I’ve been coming to this store for about a year now. They have the greatest customer service and when it comes to product knowledge, these guys know there stuff. There craft beer selection is phenomenal and they are always expanding. If you’re in the Sterling Heights/Shelby area I highly recommend stopping by!

I used to frequent this establishment back when it was the Mound Deli. To be honest, the place was a dump. When I saw it was purchased by new ownership, I was itching to check it out. I was not disappointed. The first time I went in the Liquor Book, the selection was pretty light. I grabbed a couple six packs of my favorite staple craft brews and spoke with the owner about some other brands he might consider carrying. He actually wrote down my suggestions. Needless to say, the next time I walked in, the beer selection doubled. The next time I visited, it seemed like the selection doubled from that. The Liquor Book knows how to stock the shelves with a fantastic selection of delicious beers. Besides the tremendous selection of delightful libations, the Liquor Book is bright, clean and well organized. It’s a night and day comparison to how it used to look(and smell). I’ll definitely be back so this store can have more of my money. I love that the owner admittedly wants to cater to the community. Great work.

I have stopped here several times before, to buy some St Michelle’s wine & a lotto ticket or two. First of all it is tenfold nicer in appearance & stock than the previous multi year tenant, Mound Road Liquor Store. Today what brought me in was my constant & perpetual desire for a gyro . On the large & bright new LEDSIGN, they had a photo & ad that said: FRESHGYROS So at 4:55 I pulled in off of the mound rd autobahn. Walked in and Brandon /Owner was this super personality, truly he was & a Stevenson Graduate! (yea local fella) I asked so tell me about this Fresh Gyro I explained my love of GYROS, even mentioning the hike I will make to Graceland to try one. He was intrigued. He took the time to ask how I would like a perfect GYRO He yelled to his cousin«Hey Steve make RON a traditional GYRO, make it good! He asked me, if I followed«The BOOK» on facebook, No but why I inquired Well we keep a very current list of our craft beers, which boasts a list of 600+ I thanked him for the deets, asked him if he knew of Unilocal and he sure did. As I was waiting for my GYRO, his mom stopped by to say hello & Steve promised me «Ron if you do not like the GYRO, I will reimburse you». .. . WOW! The Gyro meat /lamb was on a rotisserie, sliced fresh, after he had grilled my pita Steve then sliced up a purple onion & tomato, Also gave me a large squirt of tzatziki sauce . When he handed it to me, seriously the GYRO had some weight to it, could NOT wait to get home and try it. I hope this does not sound like hyperbole, but it is truly a gem of a sandwich, better than KouZina, truly it was. So for $ 5.99, real lamb on a rotisserie and service like we used to get in the old neighborhood, I will be back, and also hope to tried the fried chicken.

New store, still filling up stock. Had a nice talk with one of the owners who was very friendly and we had a good conversation about the store. Look forward to coming back to see this place grow. Had a good selection of 4 – 6 packs and some rare stuff otherwise.
