing porch, nice room, best bed I’ve stayed on away from home, gorgeous land, fun indoor heated pool with towels, cute parlor with gas fireplace, library with books and games, good proximity to Staunton, varied and *complete* breakfast.
They went above and beyond: accomodated my husband’s gluten allergy, gave my kid afternoon snack when we arrived, left out homemade cookies (both regular and gluten-​free) next to the coffee-​maker when we came back from dinner.
The quality of the breakfast bears restating: coffee, orange juice, omelettes to order, pancakes (gluten-​free and normal), warm fruit compote, hashbrowns, yogurt parfait, fresh muffins (gluten-​free and regular), apple butter. It was endless.

We stayed at MiddleRidge during a recent weekend getaway to see a show at the beautiful Blackfriar theater in Staunton. Our hosts were perfect– generous and friendly without being at all intrusive, and they truly saw to our every need and beyond. Their home is beautiful and tastefully decorated, and the location is beautiful– we loved hanging out with their four dogs outside on the enormous grassy property. The breakfasts were delicious and we were consistently served far more than we could eat, and Sue had something extra prepared for us each day, whether it was a home-​baked dessert or a box of chocolates. There was even a small indoor pool that we were welcomed to take advantage of, as well as a very small gym. MiddleRidge really felt like a home away from home in the best way possible, and is a gem that I hope to return to in the great little town of Staunton.
