I very much enjoyed my massage that I had. The therapist took into account all my concerns. The office was quiet and clean. Will definitely consider them next time I need a massagr.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My mom and I both have been going here for years and we have never had a therapist we haven’t been thrilled with. My mom has fibromyalgia and I have scoliosis and rotated vertebrae causing my muscles in my back and neck to be extremely irritated most of the time. Gosia has literally put me back together– she is beyond amazing.
The front desk staff is always pleasant and helpful. You relax as soon as you walk in the door with the calm lighting, smell and complimentary tea while you wait. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes for my therapist and I have never left wanting more. I have had multiple therapists call me the next day to check up on me. They truly care about there clientele and it shows.
I would recommend (and have!) to anyone looking for any type of massage– relaxation, therapeutic. Whatever your needs, they are truly phenomenal at what they do!

Overall, the center is a great place to go for massages and facials. I highly recommend Kera for the facial — she provides a totally relaxing and rejuvenating experience. So far, I’ve had 3 relaxation massages — with Kim, Gosha and Chris. My favorite one so far has been Kim — I liked her style and her way of doing the massage the best, and I felt the most comfortable with her. This place has a nice staff, inviting atmosphere and it always smells awesome there.

Beyond 5 star massages, they always have a class or two of interest, plus it is a massage school with huge discounted rates if you give a student a chance to hone there craft.

Although I have been the benefactor of many of her massages, this may have been the best ever.
Each & every time she brings one or two new manipulations, words cannot even begin to describe how she maneuvers your legs, arms and hips & get them to open in new ways each time.
This visit she grabbed each leg independently and moved-​rotated-​adjusted and brought it entirely across my body opening up things that I did not know would open .
My back… oh my back, one of her many signature moves is while your laying on your back, she gets under it with both of her arms, hands, knuckles and uses the weight of your own body to unknot & break down the fibers .
The new location is super quiet, larger & yet quite comfy.
Gosia 50 minutes was wonderful… but just a good start.

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and have had many, many massages, but have never been able to find a therapist that would make me want to keep coming back. I found this facility on Unilocal,went on their website, and found that they had a new client special. Even though they were pricier than the other facilities I have been to, I thought I would give it a try. I received a therapeutic massage with Carla and she was amazing! Their massages are only 50 minutes, I usually get 60 or 90, but it felt like it was so much longer! I am going for my 2^nd appointment today with Carla and I cannot wait!

After having a not so great massage at my regular place the day before I decided to give a call to The Center for Healing Arts at the suggestion of a friend. I’m left wondering how I didn’t find this place sooner.
I’ll preface my review with the fact that my mom is a massage therapist and I have pretty high standards. I know the difference in techniques (Swedish, deep tissue, sports, lymphatic etc.) and I know when a therapist is experienced enough to be in tune with your body.
My appointment was with Gosia who is small but mighty. I enjoyed her no nonsense attitude and her desire to help your problem areas. She explains her approach, inquires about the pressure and doesn’t miss a knot. While her technique is very different than other therapists I have seen she was certainly effective. Following my appointment we chatted regarding the importance of water intake and lymphatic drainage and she does indeed know her stuff.
I observed the interactions of many of the other therapists and clients and it appears that have a well trained staff on board here. Additionally, they have a training program where you can receive a massage from a student at a discounted rate. Overall, an enjoyable massage and atmosphere.

This was my first experience getting a massage here, however I have been getting massage monthly for the past 2 years. I decided to try one of their student therapists. Christine was very good for being a student still. A couple things I would have liked differently but I’m sure that will come with experience. Overall her massage was very relaxing and I would consider trying her again.
The main thing that turned me off was the receptionist. She didn’t seem very experienced or professional. She walked up to the desk to check me in while eating a candy bar and she gave the impression that she didn’t want to be there. Upon checking out while talking to me she picked up the phone and carried on a conversation with the person on the phone and was not able to further assist me. I felt that was rude considering this was my first time there and had some questions. When I was able to ask questions like where was the restroom, she answered in a way as if I should already know. She seemed very scattered and made the experience for me turn into a 3 star instead of 4 or 5. Also it would have been nice to know that you could not tip on a card. Not many people carry cash. I felt bad I could not tip my therapist.

I have seen several different therapists and have rarely been disappointed. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing. All the staff is extremely friendly and professional. The place is very clean (and I’m a bit of a germaphobe so that’s really saying something). I highly recommend it to everyone!

Had a great therapeutic massage with Carla today. She worked on my head and neck and gave me some needed relief. I’m really not much of a massage person as it is a very personal experience, but Carla made me very comfortable and did a very thorough intense massage. Price was reasonable and the relief I experienced was tremendous. The gal at the desk (I didn’t get her name) was very personable and informative. It was a great experience. I made appointments for myself to return and see Carla and my husband too. Definitely a great place for a quality message. Not just pampering fluff and aromatherapy. Really talented hands at work.:)

I have been a huge fan of the Center for the Healing arts for a while now… Is a very unique place where they have multiple people that are able to provide massage services and other healthy services to make sure that your body is in tip top shape. I would highly suggest checking out their website and taking advantage of their discounted massage prices.
If there would only be one small thing I would complain about is that the prices for the massages do seem to be a little higher than normal… but, I guess that is how it is in the massage world. I have had a many massages there, and however, I’m still waiting to find that one masseuse that turns me into a puddle to help me melt when I need it the most.

Awesome massage with Chris! He paid attention to the problem areas we discussed prior to the massage. He was all about customer service and I will see him again next month. Nice and friendly staff… Very nice office. Will be back! My husband also loved his massage with Stephanie N and he too will be back. Great place.

This is my second visit to Center for the Healing Arts. I cannot wait to go again!
The business moved this week from Van Dyke to Mound Rd just south of 17 mile. I give them a lot of credit for the appearance because you would have never known that they recently moved.
This was my second relaxation massage. Before each session I was asked about any troublesome areas. Before my massage last year I was experiencing cramping in my legs while sleeping. Because of this issue my t-​band was a focus during the session. Stephanie did a wonderful job working on this problem area. It wasn’t until the recent weeks leading up to today that the cramping returned.
Tammy did a fabulous job working on the areas that I specified today. The leg cramping was discussed beforehand as well as the soreness in my calves due to wearing high heals at a wedding that I attended over the weekend. Dancing at the wedding also contributed to my aches and pains. Tammy took care of these as well.
The atmosphere of the facility is very calm and warming. The colors and décor are very soothing. The massage room was very open so those that may suffer from claustrophobia will feel at ease. The last location for the Center of the Healing Arts was a little more confined and tight for space. The music played during the massage was very relaxing. The table/​bed was very comfortable and the warmer made it feel like you were laying on a cloud of soft cotton. I wish I had one to sleep on every night!
I am so glad that my sister told me about this place and I cannot wait to go back! I would recommend this to anyone and it would make a great gift because they do have many gift card options.

Purchased a Groupon about a month ago and finally made my appointment for a massage and acupressure facial. I have to say, Stephanie gave me the BEST massage I have ever had. My facial… my first… was awesome! Can’t wait to go back and visit Stephanie again.

Let me start out by saying its a little awkward at first but Diane explains everything in such detail. After being there about an hour I left feeling so much better, energized, and not bloated!
Overall if you are considering doing the cleanse DO IT! It will be the best $ 60 investment.

My mom turned me onto this hidden gem north of Detroit and practically in the middle of nowhere.
My first visit I saw Chris. When I got there I was a little achey having taken the Amtrak in. So my body was in need. His manner is excellent, with a very good sense of what you need. In other words: body therapy, not just a massage. Which is what I needed.
Since then I have seen other therapists and eveyone is very good at what they do. Whomever does the hiring obviously does so very carefully. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet (you are politely reminded to stay off your phone and take this time for yourself).
The rates, too, are very reasonable, averaging about $ 1 a minute. They have a huge range of services as well. I have my punch card and visit often when I can. And, if you’re bored, you can shop in the front lobby — they have a small selection of organics.

This is a total body wellness center offering many different alternative health treatments. The waiting area has plants, waterfalls, multiple teas and a retail area. It’s a very serene environment. I’ve had colonics and massage here and have broken the review into sections.
Colonics: A friend referred me here a couple of years ago for colonics back when it was all the rage. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the staff. I must admit my first colonic was terrifying but the woman running the machine made it seem like no big deal. She gave me a reflexology massage and aromatherapy to calm me down while I was lying on the table. We even chatted about nutrition and stress and how it affects the body. I left there feeling lighter and more informed about my digestive issues. I’ve been back once or twice a year since with various providers, all of whom are wonderful, and it’s kept me healthy and feeling great. I no longer get sick AT ALL in the winter.
Massage: I try to get massages once a month paycheck permitting. This place is at the higher end of my price range so I’ve only had a few. Some have been great, others lackluster. I tore/​strained a hamstring last year and wanted to get a good deep tissue pounding to break up the scar tissue formation. The first female masseuse I booked with barely touched the area I was concerned with and I left very disappointed. I did call back and spoke with the manager Mary who offered me a discount if I returned. She took care of the area expertly. I recommend booking with her or the male masseuse from New Jersey (?) if you need deep tissue.
