I’d love to give this place more stars, but the rooms smell awful. We checked in last night late and the room reeked of old stale cigarettes. That gagged me. THEN we turned on the air conditioning. The smell of wet large-breed dog kinda put me over the edge. Ugh.

Stayed here for our niece’s wedding… nice. Not perfect but not bad either. I have most certainly stayed in worse places. Nice, average, and clean. Small fitness area. Outdoor small, pool. Convenient to Winchester and Shenandoah, right off I-81. They give you a Wi-Fi code at check in although we did not use it. Small coffee pots in the room and fridges(always a positive). Oh, & from the hubby, awesome cable:).

We are bringing a 13 myths old baby and they insist to give us a smoking room. My baby was coughing and had running nose can’t sleep all night. What a nice hotel. wILL NEVERCOMEBACK. Worst hotel experience ever

Stinks like a smokey bar. We are in a non smoking room too. Awful. Nice staff at the front desk. Filthy room. They put a king sheet on a double bed. Holiday inn should close this one down.

We stopped at this Holiday Inn coming back from our Thanksgiving trip. It was a horrible mistake, and costly($ 114!). Allow me to give props to the front desk staff. While this is a negative review, the staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. They seemed energetic and willing to help, even at 2:00am when we arrived. Now to the problems: the room. While it looks like, the bedding situation is a mess. The pillows are half the size of a regular pillow, and the unreasonably stiff. Having a comfortable bed is «must have» in a hotel room(hell, that’s kind of the point) but, 3 hours later when you’re still awake, tossing and turning, stacking dwarf pillows on top of each other trying get comfortable… yeah, no. The air conditioner/heater in the room barely worked and had two settings. Uncomfrotable and Mr. Freeze. Add to that, all we could hear was the banging and slamming of doors all night long. While I know it’s not the fault of the hotel if people are load, the hallway amplified the sound making everything far, far worse. And after 3 hours of pillow tetris, loud noises don’t help the situation. The final straw for me was the bathroom had some serious issues. The shower curtain didn’t fit the shower, ensuring water ended up all over the floor(and anything ON said floor). A moat was not advertised on the Holiday Inn’s site. The toilet was filthy, with the entire bottom rim of the lid caked with a suspect brown stain. Cleaning is not a bad thing. Not a good stay.

My husband and I have been using this hotel for the past 5 years. We come here on little get away weekends because it it so close to home. It is in the process of an update, but even the un updated rooms are great. We always get the king executive suite, and have NEVER been disappointed. The staff is always quick to help out in anyway possible, and the Cinnamon Rolls at Breakfast are too Die for! If you are in the Stephens City Area… Do stop in, you won’t regret it.

I stayed here one night because it was close to home, as our bathroom was being remodeled, we did not have a shower or toilet, and I had a job interview the next day(!). Depsite these stressors, I was able to relax for a bit and get a good night’s sleep. We booked a room on a smoking floor because it was available but when we got there, the smell of smoke was so strong, we requested to move to a non-smoking floor. They were able to do this immediately. The staff was courteous and did not seem annoyed with our request. The bathroom looked to be updated with a nice big tub. We received a discount for some local restaurants, which we took advantage of, and were able to postpone our check-out time. Not the fanciest hotel in the world but the staff was so nice.
