McDonald’s

Just had possibly the worst eating experience of my life. Let me preface this by saying that I have been in town for almost 5 years now and have never had nearly as bad a time as I just did, and this took place at 4:00 AM (not drunk, although I wish I had been now), when there was seemingly little traffic and few people scrambling for breakfast. (See what I did there?)
I usually don’t go to McDonald’s any more, for obvious reasons, but with one being so close to my house and my hunger being so strong, I decided, eh, I’ll go back and take a shot at a Egg White Delight McMuffin. Didn’t happen. I still don’t know if the first intercom became broken halfway through my order or not… I tried to order and then was asked if I wanted anything else, when I asked for the double cheeseburger my buddy had asked me to get. I then waited for nearly ten minutes, with intermittent «hello?“s… I decided to finally pull forward to the first window. Nobody. Second window. Finally, a fumbling, bumbling idiot. I find out that they didn’t place my order. I agreed to wait, and did for 10 minutes while I watched a few more buffoons wander around. I WATCHED A YOUNG MAN WALK OVER IN FRONT OF THE WINDOW, GRAB A CUP, TURN HIS BACK, SET IT BACK DOWN, AND WALK INTO THE KITCHEN. Nothing going on between the ears. I finally received two double cheeseburgers (that I wouldn’t eat… SHOCKER) since they could not serve me the Egg White Delight McMuffin I initially wanted… after nearly 25 minutes in line.
The burgers I got were cold as if they hadn’t prepared any food in the last hour or two and they were all that was left. I hope that nobody ever has to go through what I did this morning. I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy. I now have heartburn. If this is my last post on the internet, I want everyone to know that I loved. My time on the internet may have been spent in jest, but it was also a time to attain and spread knowledge, which to me, is a noble quest. I digress.
Even you are better than this, McDonald’s. Be better next time… for America’s sake.
