Our family loves this Cracker Barrel! It’s our favorite stop on our way to the ocean. The manager, restaurant and store staff are all the best.

Stopped here for breakfast before heading to work. Seated quickly and our waitress was prompt. Out food came out quickly and was hot and enjoyable. Portions are a good size, I can never finish all of mine. The only thing I dislike about their breakfast is that just about EVERYTHING on the breakfast menu comes with biscuits and«sawmill gravy». Need to mix that up a bit or offer substitutions, especially for GF. I love their atmosphere and decoration.

A good place for an unhealthy American breakfast. The coffee is basically colored water. Wait staff is well trained & the restaurant is clean.

I ordered the catfish platter with 2 pieces of fried catfish, hashbrown casserole, fried apples and turnip greens. Of course, I had a glass of lemonade to wash it down. The catfish were fried and seasoned perfectly. The apples were nice and sweet and not at all mushy. The hashbrown casserole was cheesy and had a nice crunch. Everything was absolutely wonderful! Our server, Kim was fantastic. Although, I was part of a party of 7 and she had other tables– she did not miss a beat. She was constantly refilling our drinks and anticipating our needs.

i absolutely love eating at the cracker barrel. it stirs up many memories from my first year of college when i attended university in the south, where there was a cracker barrel in almost every city! my immediate family of 6 came here for brunch on a cold winter day, seeking warm, comfort food. i wasn’t surprised that there was a bit of a wait as this is a very popular restaurant, and well known all over the states. fortunately, we had the cracker barrel country store/gift shop to keep us busy while we waited for a table. we were seated in a corner at a table large enough for 8, so we definitely had space to spread out and order lots of food! we also had mini board games to play while we awaited our meals, which were found on every table in the dining room. i ordered my favourite non-breakfast dish, which was chicken ‘n dumplins. the cracker barrel makes this dish the old fashioned southern way, with flour dumplings made from scratch, and served in a thick and creamy chicken broth that has the consistency of gravy. i had not enjoyed this dish in years and it did not disappoint! complementing the meal was of course their signature basket of corn muffins and biscuits, served hot with butter and fruit preserves. as much as i love their muffins and biscuits, i love them even more when dipped into their southern style white gravy! granted this is not the healthiest of meals, with lots of cream and oils, it was lip-smacking delicious and i savored every bite of my dumplings and chicken broth and biscuits and white gravy. i knew that i wouldn’t be able to have chicken ‘n dumplins and biscuits ‘n gravy for quite some time, since i don’t live near a cracker barrel, so i made sure to indulge in this fine meal. the service was friendly and definitely reminiscent of southern hospitality. until next time, cracker barrel! maybe i’ll see you in california sometime!

Consistent, friendly. One of the better Cracker Barrels I’ve been to. Great location right off of the highway. The staff here is polite and professional. Good food. A 4-star Cracker Barrel

The service is always fast and pleasant! Even when they are busy and crowded they still always have smiles and don’t rush you! Prices are never bad, UNLESS you order a bunch of things. But then you usually have left overs, which for me ISNT A PROBLEM!

They messed up on the order since they ran out. It caused a long delay. They ended up making up for it on other ways, v do in the end we were happy. So we were about to leave and another waitress drops her tray as we were getting up. Felt like a comedy of errors. Something is sometimes off at this location for some reason. They usually work hard to make up for it in other ways. This makes it more worthwhile. Good management since they are on top of problems as they artist and promptly show up at the table

So to start. The only reason why this place is getting ONE star is because of Nate’s awesome service. He was timely, courteous, very well spoken and seemed genuinely enthusiastic to be there(which as someone who works in the restaurant industry, I know is hard to come by). We sat down for what was probably my 20th time ever at a Cracker Barrel, I used to go when we were on vacation as a kid and I’ve had an affinity for the place ever since. So when we sat down and were greeted by a jovial Nate, ready to get our experience off to a good start, it was just like I remembered. However, shortly after our meals arrived to the table it was ALLDOWNHILL. The Chicken Fried Chicken entrée came with three sides, so I chose the mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and cucumber tomato and onion salad. Now, I’m only from jersey so my knowledge of southern cuisine is limited, but I’m quite confident that the cuc/tomato/onion salad is something that needs to be marinated in the vinegar and herbs for at least a few hours before it’s ready to be served(it’s a side I use frequently during the summer at the restaurants I have been a chef). Instead I was given unpeeled cut into whole circle cucumbers WHOLE grape tomatoes and like 4 tiny pieces of onion. I am 100% sure they threw them in the side dish splashed it with a little vinegar and sent it to my table. Ok, so I get it, it’s Memorial Day weekend, maybe they’re just really busy. But it’s only Saturday afternoon, are you going to continue to push less than mediocre food at people because of either: 1) a lazy kitchen staff that didn’t stay ahead of how busy it was going to be, knowing this holiday is always crazy or 2-(which appears to be more likely) a managerial staff who allows the restaurant to run them instead of the other way around. So now I’ve gotten this far without even getting to the thing that is the most reprehensible thing in the food service industry behind serving bad seafood… my chicken fried chicken was RAW, not a little pink, not ‘oh should’ve left it down for another minute’. Stone cold, raw chicken from edge to edge under the flour breading. Nate was busy, so trying to grab his attention was a little tough at first, but I noticed a man who was clearly a manager walking the floor. He made eye contact with me TWICE, but ignored my gestures to try to get him to our table(I’m not going to yell and cause a scene over chicken). So when I get nate’s attention as he was coming out of the kitchen, he ran over to attend to whatever it was I needed and when he found out about the raw chicken apologized profusely and offered to have it remade or do whatever he could to make us happy, but at that point we were ready to go, so we just asked for the check. As he dropped the check offered to comp us a dessert because ‘the manager said he could’. At this point I still haven’t spoken to a manager and my raw chicken was still sitting on the table so Nate kindly removed it for us. As we got up to leave, the manager FINALLY came over(literally, after we had already stood up from the table) and said ‘what?! No dessert?!.’ As if the offer of a free piece of cobbler was going to drown the bacteria from the raw chicken I was just served. We simply said ‘No’ and he said ‘Is everything OK?’ Clearly not man, you just served me raw chicken I want to go home and make myself puke so I don’t get sick, because if that is your procedure on Cooking and serving food I dread your receiving, prepping and handling procedures. Then as we were waiting in line to pay, he re approached me and said ‘are you sure I can’t do anything for you? Are you still hungry?’ I’m not going to tell you how to run your establishment Steve, but the fact that you aren’t in the kitchen at that moment, showing the kitchen my piece of chicken and making sure that it is well understood that is something that could legitimately kill someone. And making them show you that they’re using the timers you told me about because ‘I don’t know how this happened, we have everything on timers.’ makes me more upset than a $ 25 gift card would make me happy. Sorry for the salmonella, here’s a free cast iron pan? Well, I just pulled back into Baltimore city, and am going to go inside and see if I can puke and work back up an appetite before all the kitchens close. Thanks for nothing Steve. Nate for manager 2016!

I LOVECRACKERBARRELENDOFSTORY… LOL Ok let me get to the review. I have yet to go to any location of Cracker Barrel and receive bad customer service or food! Locations are always in a good spot. You walk in and they make you feel like family. I love all of the old school décor. The gift shop that has the oldies but goodies candy and plenty of cool items for you to choose from. There pancakes are good. French Toast is the !! Ask for powder sugar and BOOM you got a awesome dish! Nothing like eating eggs and knowing that they are super fresh. Heck I thought about running out back to see if they got it straight from the chicken they were so good! LOL Honey chile when they say«country ham» they mean it! Bacon is great! I have nothing bad to say about this place. And YOU yes YOU reading this review. what are you waiting for? Stop pondering about going and just GOGOGO! You won’t be disappointed. :-) EnJOY!

The service here was pretty good. Megan was super responsive, friendly, and nice. This place is almost always slam packed as it’s one of the hottest and trendiest eateries for eastern shore foodies. You almost guaranteed to see someone you know here. It’s the place to be seen. We had the French toast, pecan pancakes, and biscuits and gravy with a side order of dippy eggs and turkey sausage. The food was average. The silverware was clean as were the plates and glasses. The water was clear, refreshing and the hot chocolate was approved by my sons.

After all the beach food, we were ready for some good olé Southern cooking. This Restaurant was very clean and the servers and staff were very friendly and did their job fast. Kept drinks refilled and food came out fast. We had chicken and dumplings, fried catfish, steak fries, baked apples and green beans. Minus one star because the green beans were beyond recognition and at first glance looked like cooked greens like kale or turnip greens, and the bottoms of the complimentary bisquits and corn muffins were very hard. Maybe shouldn’t complain about them because they were complimentary, but if its served, it should be the freshest. These seemed like they had been put back in the oven for reheating. Also, the only desserts they offered were apple related except a chocolate coca cola cake and some caramel dessert that had popcorn on it. I would have liked to see more of a selection. But my side of baked apples curbed my sweet tooth. Very reasonable prices. For under 8 $ you get a meat and two veggie sides. I wish I would have got the Mac and cheese rather than the mushy green beans but all in all, the food was very good. Would definitely return.

I’ll drive the extra distance to get to this Cracker Barrel. I don’t visit this place to rock on their front porch in a rocking chair. I don’t visit to shop in their store… Although I’ll admit I’ve done both in the past. I come here to get that big breakfast when I really need it. French toast, eggs and bacon… fresh hot coffee… They do an excellent breakfast here. As far as customer service hopefully you’ll get on of the wait staff with a lot of stars on their apron(one star is one year of service). In my experience the more stars the better service you’ll get.

It’s a Cracker Barrel. We love the fun things they have here and we enjoyed our breakfast very much. I love that they offer many items a la cart to be able to specify what I needed instead of feeling like I am asking the waitress for favors when I want items changed or added to my requests. The staff was super nice, we were helped quickly, even walking around the store the staff was attentive and offered help. We would def go back when we head this way.
