Nicky D’s Coney Island

I get the worst service every time I went there since they opened. Always a different waitress too and they seem way too occupied with things other than waitressing. Food was mediocre, once I got it, but I’d rather go to Phoenix right down the road for the same food at a cheaper price.

Would not never recommend. The language the staff uses and lack of the service over all. I don’t think it will be in business very long.

Love the vegetarian grilled sandwhich. I frequent aleast 3times a week. The staff are always friendly and the food comes fast.

Two of my favorite things about this coney island are
1. It is open ²⁴⁄₇
2. It has a drive through (which I find rare in coneys near me)!!! So my lazy butt doesn’t have to get out of the car to get some carry out!
It has a pretty typical coney island menu/​food. The inside is nice and clean, the staff has always been nice to me.
I usually get the philly chicken pita (add feta cheese) it is delicious and I would recommend everyone to try it.
Pretty good place to go to if you’re coming back at night from partying on the weekend with a group of friends and are in the area looking for a dine in place!

I sat down and ordered the pita with grilled chicken and bacon with fries .was really good but cheese wasn’t warmed but still very good and service was warm and friendly will be back wish I would if came here sooner

Great food. Great place. Great staff. I keep returning because of the amazing manager, Loura. She is always so attentive and caring and makes sure everyone is having a great experience.

Been here several times. In the first visits, the food was great. Not sure what has happened, maybe misinformed cooks? The last meals we purchased was low quality. Bacon was leathery and overcooked, rotten. Pancakes way undercooked. Omelette was the worst tasting, he had ever eaten. Toast was burned. Only ate it because he was hungry. That was just this mornings food we purchased. I took my uneaten portion back, thankfully, they refunded the money back. I’m only eating there, because not many restaurants are open for this shift.
Wish them well. Rave reviews I’ve read, not sure if we’re an isolated incident.

My family and I love this place! We come in pretty regularly and we are treated awesome! The waitresses know us and are usually right over to ask how we are and get our drinks especially for our girls. The food is good, always fresh and generous! I always have to take at least more than half of mine home! My hubby and I have had a wide arrange of food here and never not liked anything! Solid food for sure! We dine in at least once a week. Plus side? They have a drive-​thru! And they are FAST! You can have a meal in and out in like 20ish minutes!

Stopped in looking for a spot to plop the books down, grab some lunch and study for a bit…
Nicky D’s was a bit to loud for a study sesh, but it was good none the less.
I had seen a picture from Unilocal for a grilled veggie sandwhich and it looked so good… so I got one… and it was really good… the one thing I might change about the sandwich is to thin out the cucumbers you place on it. Those were a little thick and touch to bite through. Otherwise. the service and food were pretty great!
I would 100% go back to Nicky D’s…especially to get one of those greek chicken salads… a coworker had one before and it smelled heavenly… in the fridge!

I Expected this place to suck because my wife recommended it… i was wrong. Food was really good, quick service, and price was great. Il be back for sure.

Came here at around 1am, very very slow service, my Limon rice soup was not good at all, I waited 15 Mins just to get a refill on water. They are very understaff also, everything was a wait.

Open 24hrs and its a brand new place. Inside and out looks great. I like that they have actual glasses made of glass. Not plastic. Nice bright white plates and the food is plated well. Very comfy booths. Food is top notch for any Coney place. I always get breakfast from here and it is always consistent and fast. They even have a drive thru!
It’s always clean, wait staff is kind, food is great. What more is there to say?

Just looking for breakfast or a coney dog? This would be a great place. It has that 50’s retro feel in a diner atmosphere. Very clean and reasonable pricing. Nice portions. I’ve been pleased with my omelettes every time. Drive through service.

Perhaps it is my fault, but I did not enjoy the takeout at this location. I ordered the strawberry waffle. They placed the strawberries on the waffle that was placed in the styrofoam container. This is a problem because the waffle gets soggy just by being in the container with its own steam coming off of it, but when there are strawberries on top for the minutes between pick-​up and getting home, the waffle soaks in the strawberries. Making this problem worse is that they use a thick strawberry sauce. I am sure it is a canned strawberry and I realize you get what you pay for and am comfortable with that, but I feel some thought should be put into whether toppings should be added on location or separately stored. Knocking it from a three to a two star is that the big guy in the back didn’t have gloves on when handling food when I peeked through the back window.

I have been coming to Nicky D’s for the past few months now and I must say, this coney is the best I’ve ever had. Not only is the service phenomenal, but the food is awesome! You always get more then what you pay for with this place. I love everything about this place. They have my business from now on and I will go out of my way because this is where my loyalty lies from here on out!

Large Portions, Great Service, Great LOOKING service, very affordable prices. We eat here once a week. I was reading some other comments and yes, the Drive Through is slow but remember you are at a restaurant not a Fast Food joint, if you want fast food go to McDonalds. Great place!

Okay now for a review from someone who actually ate the food… Let’s do this review bullet style… BANG! And here we go.
*When you first walk in cool vibes galore.
* When you sit down your greeted by a friendly smile.
*The menu has your classic coney fare… but wait there’s more.
* Lots of good home cooked meals as well!
* Food comes to the table hot fast and in hearty portions.
* prices are very affordable for the budget conscious.
CONCLUSION: Not the best restaurant on the face of Gods green earth but for what it is it’s pretty great. I say give it a try.
