The Chef’s Gallery

I love food and I love the craft that goes into making it. I like experimenting and of course, that means sometimes we fail, but failures are usually due to the tools themselves. I came here for a spiral vegetable cutter, I keep trying to make Italian dishes with zucchini, and mine all sort of turn into a hotdish because I can only cut the veggies in cubes or planks. Trying to make zucchinis spaghetti and a stringed carrot dish now. The cutter works awesome! Plus the staff here was incredibly helpful and helped me find a multitude of different options.
Would recommend coming here if you are in the area.

Like others have pointed out, the place is too crowded and the owner (I think she’s the owner) made it obvious to me today that she doesn’t care. I waited along with others in the crowded space by the registers waiting for my turn to pay, only to see some beeatch behind me walk around all of us and say loudly Oh I guess there are TWO lines. She goes around the guy in front of me who is getting rung up and gets waited on! Then when she walks off I get face to face with the blonde woman who rang her up, and I told her the situation. She replied that she just encourages her customers to speak up for themselves and be proactive about getting waited on. I basically wanted to slap her when she said that. Instead, I said it would make sense that they hang a sign or something directing traffic so that people know where to line up. She said by no means was she going to do that, as if it would somehow be an imposition to actually set it up so people could successfully navigate the store without having to resort to getting in each other’s faces over who gets served first. Needless to say, while the other employees seemed decent enough, she just made the whole experience worse. I for one won’t be going back.

Every single time I come to Stillwater, I come to this store. Every single time, I find at least a few little goodies to bring home. I spend far too much time in here because I want to touch every one of the thousands of items. First, I have to point out every piece of Le Creuset that I have, so I can then call out the next items on my wish list. Then, I need to go through the gadgets. Then, the stemware. Then, the hand crafted items. (A water pitcher shaped like a fish that gurgles? Yes, please.) Then, I have to go back to the sale room. There is never a shortage of shiny items to catch this magpie’s eye.

I have many tings in my kitchen from this store, but will never return. I found more and more Chinese crap with labels over the Made in China courtesy of the store. It ended when some ignorant clerk would not leave me alone and I told her off and that I would never return. Lot of stupid clerks in Stillwater trying to force themselves and merchandise on people. Stay out of Stillwater unless you are an idiot

For a kitchen store, it is awesome. They have everything. Friendly and helpful staff. Check out the closeout/​discount room!

Lot’s of expensive cooking stuff I can’t afford but enjoy gawking at.

I love The Chef’s Gallery. Seeing the windows filled with shelf after shelf of colorful serving dishes and Le Creuset pots, I am always drawn inside. The store is huge and filled with every imaginable cooking knick knack and gadget.
The service here is outstanding and the staff are always helpful. They even allowed us to exchange a ceramic baking dish that we bought over a year ago without a receipt. We were disappointed when the dish cracked after one use, but so happy with the wonderful customer service we received. I will definitely go back to the Chef’s Gallery.
They offer cooking classes most nights of the week for around $ 60 (similar to what you would pay at Kitchen Window or Cooks of Crocus Hill).

The Chef’s Gallery is great for all of us chefs… or in my case a chef wannabee! They have all the kitchen supplies you could imagine and offer cooking classes.
Their customer service is second to none! My wife and I purchased a pottery baking dish from them about 9 – 12 months ago. When it broke after the first use, we were disappointed. However, this past weekend we brought back the dish and explained what happened. They gave us store credit as we did not have the receipt. This was better than expected, I thought they would brush us off because they didn’t still carry the item. But they looked it up in their computer and gave us the full value towards another purchase.
To sum it up, they took care of us the way businesses should.

I love this place! Whenever my husband come into town to visit his parents we always try to make a stop here. I always envy the beautiful pots and pans we simply can’t afford but love all the little gadgets and fun smaller items that are definitely affordable. We always get some pumpkin bread mix because the brand they carry is hard to beat. I also love the other small jars of sauces and spreads they carry. Yum!
Another cool feature, which I think I would take advantage of if I was living in Stillwater or the area, are the cooking classes. Such a great idea!

Big news — I got a cutting board for Christmas from Chef’s Gallery, but it was the wrong one.
We buzzed down there on a Sunday to exchange the board for a new one. We were greeted by many people working in the store.
We grabbed the correct cutting board and made the exchange.
We chatted with the Assistant Manager about how the awesome cheese knives they sell.
Everyone there is very nice and helpful. As we walked out I said, «the people who work at this store are much nicer than the people at [a national chain cooking store]. You know where I’m talking about.
I’m upping my rating based on the courteous employees and great service I get everytime I walk in.

I guess it’s not fair to mark down a place ‘cuz it’s too crowded, right? HMMM… I just always feel closed in and tight in here… too many people, not enough room. People saying, «excuse me, pardon me, WE should buy this for the shower… yadda yadda yadda».
To their credit, they do have very helpful help. Overly helpful. And classes. That I’ve never been to. And a room of discounted stuff-​none of which actually is something that I would buy. Kinda flowery, Mary Englebright kinda stuff.
I would much rather spend my money here than William-​Sonoma. Yet. Crowded.
Just like Cooks of Crocus Hill or Kitchen Window. Just CROWDED. Especially Memorial Day weekend.

I went here awhile back with some co-​workers for a team building event. The context was that our last two events had been skeet shooting and paint balling. I think my manager thought I was on the verge of quiting because of all the guns. So how about knives, all dressed up under the guise of some swanky cooking event? Awesome!
Really though, it was an amazing day for our team. They split the 15 – 20 of us up into four groups to cook the meal. I don’t remember everything but my group made molten chocolate cake and the group I was envious of made tempura veggies. We were a bit mismatched in the amount of time it took us to cook, but when we finally sat down to eat the food was amazing and we could definitely appreciate the work of our teammates! Also appreciated, was the chef’s menu which was not dumbed down too much as many in our group enjoy cooking and wanted to learn something new.

I love coming here and seeing what ridiculous, new-​fangled kitchen gadget is all the and drooling over the All-​clads. They have a great selection of Le Creuset, wonderful knives, and they have every shape of bundt pan possible.
They’ve also got great staff who are more than willing to talk cooking with you and give you advice on what will work best for your budget. They also aren’t pushy and try to get you to buy things you don’t really need.
If you’re having a weekend in Stillwater or need to buy a foodie gift, this is one of the best places to go in that neck of the woods.

A great store for home chefs! Every square inch is packed with gadgets, cookware, bakeware, etc. and the prices are reasonable. The store itself is a little difficult to maneuver around given the sheer amount of product. I also felt a little like I was being watched constantly, which is disappointing since it is also true it’s hard to leave without dropping some serious cash. If you are going to watch your customers like they are all thieves, at least be friendly and ask if anyone needs assistance so it isn’t so obvious. :)

We all went crazy in this store, it just never ends. if you visit walk to the back, then keep walking, go around a corner and there is yet more fun and inspiring cooking gadgets at reasonable prices.
they had everything, a knife gallery, a corner for just tea and coffee cups, sauces, pots, pans, baking, decorations, glassware, and on and on. We couldn’t stay long because we were trying to make it to dinner but we could have occupied ourselves for a while.
things are piled on and there is product EVERYWHERE which is a little daunting because you don’t want to miss anything. There was also a cooking class being held while we visited.

One of the best kitchen stores in the area. Looks like a small space but it is deep and filled with useful items. This is a must stop when in Stillwater. I have found their prices to be pretty good as well.
Make a day of it, especially in the fall.

Yes this is a cooks heaven. I could have easily dropped some serious cash in this place. I think it is a what would happen if Cooks of Crocus Hill and Kitchen Windows had a overachieving child. The reason it doesn’t get 5 stars in the service. The staff is slow and little snotty. Plus I think they feel everyone is about to shoplift. What is up with that???
When I finally have a large kitchen and cash that can be spent on anything I will definitely come here. Just be nicer.

Think kid in a candy store. They are better than Cook’s of Crocus & Sur la Table — probably comparable to Kitchen Window in selection.
I walk in and just stare, so much to look at and I wanna touch everything.
The only reason I knocked a star off was because of my last experience there — normally I get great service and never want to leave.
But I encountered two employees that tried to pop my chef’s gallery nirvana bubble. The first was a rude man in the back table top area. My man is a chef and usually buys quite a bit here for work, the guy was less then helpful. The second was the lady that rang up our order, now keep in mind I usually can’t leave the store without spending at least $ 100. There is a clock right behind the counter — that would look great in my soon to be renovated kitchen. I asked how much it was — she says «it is not for sale»??? to quote a favorite show of mine «everything is for sale». She then proceeds to point to some other crapping clocks around the corner that were. This is a store — you sell stuff — either sell me the clock, price it out of the park so I don’t buy the clock or tell me where I can find the clock online to buy it. I left with my purchases pissed.
Deep breath — I love this store — make special trips to Stillwater for this store — will not let some rude employees ruin it for me.
On the bright side, the first guy who greeted us when we walked in the door was extremely helpful.
