Kart 2 Kart

I organized a group of work colleagues for go to one of the K2K’s competitors in the area and at the last minute when I went to confirm reservation, we were told they could no longer accommodate us. I called Kart 2 Kart the day before and they happily took our business. We had a group of about 11 where most wanted to only do one race. the friendly staff let us bump our single’s races to a Grand Pix!
The staff was welcoming and very helpful in the lounge area with getting our Pizza Ordered & on the track with facilitating any crashes or stuck drivers. Since we had a large party we felt they were more than accommodating and they even sent us a thank you email for coming following our visit.
The only con was the price point — it seems expensive on the onset but after racing you will quickly forget how much you just spent.
We had a great experience and we will definitely return!

We came on a cool autumn day. Gotta love indoor go karting all year round. We had a nice time here. The go karts at other places are child’s play compared to here. We came when they first opened on a weekday, and it was only us so we had head to head racing. They supply helmets, neck support, and gloves. These karts go fast! I took a corner too fast and rammed into a wall full speed. The attendant came out and told me I had too slow down or I was going to hurt myself. He was right. Afterwards my neck was hurting, and I had a pounding headache. Seriously, I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. Be carful out there people, those karts are faster than you’re used to. But we had fun. It is on the expensive side for eight laps.

Lots of fun unless its super cold — or the «could not possibly care less» staff forgets to reactivate your kart to full speed after limiting it at the end of the previous session– causing me and about half our group to get lapped before I even made it halfway around the track. Not even an apology or next race is on us — just «oops!» Well no worries. Will go elsewhere next time. JD karting or who knows. You arent the only game in town and the kids you hire to run things need a bit of guidance on taking care of customers!

Expensive, boring, lame, for children only don’t be fooled…
Go around a few times have a smile… but do it for hours… yeahhhhhh no.

This is the most competitive go kart track in the Detroit area.
I’ve had fun racing here with folks from work and trying to beat my own lap times.
Kart 2 Kart also has 2 hour team endurance races and a solo Ironman race.

From CT, we don’t really have go karting near my city. I went here and thought it was ok. The kid in the front was talking to say fast for me. Seriously guy, I know you’re trying to sell it but pump the brakes. Then we went to another room where they explained the rules and regulations. When we were done with that, they told us our karts and I would think you would help someone out. Seriously, these young kids didn’t give a shit. The course was fun but seriously, if I ask you to help me with my seatbelt. Don’t stare and say the seatbelt goes slowly. I ask them if they can rearrange my seat, and he just shrug me off. We paid 63 dollars for 8 minutes, at least help us, don’t stand there and talk to your co worker about a xbox game.

Not sure why I’m reviewing this *now* considering I was here about 10 years ago, but this place isn’t as pants moistening as some of these reviews suggest.
I loved go karts for years (until I was old enough to drive, then I was pretty «meh» about them), and Kart 2 Kart was my only option that I knew of that wasn’t C.J. Barrymore’s. As far as I can remember, the prices haven’t changed for Kart 2 Kart, or if they have, they haven’t changed much. You’re still paying an awful lot for only a little bit of karting.
I’m sure there’s some ignorance involved with my complaining of the price (no idea what the MPG on a go kart is, how often they need servicing, etc.), but the price per racer here is too expensive for lil’-ol’-college-student-me to make much of a night out of it. If it were more affordable, I’d go back more often. Your best bet would be to get a «Racing Package», where you get 15 races for $ 150, which cuts the cost per session in half.

THE rudest unprofessional staff! Let people cut in front of you and don’t even care if you say something. Owners don’t care because if they did the kid staff would be fired. Look at staff reviews to see.
People don’t pay $ 20 for eight minutes to be treated rudely with disrespect.
The place is great fun otherwise!

Greatest kart racing I’ve been to. Love the track and the karts. Was so upset when I had to race at another track this weekend. They may have had nice karts, but the racing policy and employees were nowhere near as good as Kart 2 Kart. Can’t wait to come back.

I truly love this place. Nothing like getting in a little kart and racing your friends and tipping back a few drinks! They let you rent out the back room also for little parties or meetings! Great time for all ages. Only thing I would suggest is getting some kind of food (even pizza) and maybe some extra games for little kids. But other than that, my favorite place to be able to feel like a kid again! =)

Staff is young and arrogant specifically the roited up male that had nothing but negative things to say after our runs. The new karts are garbage compared to the prior karts. Got yelled at for locking up brakes. Kart was bogging heavily past corner. $ 20 for 8 minutes. You figure with new karts, and higher prices would be an even better time then before. False don’t waste your money there, not worth it at all!

Great track with very nice and fast karts… BUT, I was very disappointed by the employees here. They try to discourage drivers from drifting or skidding out, but on my second lap I braked too hard into a turn and fishtailed. I was promptly directed into the pit lane where one of the employees on the track started yelling at me, «Cut that sh*t out! Do you know how f*cking expensive these cars are?!» Well… Do YOU know how expensive my 8min ride is that you’re cutting into with you’re scolding?!
I’ve never been treated so rudely by anyone whom I was paying ($ 20 for an 8min ride, btw). To be fair, the employee apologized after the race was over.

We love this place! We come here every couple of months! And now they have new carts, so they’re faster and grip so well. They even trimmed some of the course back on the big apex. It’s a challenge!
They serve pop and light snacks, but no food. There is a table area and lounge area too.
They supply helmets, helmet rag, neck support, gloves and of course safety harnesses on the carts. It’s helpful that they are so safety conscious. And sometimes they offer GroupOn deals for buy 3 get one free. Watch for it!

They got new karts and changed the course. Karts are way faster, more power and more grip. Guys are running in the 25s now. I hate to say it but with these karts ill probably never go back to the new novi place again. Well done guys.

I haven’t been to any other Karting places in Michigan so I have nothing to compare Kart2Kart to, but it is a lot of fun and a great place overall. The Karts are fast (enough for me anyway) and the staff is great. They are polite and helpful and always ready to help out. After each round of karting they give you a print out of your timings, comparing them to everyone else in your group. It makes racing feel a little more competitive.
We usually go to Kart2Kart in groups of 6 and more and it’s been consistently good. They serve beer, and lots of alcohols, as well as tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. They do not serve food, but have several menus to order off that deliver there.
If you like karting (or if you’re married to someone who does) I highly recommend Kart2Kart.

Before I moved to MI, my friends and I would go go-​karting on the regular. After taking my husband to one of my favorite tracks on one of our recent trips back home, he broke the news we have a similar track close to home. Halleluja, yo!
I have to admit that when you are used to a fast and smooth kart such as the ones at kart 2 kart, the standard go kart experience typically found is slightly underwhelming.
Upon arrival you pick your nickname and register yourself. This is because the system will electronically keep track of your heattimes (and thus determine a winner). After the race, these records will be printed. If you placed high, this will provide great bragging rights (with proof!). If not… Well, you may want to dispose of the evidence…
They provide you with a sexy hair-​condom and helmet to protect your noggin. These puppies go fast, so safety first!
Did I mention they go fast? That is the best part of this place. It satisfies my need for speed, and gives my led foot a nice outlet without risk of getting ticketed.
I did not know that they even served alcohol here, but I appreciate the info from my fellow Unilocalers. Trust me, I will put this information to good use.
The only downside is that this sport as a whole is slightly expensive. But that could just be my cheap DNA. Either way, there is tons of fun to be had, here!

I have a blast every time I come here. The staff is super friendly, and will answer any questions you may have. The karts are pretty serious, and seem to run in the neighborhood of 30mph+. Don’t go here and expect a leisurely ride around the track. It gets pretty crazy at times!
When you come here for the first time, you register yourself on their computer and it will keep track of your stats every time you come. It’s neat to see how you’ve improved, or regressed in my case. After a race they give you a printout of everyone’s lap times so you can see how you stack up. It’s pretty nice to have for bragging rights.
Food wise, they don’t really offer anything other than snacks. You can order food from other places and have it delivered, which is nice.
Oh yeah, they serve alcohol! I don’t know if I would call it a FULL bar, but they have all the important staples.
Alcohol + go karts. Just sayin.

Went here a couple times with my cousins and our girlfriends. It was pretty fun. I would say the carts here are a good amount more unleashed and powerful than your typical kiddy carts. The indoor track is designed well. Also, the fact that they have a little bar and you can actually have a cocktail, beer or two before riding is kind of a guilty pleasure. Since it’s a closed circuit, protected environment — it kind of lets you drive «relaxed» without breaking any laws or endangering anyone. The staff is not overly nice, they are friendly enough — which is kind of all you really would ask for. There is a small game room and a decent waiting area, and you get printouts of all the accurate times each person ran their laps with. Pricing is OK but even better on the off-​days they run specials or via Groupon and whatnot. For me the thrill only visits a once in a blue moon visit, but for folks who actually like go karting, more value could be had. Any given ride I have in my own sports coupe still trumps this experience, but that’s just me. I still recommend you to check this place out!

We had part of my bachelor party here. It was so fun!
First of all, they have a full bar… get drunk and drive Go-​Carts? I’m IN! These aren’t your regular go-​carts either, they go about 40MPH! They suit you up with a head sleeve, neck-​guard, and helmet and then it’s off to the races.
Make sure to bring a lot of people if you want the most enjoyment. It is so great whizzing around the indoor track trying to get a better line than your buds and squeezing them out of a inside corner. They track all of your lap times and print it out on a graph for ultimate trash talking post-​race. Man did we have a good time there!
