Specialties
Pinnacle Motor Works specializes in European cars.
Larry has over 37 years experience servicing German automobiles. The shop currently has 5 technicians.
«We are equipped to handle any make and model, from fresh off the showroom to classics,» Larry says. «Our customers form a relationship with us because they want to keep driving their cars long after warranty.»
While Pinnacle will service and repair all kinds of cars, its primary focus is European vehicles, especially German. BMWs, Mercedes, Audis, Porsches and more are taken care of in a clean and well-maintained environment at its Stirling location.
For more than 25 years, Pinnacle has been BOSCH-authorized — a difficult accolade to achieve, given the stringency of the criteria — while Larry himself acquired his USA Master ASE Technician L1 Certification in 1997. He is also certified in emission repair by the State of New Jersey.
History
Established in 1983.
«We offer our customers a state-of-the-art auto repair shop with updated equipment,» notes Larry, who joined forces with a business partner, Yung Tan, in 2003. «We are committed to providing high-quality, friendly service at fair prices, and all our technicians are factory trained and always current with the new technology.»
That personal touch and passion for cars is what unites Pinnacle with its customers, many of whom have been bringing in their cars for over 20 years.
«Going to a dealership is impersonal,» explains Larry. «When people come to Pinnacle, it’s more one-on-one; people talk to me directly, as the owner of the business. We know that going to get your car repaired is a bit like going to the dentist: nobody loves doing it. But our focus is to make sure the customer is satisfied with the work we’ve done on his or her car, and we think we provide the best value for your service dollars.»

Meet the Business Owner
Larry G.
Business Owner
It all started with a 1958 190 Diesel Mercedes. That was the first car owned by Larry M. Goodman, owner and founder of Pinnacle Motor Works in Stirling — and it helped fuel a lifelong appreciation for European vehicles, and German engineering in particular.
After graduating from Ohio University, Larry went to work as a technician at Mercedes and BMW dealerships, until, in 1983, he broke away to set up his own independent garage. Clearly, it was the correct decision. That shop, Pinnacle Motor Works, at 10 Bay Street, will celebrate its 30th anniversary this summer.
