JR Photography

John at JR Photography just recently opened his studio here and let me tell you, it’s pretty awesome!
When I first walked in, I was a little surprised, after all, it used to be a credit union, so the change into a photo studio was pretty amazing. Right after the front foyer, you’re greeted by a desk and a bunch of photos on the walls. The photos aren’t all in frames, some are actually stuck right to the wall as vinyl clings. Now don’t get me wrong, they actually looked good, and are apparently a service he offers.
Walking around to the left are a couple changing rooms and a nice sit down area with a large mirror for applying makeup and jewelry (not that I need too of course!:).
There’s a waiting room with a nice big TV set up and access to 2 restrooms and a small kitchen area. The studio is off to the right as you walk around and it’s pretty large. There is a green wall for any kind of background (think green screen), a bunch of pull down backgrounds, lights and props and two more areas for shoots.
John is personable and very accommodating and made me feel very at ease.
The photos turned out very well (I can only say so much, it is ME after all;) and the cost wasn’t at all bad. Turn around time was pretty quick and I was able to view them on his website before printing.
Overall, I definitely recommend JR Photography if you’re looking for family pictures or portraits.
