Coffee Bean Plus

This place is great! I like it much better than Starbucks. It’s well worth the wait. You can taste the love!

My sister raved about this place last week so I thought I’d give it a try today! Boy, I was impressed! Overly impressed! When I’m at the mall and need something to quench my thirst I often times go to Surf City Squeeze (which is next door) or Starbucks at Macy’s. Not anymore! Coffee Bean Plus blew me away!
I’ve been going to Lakeside Mall for many years and I’ve never really noticed anyone in this particular coffee joint before (wasn’t it different place before?!) I walked in after doing some shopping and being completely drained from a long day. I needed an afternoon pick me up! The kind girl working was playing on her phone when I walked in (I can’t blame her. The place itself had no one in it!) but quickly made her way to help me. I mentioned I’d never been there before and she was happy to assist me with questions on what I’d like and prefer. I’ve never been asked that before (what a bonus!) At other places, most people just tell me what their most popular drink is and assume I want that but not at this place! She asked me if I wanted a cold or hot drink, one with expresso, iced or blended, etc. I decided on the Toasted Almond Frappresso, which tasted just like like my favorite childhood ice cream, Toasted Almond by Good Humor.
Within a few minutes I was devouring what may be my new favorite coffee drink and left with a smile on my face. Coffee Bean Plus, you’re doing it right! As for everything else I imagine that can whip you up just about anything you can imagine. Enjoy a book or play a board game (Trust me, playing Candy Land that they had available was tempting!) and get lost with your company. Coffee Bean Plus is welcoming with kind faces and wonderful people!

Clean, friendly environment with amazing coffee concoctions! The owners are extremely friendly, and they take great pride in how good the coffee is. I highly recommend it,

My boyfriend and I stopped in last Saturday evening while window shopping around the Mall.
While I wasn’t exactly in a coffee mood, my boyfriend wanted something to drink and a nice relaxing place to chill out for awhile.
We opted to split a hazelnut frappresso. Most cold drinks are 16oz and 20oz. The frappresso was blended perfectly, which is what we really loved. Nice and smooth and no chunks of ice. Blended perfectly! We were asked if we wanted whipped cream instead of just putting it on it without asking.
Lots of flavors and drinks to choose from, not to mention a freestyle coca cola machine.
While sitting down I noticed a stack of board games and card games to choose from. We ended up sitting and playing Uno for over an hour just enjoying ourselves. Very peaceful.
Definitely will be returning next time we are at Lakeside.

Such a great place! Stopped in today for the first time since the new shop opened, and the owners were soooo friendly, made seriously the best blended coffee I’ve had (with Nutella!!) and helped me with picking out a coffee for my stepdad for Christmas. This is such a wonderful step up from the insincerity/​in-​and-​out feel of Starbucks.

When I shop at Lakeside, I stop here and buy a black and white latte. It is my favorite drink there.

coffee is ok but oh my god the workers are SLOW!!!

Dude made me exactly what I wanted the first time I went in, though I gave him very little to work with. I remember saying something like, «A frozen, mocha coffee drink — not too sweet — with an extra shot of espresso.»
I couldn’t have made it better myself.
Can’t speak to the quality of their coffee, but I had a good first impression of the place just now.
