I have been eating at darya kabob for long time. The food is good and fresh. Chicken with bone in my favorite dish.

Always the best service and the best Persian cuisine in the area. I go out of my way to come here and so should everyone else.

I usually come to darya kabob because it has nice place, clean restaurant, friendly and polite staffs, high quality and delicious food. Whenever I come here to dine, I come out so pleased.

If you are looking for really good middle eastern food in the Herndon/Reston area, this is the place to come. It’s always a good sign, when looking for international cuisine, when the place is packed with people from the host country. Although the server is not the fastest, it’s always worth the wait. Best Hummus I have ever had. As far as(as someone wrote) the rice being bland, there’s always a couple of extras condiments that can be added to spice it up. I have been getting take-out dinner from this place for 5 years, never had a bad meal.

After reading all the good reviews I really wanted to try this place. Well, I was disappointed. I ordered the Hummus, chicken with rice and baklava. I found the food to be quite bland. The chicken cubes were dry and the rice had no flavor at all. It was pretty much just lightly salted white rice with a blob of yellow food color. Hummus wasn’t too bad just a little tart for my taste. They make fresh bread which is nice, but you must eat it while it’s still hot or it will turn into a rubbery texture. Baklava was little bit dry but not bad. Overall, nothing to brag about. I will probably not eat here again!

The food was absolutely wonderful. The bread was fresh made and the meat was cooked to perfection. I wish we had a restaurant like this at home. I would definitely come here again.

Easily, hands down, the best place to enjoy a tender, juicy kabob in Northern Virginia. The amount of food you get for the prices is incredible, the yogurt sauce is always fresh, flavorful, and full of shredded cucumbers.

It is another hidden gem. Awesome kabob at not so costly price. Loved their chicken kabobs and wraps. Real value for money !

My favorite kabob restaurant. The food is fresh, meat is tender, rice is moist and flavorful. Hummus is good as well. Well worth the trip.

Great Kabob place in the Herndon/Sterling area. Family owned restaurant that takes pride in providing quality food and service to their customers. The beef kobeeda(sp?) wrap is my go to. Everything is fresh and made in-house. Their yogurt sauce is great! If you’re in the area and in the mood for Kabobs this place is definitely worth checking out.

The meat here is great value for the money. Excellent chicken and beef. A grade above Moby Dicks. Rice is solid and the bread is exceptional. I love the spicy green sauce. This stuff spread on your rice is divine. The only thing that is not better than Moby Dicks is the yogurt sauce. This place has been here for years, providing the same quality food year in and year out. The service from the owner is sometimes great, sometimes so-so, which can be a little annoying. For example if you don’t have the minimum $ 10 credit card limit, the owner can really wear your nerves, but in the end I’m coming here for the food.

This place has delicious food and wonderful service. The pickled garlic is awesome but be forewarned that eating more than one head will lead to gastric unhappiness for a good day and a half! The tables are a little sticky and it’s not the cleanest place I’ve ever been to but by no means is it filthy.

After coming here a few more times I have come to the decision that this is my favorite Kabob place in the area, the food is always fresh and with a few new added items on the menu you can’t lose when you come here.

Delicious option for kabobs. Our family came on a Saturday afternoon based on Unilocal reviews. My wife and I ordered the chicken kabob wrap and the Kubideh(beef) wrap, which were about $ 6 each. Although it’s not printed in the picture menu behind the front counter, you can ask for the wrap option instead of the full platter. We sat down in the informal setting. It’s not a fancy place, but is kid-friendly and had a few customers with take-out orders. After 5 minutes, somebody from the kitchen brought the the kabob wraps out on a tray. The seasoning was delightful with the vegetables and meat. But the highlight of the meal was the yogurt sauce, which was more flavorful than Moby Dick’s or other kabob places we have visited in N. Virginia.

This place is great and I’m glad I tried it. The steak is very tender and juicy probably the best steak kabob I’ve tried. Prices are very reasonable for a kabob joint. Place was clean and I believe the owner took our order so customer service was excellent.

The food is very dry, and the customer service is not all that great! Moby dicks is much better. We ordered the chicken and the beef both felt like it was not fresh. The rice is also not cooked very good.

What a great food; never know this place until i drove by and turned around. It is not a big or a fancy place but they have a great chicken and lamb kabob. It taste fresh, looks fresh and smells fresh. The price is reasonable; not too cheap and not expensive at all. One downside is, no one will greet you as you walk-in and it is a turn off if this your first visit. Parking is not that bad though is not easy to get a spot front of the restaurant; but there plenty of parking at the shopping center. May be you should try and share your experience with others.

Decided to finally try this kabob joint out, and I am SO glad that I did. The inside is like a café, with lots of tables for those who want to eat in. I was doing take-away, but the layout was nice. Order at the counter, and there is a large menu board with descriptions and pictures. This is very helpful for those of us who are not Kabob experts(this is a Persian-style kabob shop). Additionally, the family that runs this shop is very friendly and kind. I went for the straightforward Kabob Kubideh, beef skewers on rice with bread, and I also decided to try out a piece of their baklava. The order was ready in under 10 minutes, and I was on my way. My order consisted of 2 large ground beef kabobs over LOTS of rice, a grilled tomato, and a half piece of bread(huge by the way). Everything was fresh and cooked very well. The beef actually had seasonings I could taste, and there was onion mixed into it. The rice was nice and fluffy, not greasy. The bread was soft and chewy, great stuff. There was also a homemade yogurt sauce that was just the right creaminess to give your food a quick cool-down if needed. The baklava was very good as well — lots of sweet honey and nuts baked into that phyllo dough. Definitely going to get some of that again. It’s great to have this neighborhood kabob shop, and it’s going to be my default from now on.

3.5 stars. A pretty decent and authentic mom and pop kabob place in the area for about $ 9 a plate. The place looked a bit run down, but smelled amazing. I decided to order the kubideh with rice and bread and wasn’t too disappointed… but pay attention to my next statement here. The meat was tender but dry. How does this make sense? It didn’t make sense to me until later, but the meat was a good texture – not tough whatsoever, however it was NOT juicy. That is really the only thing that was stopping me from giving this place another star. The platter also includes a generous portion of fluffy rice with saffron, and a large, delicious naan. Very convenient location to my home in northern virginia, decently good food, for an OK price, service was average, and their yogurt sauce was pretty good. not too shabby UPDATE03÷12÷15: I ordered the sultani combo on a second visit, and it was game changer! $ 10.99, so i’ll keep the star rating the same, but the tenderloin was delicious. I highly recommend this combo.
