Reston Copy Center

I had a huge (9,000 page) printing project that I needed to finish within a day. My first attempt was contacting FedEx and they were a huge let down and had no desire to help me. I did a little google search and found these guys. They were VERY helpful, convenient and reasonably priced. Printing is expensive anywhere you go but it’s nice to get a quality product and outstanding customer service. I will definitely use Reston Copy Center in the future.

Don’t go there unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for color copies.
For oversize documents, they have the equipment. ASK before he copies it, otherwise the owner will take the opportunity to rip you off and charge 3 times as much as FedEX, Office Depot or UPS.

What the address for this location doesn’t tell you is that it’s inside a giant office building which houses other corporations like Convergys, which used to be a vendor I worked with, and the obscure, yet seemingly powerful Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project. Who knew?
Drive around the Chili’s until you find the parking lot that has signs every five feet warning you that they enforce the two-​hour parking rule. You will be towed. I guess the more signs they have up, the more serious they are about it?
Reston Copy Center is actually on the bottom level of the building, so hop in the elevator down and walk around the hallway to the back entrance. You’ll find the door there. At least it’s nice and welcoming with a «come inside» sign leading you in.
The folks who run this shop may not be the most bubbly friendly folks you will ever meet, but boy are they speedy. I needed different quantities of four different documents run off, and one set of color copies cut into half-​sheets. The total time spent, including greetings and payment, was probably less than twenty minutes. They don’t mess around.
Plus, the paper stock that they use is high end, I had an opportunity to proof the output before committing to the whole batch, and I got to stand right there and walk Mr. Mendoza through the details of what I needed, as he delivered my prints while we spoke.
While copies aren’t necessarily cheap, with color copies running me 59 cents a pop, considering the speed and quality, it wasn’t terribly bad, either. This is definitely a spot I’ll keep in my back pocket for rush jobs, and when I’m feeling like sticking it to the man by avoiding the ubiquitous evil Kinko’s joints!
