Bed Bath & Beyond

My fiancé and I registered here a few months back. The younger girl at the registry counter was super helpful even though we didn’t really need her help. We already knew what we were there to register for (I had our list!). Our shower was last weekend, and of course we got doubles and triples of things. We went back this weekend to exchange and return items. The lady at the return counter was so nice! I was just imagining what the employees were going to think with us bringing 2 full shopping carts of items back, but this lady had no problem with anything. She even helped us pick out a new wine cooler since the one we received was damaged. After we received our credit gift card we headed to the back to print our registry, the younger girl was there again to help us. She promptly printed our list and off shopping we went. We couldn’t locate some of the items we registered for — maybe they are discontinued now, but were available online only. We went back tot he registry counter and placed the order for those items. After about an hour of walking around the store we went to check out. No problems there either with as much as we were buying! Overall just a smooth trip to BBB. It could have been worse, but wasn’t :-)

This store is like a toy store for adults I usually go in to grab somthing new to try on my grill or kitchen end up buying bunch stuff that I had no clue even existed! N all the food snacks are awesome!

Very good customer service. They were so patient with us while we made decisions on our purchase. The gal looked up all of the information for us and arranged it so w could bring our coupon back for the discount. And we got free delivery. I am not crazy about the location of this store but they do a great job.

I came here today to purchase a few kitchen supplies since I was in the area, but quickly got distracted, as they have a HUGE section of beer, wine, cider, and «world» goodies! The Troy one I usually go to doesn’t have any of that, though I’ve been informed that the Orchard Lake Rd. one in WB/​Farmington (my alternate one) does now have it.
Their Angry Orchard selection was huge and like $ 7.99 for a 6-​pack, which I’m pretty sure is cheaper than Meijer. Never thought I’d say I’d go to BB&B for alcohol, but if it’s cheaper, why not! (though unfortunately you can’t use the 20% off coupon on alcohol — there was a sign up that said that)
I ended up w/​a new fry pan, and some Japanese gummies that I used to buy in Chinatown (NYC) — $ 3.99 for one which is a little pricey ($ 3.20 with coupon) but another, a variety pack, was marked down to $ 1.99 ($ 1.60 w/​coupon) for some reason.
I will DEFINITELY be back here when in the area! They also have beauty/​facial care stuff so I was able to get my usual face wash — and what’s interesting is that they are $ 1 cheaper than Walmart has it ($ 3.99 vs. $ 4.99) and then it was $ 3.20 with the coupon. Great deal.

We headed out to use gift cards on Sunday… and Bed Bath and Beyonce Bodyworks was one of them (I always get the two stores tongue tied –Bath and Bodyworks and the BB&B) and they really do take the BEYOND part to the extreme. I’m not sure I like it that much either… really…I don’t need to be buying tampons at BB&B!
World Market, fine I’ll give you that one… but the whole drug store aspect of this store is too much… I mean the store is already an enormous CLUSTER F*$%!! Why add the dumb Bu!!$hit to it!
So of course, being the shopper extraordinaire that I am NOT, I got what I needed to get and got the fugg out!
Mass consumerism at it’s finest if you ask me. More and more KraP we do not need!
With my coupons, my new iron and immersion blender were around the price of my gift card, so I was essentially a happy customer.
Oh and the employees! I thought the check out girls lips would crack if she smiled, so I let that one go… roll eyes!
I would only go here, and I do, when I need something, for my BED or BATH… I’ll skip the beyond…

I wanted to review about their wedding registry and give the warning to STAY AWAY!
As far as the store itself and the products they have plus the new food/​booze section, it is pretty good. This store as well is one of the bigger BBB that I have been in. However, if you are a bride or groom and need to register at BBB please go to another location.
My fiancé and I picked this location out of convenience on where we lived and thought that all BBB would be the same. NOPE!
We walked to the back where the wedding registry is at and it was busy with other brides/​grooms needing help. I made sure to bring a checklist of items that we would need on the registry; well bringing that checklist was a big mistake…
Any who one of the staff finally helped us and she wasn’t any older than maybe 21? She took down our information into the system and saw my list and snatched it. She put it on her clipboard and that was the last I saw my list. She then took us around and initially was scanning things for us. That got old real quick and my fiancé and I snatched the scanner and scanned ourselves.
I thought that this worker was only going to walk around with us to help with the plates we wanted and flatware. Nope, wrong. We were there for 3 – 4 hours and she didn’t leave our side once.
She controlled my list and had us follow her around the whole store. She pushed more products over others and gave «recommendations». However, she mentioned how she lives with her mom? How does someone genuinely push products and make recommendations when you do not even have your own home? We honestly didn’t feel like this young 20 something girl genuinely cared about our life style and the items we wanted. Instead, of letting us wander around section by section and scan other things that were not on our lists, she strictly stuck to the list I brought. My fiancé would take the scanner and almost sneak in items we wanted because this girl was so on about this list.
She wasn’t friendly and didn’t seem to want to get to know us as a couple and the products that would make the most sense to us, but rather put as much crap possible on our list. After our showers we realized half the crap she wanted us to scan was something we didn’t need and we made many trips back to return these products. She kept saying things like, oh might as well register for it, why not register for it, it is like free money, it is the only time you can ask for one of these.
Afterwards we weren’t even done with everything we wanted. We then went to a BBB in Grand Rapids and Auburn Hills. We had an amazing experience at both places! The worker just handed us the scanner and said have fun! No questions asked, no having to follow the worker around like a lost puppy. Instead my fiancé and I got to enjoy being alone together and scanning for things we actually needed.
Ps. BBB does have a great return/​exchange policy! So all the gifts that we didn’t want were taking back with no question. Had to try to end on a positive, but that is just BBB policy!

Okay, I cannot say that I didn’t like this store to begin with, but this particular store on Hall Road has become the first of its kind here in Michigan. They now sell BEER and WINE. I mean how freaking awesome is that? Check out the pictures and see just the small selection that I was able to take a picture of.
Also, they now carry a full selection of bath products such as hair care products, deodorant, and a lot more than the normal Bed Bath and Beyonds.
Very excited to see this transformation, and I cannot wait to see how things continue!

Coming here isn’t so dreadful for husbands anymore. Why? Because they have a huge craft beer selection that’s why! What what?! Craft brews at a Bed Bath and & Beyond now? Now it’s me asking the wife if she wants to come here. Oh how the tables have turned. In case you’re wondering fellas (and wine/​beer loving ladies), the prices are very fair. I wonder if I can use the coupons on the beer?
BTW, although there are liquor stores with better selections, I am giving this place 5 stars because it’s good enough with the added bonus of making my trips here with the Mrs. worth while.

picking up a «Chill Towel» for the bride, and have not been here in a while.
It is going through major renovations, adding a pharmacy & a Cost Plus Market which they just bought.
The store is pretty chaotic as we speak, but the end result will be great .
PS: left my 20% card at home, they would not budge at all, but told me to come by with the card anytime & a receipt & they would make an adjustment hmm

Good selection. Best prices but you must be an informed shopper. Also, always go with a 20% off coupon.
The service here is great. There’s always someone to help. Very rarely do you hear «this is not my department».

Anytime you need anything from home stuffs to gift ideas, this is the best place. They always have sale and discounts. Not to mention friendly helpful staffs.
