Description
Small Batch Craft Brewery and Taproom.
Taproom seating for 40+ in the heart of historic downtown Staunton.
6 – 8 of our beers available on draft, sit down and have a pint or get a growler to go. No Food service or other alcoholic beverages. We encourage guests to bring a snack from home or get something to go from one of the fine nearby restaurants.
History
Established in 2010.
Specializing in small batches of big beers. We are located at 120 S Lewis Street in the Wharf district of Staunton VA. Our «Brewers Notice», the federal license to produce beer, was approved by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau in Feb. 2013. We began making capital improvements to the leased space and assembling our equipment in October 2012. Our opening brewhouse size will be ~1.5 barrels (45+/- gallons), and we will have a total fermentation capability of ~20 barrels (600 gallons +/-). Each batch will be hand crafted by one person beginning to end, using ancient techniques but (moderately) modern equipment. Redbeard is a family owned business.
Our beers will be available at the Brewery Taproom only. Wholesale distribution will not begin until 2014, at the earliest. Our Taproom will typically have 6 – 8 beers on tap, and a few cellared bottles available. You’ll be able to sit down and enjoy a few pints, or take a growler to go. The Taproom will seat approximately 40 people.
