In regards to the review below:
I have Mrs. Hunsaker and I haven’t had that bad of an experience. For some reason she doesn’t have a very good reputation among the students here at West Ranch. She grades fairly, explains things thoroughly, and goes above and beyond to answer students’ questions. She can be condescending at times though, and I’ve noticed that it’s worse outside of normal class hours. The same goes for the attendance office staff.
On the other hand, my guidance counselor has been very helpful along the way. There are many clubs and sports to participate in. My physics teacher (Mr. Haggart) is awesome too!

The rating is based on one teacher.
Ms. Hunsaker (Ensligh Dept) is a very angry woman and she has unfortunately taken her unhappiness out on several other students.
I have personally investigated the nature of her rude and extremely unprofessional behavior with my daughter as well as speaking with 4 other mothers that have chilren in my daughter’s class. These mothers and I have confided and shared information with eachother in regards to Ms. Hunsaker’s behavior. We have also continuously supported eahother in regards to Ms. Hunsaker’s negative effects on our children. Ms. Hunsaker obviously has no business teaching until she revolves her personal issues outside of her class. We honestly feel it is certainly unfair for our children to have to endure such nasty behavior and a great lack of respect from their English teacher, Ms. Hunsaker.
I am appalled at the statements she has made to my daughter. At my request, I asked my daughter to record her on her iphone when my daughter turned in an assignment at 8:00 am the one morning. My daughter was very hesitant but she then agreed to record Mrs. Hunsaker’s reaction to my daughter simply turning in an assignment the following morning. Wow wow wow. Rude rude rude!!!
My daughter loves shool and she is in fact a straight A student, which you parents know is no easy task at West Ranch. I can proudly say, however, my daughter is literally counting the hours until she finishes her one miserable class of her lifetime. Out of fun and support, I happily count the hours out loud with her when she brings it up. Sad, yes. But I have also expressed to my daughter that happy people do not mistreat other people and therefore Mrs. Hunsaker cannot be happy or she would treat everyone with respect, therefore, don’t take it personal. THANK GOD my daughter gets this.
I ask this: Do the resonsible parties involved in hiring teachers at this school actually consider who teaches our children? My God this woman has a horrible attitude and I am sincerley not alone in my opinion. Someone NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE the behavior of Mrs. Hunsaker. Her extremely never ending negative attitude towards our children is out of control. There is a tremendous lack of respect on Ms. Hunsaker’s part and I am exhausted for my daughter. Truly.
On a positive side, there are so many WONDERFUL teachers at West Ranch such as Ms. Sage, Mr. Cook, Mr. Worby, Ms. Peters, etc. etc. Just wonderful!
